Declaration of war

Giovanni looks up from the document when he notices that his visitor has arrived. When he was told that this man was in front of his house's gates, requesting a sudden meeting, he thought of two things. The first is that his place is really unveiled, as rats appear here all the time. And the second is that Eleonor must have made a very good impression last night.

“Sebastian Guntbert… I never imagined that you would be in this house…” Giovanni points to the chair in front of him and lowers the documents onto the table. “Please sit down.”

The man approaches and sits down; his body seems less plump than the last time Giovanni remembers.

“I see you're doing well… you've lost weight. Are you trying a new diet?”

“Geez, boy… are you trying to flatter or offend me?” Sebastian's voice takes on a playful tone. “Your wife is much more subtle, but easy to understand.”
