Jamari’s POV

Nestled up in Kenji’s warmth I feel sleep threatening to take over. I let out another loud yawn, trying to keep up with the words that are being spoken around me. My eyes grow heavy and I give up the fight to keep them open. I snuggle in closer to Kenji, enjoying the feel of his strong arms wrapped around me.

Having Levi and Kenji’s marks on me has made me feel more complete than I have felt in a long time. Now the only thing missing is Remiel’s mark. Rieka sighs at the mention of Remiel. Where did that Angel of mine run off to? He’s been gone a lot longer than he let on he would be gone.

He should have been here for this as well. His mark was supposed to be done at the same time as Kenji. I wanted this to bring us all together, hopefully easing any lingering tensions between the three Alpha males.

My ears perk up at Clotho’s words. Kenji got stronger? Is that even possible with as strong as his Lycan already is?

I force open my eyes so I can focus on what is bein

Rieka’s POVA sense of deja vu washes over me as I sit here quietly, listening to the Fates relay a story from long ago. Something about the story seems familiar to me, causing me to feel deep sadness within my soul.An image begins to play out in the open space of the bedroom floor, startling everyone in the room. Clotho’s knowing eyes glance in Jamari’s direction as a sense of familiarity consumes me.I turn my attention back to the image growing in clarity in the center of the room.A woman appears, sobbing, and surrounded by blood and pieces of the creatures she loved dearly. Three women approach her slowly, their hands up in the universal sign of peace. As they grow nearer I recognize them as the woman seated on the couch in front of me. The woman glances up at the sound of their approach, her face covered in blood and tears as another heart wrenching sob leaves her lips. “How can Fate be so cruel?” She asks them, not really expecting an answer. Clotho approaches the sobbing wo

Kenji’s POV“Is Rieka okay?” Levi asks Jamari, pulling her in for a bear hug.She looks up at him with sad eyes. “She will be. She just needs time to mourn what she’s lost.” Levi runs his hands up and down Jamari’s back in comforting strokes. ‘We won’t do that to our mate, right?’ Ren whimpers in my mind, laying his head on his paws. Watching the story play out in front of me brought up a lot of concerns I hadn’t allowed myself to dwell on. What happens when there are more of us vying for Jamari’s attention? Will we fight amongst each other in order to recieve the attention we seek? Then there is the underlying fear that someone will be unhappy enough to attack the others in order to keep Jamari to themselves. Most creatures wouldn’t be okay with sharing their mate with countless others. Especially if all of the mates are the Alpha males of their race. What happened to Rieka all of those years ago can not happen to Jamari. My eyes shift to where she stands wrapped up in Levi’s arms.

  • Rise of the Alpha Queen   Chapter 96- Becoming the Fates

Jamari’s POV My head whips up at the confession Lachesis just made, my eyes widening in surprise. The Fates were the ones responsible for keeping Kenji and I apart the last four years? Anger radiates off of Kenji, his shifting to black obsidian as Ren pushes to the surface, his power swirling around us. “Explain.” They growl as one. I softly place my hand over his on my thigh in an attempt to cool his rising anger. His angry eyes meet mine, small flames dancing far in their depths, reminding me of when Levi gets angry. “We can’t say too much on the matter, but just know that if you had formed a bond with Jamari in that garden like you had intended, it would have led to history repeating itself once more.” Clotho locks eyes with Kenji as she says this. We all sit silently in our spots as we wait to see what Kenji will do next. After a few moments, he nods his head, agreeing to let it drop for now. “Levi is the key to holding you all together.” Atropos tells us quietly, not gi

  • Rise of the Alpha Queen   Chapter 97- Assembling the Pieces

Jamari’s POV “Athena’s life was the first of many lives that she has lived throughout the ages. Each of those lives has ended in tragedy. Her soul became entwined with Rieka’s during their last life, lessening her powers as a goddess, and hopefully saving her from her brother’s wrath in this life.” Clotho leans back wearily. Sensing that they couldn’t say more on the subject, and knowing that Levi would not leave it alone this time, I decided to change the subject to something they mentioned earlier. “You told Kenji that he was the one that made his shorts appear earlier, what did you mean by that?” Clotho gives me a grateful look as she settles herself into her seat. “Each mating will allow your mates to take a piece of each other’s powers as their own.” “Thus making us all stronger.” Kenji says from beside me, finally understanding what they meant by that earlier. “Is that why everything sounds louder and my vision is clearer?” Levi asks, surprising me. “I also feel stronger th

The last thing I remember is walking Eve to the Throne Room before I wake up in my bed in the Angel Realm the following day. It wasn’t until a month later that I found out that Mammon was pregnant, and the child was mine. Disgusted with what she had done, Mammon tried to kill herself, putting the life of my child in danger. After the first time that Mammon tried to harm herself I had no choice but to lock her away in the Angel Realm. She cried herself to sleep every night at the thought of what she did to me. Not that she remembered it happening anymore than I did. If it wasn’t for Morgana confirming that Mammon was pregnant with my child, neither of us would have believed Eve’s accusation that the child wasn’t Lucifer’s and was in fact t

