"Am I really going to climb this till I actually break my legs? I've been doing this for the past thirty minutes!" Athena complained. "If that's what's going to kill you at the ceremony, we can just do climbing for tonight," Athena's left foot was hanging in the air and the only source of her support were both of her hands grabbing onto the jagged side of the rock and one foot on the rock's foothold. "It's strenuous," "It wouldn't have been if you could shape shift properly. I use my claws to climb and it's really easy," Athena pushed herself up with her right foot and balanced her left foot on the nearest foothold. She was breathing heavily by now. "Then why are you stressing me out?! I could easily do that if you teach me how to shape shift." "I chose the hard way." "My muscles are burning, Alexander," Athena cried as she pushed herself up again. She was already close to the top of the rock but she could feel the rough edges of the rock pierce the flesh o
About two hours later, athena decided that they were done. she fell to the ground while breathing heavily and glaring at alex who kept laughing at her. "fuck you, alex." "you've been saying that all night. you're giving me a signal, aren't you?" alex said as he dropped on the floor beside her. athena punched his arm and he yelped. "ow! you punch real hard," athena laughed. "i never said i was weak. the only thing i can't do is climb and i'm getting good at it," "well, after tomorrow and the next, we'd focus on making you shape shift," to that, athena blew out a deep breath. "i can't wait," she said, her voice laced with sarcasm. alex stood his feet and stretched his hand down to her. "here, we have to go now. we're done and it's almost three o'clock. i'm sure you'd be craving your beauty sleep," athena took his hand and he pulled her up. she fell against his chest and groaned in tiredness. "why are you so comfy?" alex let her rest her head on his chest
Heyli woke up with a start. She found someone staring down at her and she screamed, scrambling for the other side of the bed. She had no idea that she had gotten to the edge of the bed and she fell to the ground with a thump. "Hmph!" "Are you okay?" "Yeah, I'm fine," Heyli said and came back up. She smiled and gave Alex a thumbs up. "I was shocked to see you staring down at me so I freaked out." Alex nodded. "I'm sorry if I scared you. Well, I didn't barge into your room. That would have been really disrespectful of me," Then he gestured to Athena who stepped forward. "She suggested that I healed you so you could continue training," Slowly, I move forward. Athena is dressed in a very pale blue dress. She looks unreal. With her hair styled and black obsidian eyes bright. She has minimal make up on and the cherry red lipstick on her lips makes her look like some princess out of a book. Her skin is the color of milk and her nose, really sharp. Heyli feels h
As Heyli got dressed for training, she could think about what Athena's decision would be. As it stood now, she was getting ready to be turned down and thrown out of the palace. Maybe today would be her last day here and she had to let everyone know, including Loki whom she greatly disliked. Sighing, she put on her boots and tied the lace before standing in front of her vanity table and spritzing her perfume. She reveled in the fragrance, knowing that this would likely be the last time she'd use it. And also, she was going to make sure she returned really late. Late enough for everyone to be asleep so Athena could break the news to her. As she left her room, one of the maids standing by her door handed her a backpack. It looked new. She had never had one like this in the past. What if this was the bag she'd be leaving with? Her heart was heavy and she didn't dare open it. She slung it over her back and hurried down the steps. As she walked to the main entrance of
"You know you can soften up a bit to Heyli, right?" Asked as he watched Athena put on her dress. "You don't always have to scare her," "I'm not scaring anyone and I have softened a bit to her. Wasn't I the one who convinced you to go heal her?" "You only did that because you wanted her to participate in the games today so she can gain more experience," Athena turned to look at him. She narrowed her eyes. "Why are you even here, watching me dress up? You should be in your room getting dressed up yourself." "Need glasses?" "What do you mean?" Athena frowned. She tied the strings of rope to the side of her body, causing the corset she was wearing to snatch her waist. "I'm dressed up already. You're the one taking my time," Alex said. "Go find something else to do, then." "I love watching you dress up. I don't think there's anything else for me to do," Sighing, Athena returned to putting on her dress. She had dismissed her maids today and asked t
Sighing, Heyli straightened fully. Loki was frowning like he didn't like the fact that she was here, eavesdropping on his conversation. "What? I was here before you guys came with your drama or whatever!" Heyli immediately defended. Loki facepalm. "That's not why I'm upset at you n what the fuck are you doing here? I've been looking everywhere for you," Heyli slowly picked up her bag. She remembered the reason why she had run to this place and there was no one she could tell it apart from Ciara or Alex or Daniel or Athena (Well, hers was going to be a hard one). "Well, you can see me here. What's it?" "King Athena has been asking after you. She wanted to see you on the field." "Really?" Heyli asked with wide eyes. "Yes, really. Your friends and I have been searching around for you!" "Is it that important?" Heyli asked. "I have no idea. All I know is that she's looking for you. What the fuck are you doing here?" He asked again. Heyli shr
"Where's Loki? I haven't seen him since I asked him to go get Heyli for me," Athena whispered to Alex who sat beside her on one of the special seats. Alex was watching the warrior teams warm up when she spoke to him. He shrugged. "I have no idea. This area is safe, isn't it?" "It is. But who knows what might happen with Heyli? Remember I appointed Loki to her so she can be protected from herself and from harming others when she shifts unexpectedly." "Full moon isn't until next week," Alex replies. "Loki knows what to do. I hope you told him everything about Heyli?" Athena nodded "of course. I did. I also made him swear not to tell anyone." "That's good. She's safe. I feel like they're together. Wherever they are, she's definitely safe. I trust Loki," "I don't trust him with her," Athena countered. Alexander whipped his head to look at her in confusion. "What do you mean? You think she's in danger with him?" Athena shrugged. "Not per se." "Then
The games finally started after the ring of a large bell. Everyone began cheering including Athena. She was also excited to see how it'd turn out even though she knew she was never going to admit that truth to Alexander. Firstly, the amateur team came and displayed the tricks they had learnt. A young girl blew out fire from her mouth and everyone cheered then a younger boy came up to do stunts that amazed everyone, Alex included. "How the hell did he do that?!" "He's really amazing," Athena said laughing. Someone came onto the podium to speak before the begining of the main event. They began by thanking everyone for participating in the games and also thanked the guests before specially thanking the Royal family for appearing today. Then the games started. Athena still hadn't seen Heyli or Loki and she was starting to get really worried. Heyli was supposed to participate in one of the games with the junior team and she had assigned Loki to her to protect he
