But would it make any difference if I by any chance answered that text message? I could have save Lauren from anything that might harm her. But I did not.

Am I the one to blame? She left her twin babies with me leaving me no other choice but to stand as their mother.

“Lily? Did you hear me? Did Lauren had left anything?” Aiden impatiently asked.

I told him everything that I remembered before leaving. But he doesn’t seem to be satisfied with it.

“Is that the only message the text was containing? Did you read it through? Or remember the number at least?” Aiden continuously asked, leaving me surprised and in awe.

I understand that he wants to find Lauren for me, but the dedication and time he was putting here is undeniably questionable.

He seemed to be doing this not for me anymore. I wanted to think he actually knows my twin sister, but I also knew I would only be fooling myself to believe that.