Remiel’s POV “Now now…Lucy Darling, don’t get your panties in a bunch.” Eve snickers at Lucifer. “There is nothing you can do to me from that side of your prison.” Her eyes leave Lucifer as she roams my body from head to toe. “You have grown into quite the attractive Angel.” She purrs at me, receiving a growl from Lucifer behind me. Eve ignores Lucifer as she continues to look me over, lust clear in her eyes. “The fun the two of us could have.” Her voice comes out a sultry whisper, invading my brain, attempting to take hold. ‘Block out her voice Remiel. Don’t let her get a hold on you.’ Uncle Luc’s voice flits through my mind, drawing my attention to the spell Eve is trying to weave on my senses. “Your sorcery won’t work on me Eve.” My eyes watch her closely as I back closer to Lucifer’s prison, pressing my back against the magical barrier separating us. “What a shame.” She feigns confliction, her left arm laying across her upper abdomen as she inspects the fingernails on her r

  • Rise of the Alpha Queen   Chapter 100- Mother Dearest

Levi’s POVWatching the blood flood from Jamari was the scariest moment of my life. My heart stopped within my chest as Kenji searched her stomach for the wound that was gushing blood. Things became even more alarming when Kenji was unable to find any wound to account for the blood still rushing out of Jamari. If there is no wound, then there is no way to stop the flow of blood dripping off of her. Not that the loss of blood seems to be affecting Jamari at all. She should be acting lethargic from the amount of blood that came out, but she seems perfectly fine as she lays back on the mattress. What the hell is going on right now?Clotho approaches Jamari, placing her hand on her abdomen, her hand becoming soaked in blood. Her eyes fade to white, a concentrated look appearing on her face, as she searches for something from Fate. After a moment she lets out a growl of frustration, her eyes returning to their natural three-toned color. “Something is blocking me from seeing Remiel.” Her

Levi’s POVLetting out a deep sigh I walk through the barrier separating me from my father and close to death cousin. Remiel looks up at me upon my entrance, a grimace on his face. My arms fold over my chest as I stare down at my wounded cousin. “Bet you wish you had stayed with us, huh cousin?”“Quit being an asshole Demon.” He growls, lifting his body to a seated position with the help of my father. “And get me out of here before you have to explain to our mate how you allowed me to bleed to death on your father’s bearskin rug.” He looks down at the rug with mild interest.“Trust me, you don’t want to know about the rug.” A shiver of disgust moves through me. Remiel lifts an eyebrow in question but decides against asking any questions about the questionable rug. Pushing the horrors of the rug out of my mind, I reach down and grasp Remiel’s shoulder. In an instant his wound stopped bleeding as his skin knitts back together. Remiel lets out a groan of pain at the increased speed of

  • Rise of the Alpha Queen   Chapter 166- Entering the Vampire Realm

Jamari’s POVAnxiety courses through my body as we prepare to depart for the Vampire Realm. Aside from my few visits to the Demon Realm and my visit to the Garden of Eden, I haven’t left the Human Realm often. What would the Vampire Realm be like? Would it be eternal darkness so the vampires don’t turn to dust in the sun?A chuckle of nervous energy escapes me at the thought. I doubt the vampires burst into flames in the sun like the movies portray. I’m pretty sure that Eve had some vampires with her when she was trying to get into the Church grounds last week.Another reason for my anxiety is the Vampire King. Lucern. A shiver passes through me at the thought of his name. The interest my body shows in just his name has me concerned for how I will react upon meeting him. If Levi and Kenji’s theory is correct, he could possibly be one of my mates as well. I don’t know if I am ready for another mate just yet. I finally have a working relationship with both Levi and Kenji, and I have Re

  • Rise of the Alpha Queen   Chapter 165- Preparing for the Vampire Realm

Kenji’s POV “When do we leave for the Vampire Realm?” I would love nothing more than to put off going to the Vampire Realm so I can keep Jamari between just Levi and I a little longer, but we need to release Remiel from his prison quickly. “I have had Ruth send word to Lucern that we are requesting an audience with him and Morgana.” Levi tells me distractedly. Levi has been quiet since we saw his mother outside of the Church yesterday afternoon. “What is troubling you Levi?” I ask him, worried that something might be wrong. “You have been quiet since we came back from the Church and that is not like you.” That was an understatement of course. Levi is the exact opposite of quiet and has been the whole time that I’ve known him. Levi glances in my direction, a frown on his face. “Something has been bothering me since we last spoke with my mother.” He tells me, moving to sit on the couch beside me. “This sounds serious.” I turn my body so I am facing Levi. “It could be a disaste

