Chapter 45: First Day

I would be always grateful that Wade was with us right now. If it weren't for his help I don’t know if I could still go on with life given the hardships I had faced.

When Aiden told me that he wouldn’t be able to find a new job for me at the Packhouse, I must admit that I’ve lost all of my remaining hope. But I kept on acting tough and act as if I wasn’t toring apart on the inside especially in front of my twins.

However, Wade knew me so well that he was still able to figure out what truly happen given the fact that I didn’t tell him a thing. It may be from eavesdropping on my conversation with Aiden, but still, he was able to find a solution to my problem which I thought I could never overcome.

Today would be my first day of working as his secretary, and I have already made a clear promise to myself that I will do everything perfectly for Wade to think that I truly deserve the place he’s given me.
