"What is the message?" I inquired, expecting the worst and wanting to know whether the news was awful.
"He instructed me to inform you that the human magic would not continue indefinitely and that you must act quickly while slaying the prince mutt since time is running out." Joshua, my Father's messenger, said to me, but I could sense his disgust when he mentioned the term mongrel because he despised werewolves since they had slain his family during the battle, and he had dedicated his life to eradicating them.
"I appreciate it, Joshua. Tell my Father not to worry for the werewolf prince will die at my hands shortly," I lied to him, feeling relieved that my father, the Vampire King, was unaware that the werewolf prince was my soul mate.
He must have felt I was lying because he just bowed and walked away. This was not a pleasant situation, but I just let him leave. At the very least, I had more time to consider my options.
