Josh Batton and the others reluctantly left the house by noon, leaving behind Xyla Quest, Stanley Batton, Wilson Batton, and Sharon Lindt in the end.

Wilson couldn’t stop gazing at his grandchildren in the nursery.

He picked one up and then the other, an action mimicked by Sharon.

Xyla stood nearby, watching them as she smiled subconsciously.

If she could, she wished she could stay in this moment forever.
