66 Harrison's Anger

Kayla’s POV

"You spent six years in Europe with my daughter without a word?!"

"My daughter! My only child! You knew that, and you kept it a secret for six years?! How dare you, Kayla?!"

Harrison advanced towards me step by step.

His deep green eyes resembled a volcano on the brink of eruption, and the fiery rage about to burst forth could bury me entirely.

"Listen to me, Harrison!" I grabbed hold of Harrison's sleeve, recalling the difficult years of the past.

"Six years ago, my mother suddenly sent me abroad and left a letter, telling me I couldn't come back home. My father brought his lover and illegitimate daughter home the day after my mother's funeral. Before I could even recover from the shock of the family upheaval, I found out I was pregnant... I had no idea what to do back then..."

I cried bitterly, but Harrison's gaze showed no sign of understanding or sympathy.

"You say you didn't know what to do?"