  • Rise of the Alpha Queen   Chapter 164- Release Remiel

Eve’s POVIt’s been three days since I was last at the old Church ruins, unable to bring myself to come back here after the memories from long ago resurfaced. My eyes roam over the courtyard, as memories of happier times floods me, bringing tears to my eyes. We were supposed to get the rest of our lives together, or at least the rest of his life, instead our life together was cut short, shorter than even humans and their partners. There is no way that Shappa is still alive in the Fae Realm. Time moves differently over there making more time to have passed there than it has here. I let out a deep sigh as the weight of my grief once again threatens to weigh me down. I would give anything to at least get the chance to see my daughter again. Even if she is all grown up. A tear slides down my face. I pray to whichever God or Goddess that will listen that my Father was never able to get his hands on her and make her a part of his harem. Grandfathers shouldn’t have such thoughts. Magic sw

  • Rise of the Alpha Queen   Chapter 163- What We've Been Looking For

Jamari’s POVI’m not sure why Levi thinks the book will magically appear in the desk when it wasn’t here the first time that we checked, but if there is a chance that he could be right about the book being returned to the desk, I am willing to try it. Moving over to the desk, I take a seat in the chair behind the desk and look around. A feeling suddenly washes over me causing a look of surprise to appear on my face. My eyes snap up to where Kenji and Levi stand on the other side of the desk, their attention solely on me. I glance back down at the desk as I run my hand over the top with my palm facing down. Magic sizzles against my skin, surprising me. I jerk my hand back as I stare down at the empty space on the desk in bewilderment. “Do you guys feel that?” I ask, looking back up to Kenji and Levi. They put their hands over the top of the desk like what I had done, holding it there for longer than what I did, before pulling away and shaking their heads.A frown forms on my brow. M

  • Rise of the Alpha Queen   Chapter 162- Rieka's Return

Jamari’s POVA wholeness fills my mind the moment that Rieka returns back to her place at the forefront with me. The feel of her return wakes me from my sleep, the first restful sleep I have experienced in days. The dream that has plagued me since our run in with Eve thankfully didn’t haunt my dreams for once. ‘I’m sorry Mari, I didn’t mean to wake you.’ Rieka whispers in apology. A laugh moves through our link from me. ‘Why are you whispering? We’re talking inside my head.’ Fully awake now, I attempt to see the clock on the table beside Kenji, but his giant shoulder is blocking my view. I let out a quiet sigh, giving up on seeing what time it is so I don’t wake either of the men surrounding me. ‘She’s whispering because you tend to broadcast your conversations into our heads.’ Levi’s voice fills my mind as he pulls my body so I lay curved against his naked body. Interest begins to stir within me, the jump of his cock on my ass giving away his interest as well. ‘Sorry Handsome, I

  • Rise of the Alpha Queen   Chapter 161- The Search for Athena

Rieka’s POV‘I will need to search for her within your mind Mari.’ I tell Jamari, as I think of the best way to find and talk to Athena. Mari is right, searching through all of these books isn’t getting us any closer to finding the answer to releasing Remiel and Lucifer from their prison. Getting in contact with Athena is a long shot, but if it helps us find the book we’re searching for sooner, then it is worth trying, even if it will make me weak for a while after. I’ll just leave that part out though, Mari would tell me to forget it and continue to look through all of these books. I can’t let her do that though. ‘So does that mean that you will be gone again?’ Mari asks me, sadness coating her words. Both Kenji and Levi make a sound of surprise at Jamari’s words. ‘Gone again?’ They both ask at the same time, their wide eyes turning to look at Jamari. Guilt moves through me at the reminder that I disappeared for a couple of days. Jamari had called out to me many times during that t

  • Rise of the Alpha Queen   Chapter 160- Finding Another Way

Levi’s POVI glance up in surprise when I sense Jamari’s presence appearing within the library. Glancing at the watch wrapped around my left wrist, I realize that it has only been four hours since I sent Jamari away with Kenji to rest. Kenji walks through the portal behind Jamari, his hands raised in defense before I can question their quick return. Jamari stops to stare at me, a defensive look taking over her face. “Don’t start with me Levi.” She grumbles, making her way to the table scattered with books. “I couldn’t sleep so I might as well be of some use here.”I watch Jamari flip through books for a few minutes, my presence completely forgotten in her quest to find the spell to set Remiel free. I turn my attention back to Kenji, raising a brow in question. Averting his eyes, he pretends to be interested in the pile of books on the table beside him. ‘You weren’t supposed to return until she got at least six hours of rest.’ I berate through our link, my arms moving up to fold over

Jamari’s POVI jerk awake as my dream starts to fade from my mind. That was a weird dream. And far more vivid than any that I am used to having. I shake my head to clear my thoughts. All of the stress of the last few days must be catching up to me. Why else would the same dream be plaguing me everytime I close my eyes?I let out a tired sigh, my eyes wandering to the clock on the bedside table. 3:33 am. A yawn escapes me, reminding me that I only just went to bed two hours ago. Kenji begins to stir beside me, his arm searching for me in his sleep.None of us have gotten much sleep these past few days. All of us running around the clock with little breaks for rest and food in between. Despite searching through all of the books that we found with the words Forbidden Magic in the title, we still haven’t found what we are looking for.Two days have gone by since we first entered the hidden library, and we are still no closer to releasing Remiel from his prison than we were before we enter
