"You know you can soften up a bit to Heyli, right?" Asked as he watched Athena put on her dress. "You don't always have to scare her," "I'm not scaring anyone and I have softened a bit to her. Wasn't I the one who convinced you to go heal her?" "You only did that because you wanted her to participate in the games today so she can gain more experience," Athena turned to look at him. She narrowed her eyes. "Why are you even here, watching me dress up? You should be in your room getting dressed up yourself." "Need glasses?" "What do you mean?" Athena frowned. She tied the strings of rope to the side of her body, causing the corset she was wearing to snatch her waist. "I'm dressed up already. You're the one taking my time," Alex said. "Go find something else to do, then." "I love watching you dress up. I don't think there's anything else for me to do," Sighing, Athena returned to putting on her dress. She had dismissed her maids today and asked t
Sighing, Heyli straightened fully. Loki was frowning like he didn't like the fact that she was here, eavesdropping on his conversation. "What? I was here before you guys came with your drama or whatever!" Heyli immediately defended. Loki facepalm. "That's not why I'm upset at you n what the fuck are you doing here? I've been looking everywhere for you," Heyli slowly picked up her bag. She remembered the reason why she had run to this place and there was no one she could tell it apart from Ciara or Alex or Daniel or Athena (Well, hers was going to be a hard one). "Well, you can see me here. What's it?" "King Athena has been asking after you. She wanted to see you on the field." "Really?" Heyli asked with wide eyes. "Yes, really. Your friends and I have been searching around for you!" "Is it that important?" Heyli asked. "I have no idea. All I know is that she's looking for you. What the fuck are you doing here?" He asked again. Heyli shr
"Where's Loki? I haven't seen him since I asked him to go get Heyli for me," Athena whispered to Alex who sat beside her on one of the special seats. Alex was watching the warrior teams warm up when she spoke to him. He shrugged. "I have no idea. This area is safe, isn't it?" "It is. But who knows what might happen with Heyli? Remember I appointed Loki to her so she can be protected from herself and from harming others when she shifts unexpectedly." "Full moon isn't until next week," Alex replies. "Loki knows what to do. I hope you told him everything about Heyli?" Athena nodded "of course. I did. I also made him swear not to tell anyone." "That's good. She's safe. I feel like they're together. Wherever they are, she's definitely safe. I trust Loki," "I don't trust him with her," Athena countered. Alexander whipped his head to look at her in confusion. "What do you mean? You think she's in danger with him?" Athena shrugged. "Not per se." "Then
The games finally started after the ring of a large bell. Everyone began cheering including Athena. She was also excited to see how it'd turn out even though she knew she was never going to admit that truth to Alexander. Firstly, the amateur team came and displayed the tricks they had learnt. A young girl blew out fire from her mouth and everyone cheered then a younger boy came up to do stunts that amazed everyone, Alex included. "How the hell did he do that?!" "He's really amazing," Athena said laughing. Someone came onto the podium to speak before the begining of the main event. They began by thanking everyone for participating in the games and also thanked the guests before specially thanking the Royal family for appearing today. Then the games started. Athena still hadn't seen Heyli or Loki and she was starting to get really worried. Heyli was supposed to participate in one of the games with the junior team and she had assigned Loki to her to protect he
"Go ahead and join your team." Loki said and pushed Heyli forward. The amateur team all stood together and as soon as Heyli saw Nina, Kayla and Melodie, she walked to them. "Hey, girls," "Where the hell have you been?" Kayla asked as she pulled Heyli to the side. She scrutinized her. "At the river. I had no idea there was a river here. It's so beautiful!" Heyli said in an excited tone but it was obvious that none of the girls were finding things funny. "Harrison has been looking everywhere for you," Nina said calmly. Harrison's name sounded like sour apples in her mouth. "Why?" She shrugged. "I have no idea. Probably to assign you to your team. But don't worry, you're in our group." Heyli nodded. "Can you guys fill me in on what happened while I was gone?" "Gone with Loki?" Melodie said and rolled her eyes. "People are starting to think that you both are an item," Heyli huffed a breath. "As long as you three don't believe it, I'm okay with
"Your task is to go into the woods, and come back with a red emblem. It's just one and one team has to get it to win a prize and also increase their rank on the scoreboard," One of the senior team members says out loud. "This is going to be fun!"Melodie squealed. Only Hazel shared her excitement but the other girls didn't find it fun. "Heyli, Melodie is a beast in the game and she has this sadistic tendency. That's why she's happy. She's happy that she would be giving someone from another team an injury. So don't share her excitement," Heyli looked at Melodie but this time, she did so in another light. Melodie was the most lighthearted and carefree person among them all. Why would she be sadistic? She didn't even look like she could hurt a fly. As she looked around, her eyes caught Harrison. He was standing with a group of guys his height or even taller and they cracked jokes to attract the females standing around them. Heyli shook her head and turned back to her
"Are you sure Heyli would be safe out there?" Athena asked Alex as they both walked hand in hand towards the table containing food. Now that the main games had begun, their journey was being announced by a GPS map which showed each point for each time with their color beeping on the screen. "Didn't you ask Loki to follow them secretly in case of any looming danger?" Alex asked as he piled up his plate with food. Athena was busy looking at the screen. "What color is Heyli's team?" "Sage green," Alex replied and joined her in watching the projector screen display. He used his finger to pick on the potato chips and picked up a ball of meat which he tore through with his sharp teeth. He frowned when he saw their position. "They're behind everyone else and it showed that they stopped moving for five minutes." Athena began to panic immediately. "Are you sure something hasn't happened to her? She probably shape shifted and started attacking everyone." "Calm
For a split second, Ciara felt her life flash before her eyes as the car overturned while cranking loudly. They were on a lonely road and that was more dangerous than anything. No help from anywhere and they sure couldn't beat this thing. "Hold onto the handle on the roof!" Daniel cried out as the car began to tilt sideways. Ciara immediately did as she was told. She had encountered a lot of difficult and dangerous situations but none of it had made her as afraid as she was right now. She wanted to cry and she wanted to fight that beast. "What do we do, Daniel! This car is going to overturn and we'd get injured," Daniel was at the other side of the car, holding onto the roof handle for dear life and he whipped his head towards her. "Hold onto the handle first! We need to save our lives before anything else!" The driver was also holding onto dear life and as the car overturned, Ciara felt a wave of dizziness wash over her. She blinked her eyes to ea
