Mates

The whole pack was busy preparing for the ceremony. There were those who were arranging decorations in all the spaces while others were putting gold and flowers all around.

Our wedding day has come. But I noticed the sadness in his eyes so I immediately approached him.

"Is there any problem, Alpha?" I asked him, worriedly.

"Until now, I still hope that my brother will come back," he answered sadly.

I held my breath at what he said. Even though I never really met his brother, I couldn't help but feel sad for him.

"I would not have accepted being Alpha if I had known that my relationship with my brother would be destroyed," he said.

"Don't blame yourself, Alpha. Your father chose you because you deserve it." I replied.

"Stop thinking about things that will hurt you. We are getting married and in a few minutes I will be your Luna," I said to him with a smile.

"I'm sorry, Riana. I just can't stop it" he apologized even though he shouldn't be apologizing to me. Whatever he feels is Valid.

I couldn't stop myself from hugging him tightly to comfort him. I can clearly see how soft Alpha Killian's heart is for his brother. Because of that I love him even more and I know I won't regret this thing.

After our conversation I said goodbye to go to my room. I still need to clean up to be presentable in front of him later. We said goodbye to each other and I smiled sweetly at him.

"See you later, Alpha" I said with a smile and his only response was a smile.

When I entered my room, I saw Melisa waiting for me. She is the one who will fix my face to be pleasant.

I smiled and approached her and sat in front of the Vanity Mirror.

"Do you think I'm really beautiful?" I asked while looking at myself in the mirror.

I saw Melisa shake her head and simply smile in front of the mirror.

"Why are you asking that, Riana?" she asked with a smile.

"You're beautiful in your own way so you deserve to be a Luna," she smiled at me. 

"Really? Do you think it's appropriate for me to be a Luna of bloody Scar?" I asked again.

To be honest, I don't really have confidence in myself. I feel like there is someone better than me. But Melisa insists that I am the most beautiful female wolf she has met in all of Harvard.

Even though I know she's just flattering me, I still smile. I feel like I'm the luckiest woman in the world.

All the werewolves in Bloody scar are attracted and flirting with Alpha Killian. But he still chose me to be his mate.

A few moments later the ceremony began. I took a deep breath before walking out the door of my room.

I feel a mixture of nervousness and excitement at those times.

When I left the door, I walked slowly and saw Alpha Killian in the distance and all members of the pack who will witness our bonding as mates. I slowly walked closer to him while we stared at each other.

We were smiling and staring at each other at that time. Suddenly the movement of things around me slowed down. The man I'm in front of me is very handsome and he is the one I'll be with for a long time.

"Hey, are you alright?" he asked.

"Y–Yeah, of course," I stammered.

I am stunned by the handsomeness of this man. He is plump, white, tall and has very beautiful eyes.

"I, Alpha Killian Silvestre, accept you as my mate, my beloved Luna, Riana.

I promise to protect and love you until death.”

I can't explain the thrill I felt at that time. That feeling like there are butterflies flying inside my stomach.

"I, Riana Alabama, promise to accept and love you, Alpha Killian for the rest of my life." I promised.

After we exchanged vows, he put the ring on my hand and bit my neck as a symbol of bond.

Everyone applauded when they witnessed our bond as mates in front of them.

After the ceremony, everyone happily shared dinner. Many of them were dancing and drinking. Everyone celebrated with great happiness. But there was someone else that was against the two of us.

Almost all of them were the female wolves who liked my Alpha. He noticed that I was getting irritated by their bad looks on me so he held my hand. He also kissed me in front of them so I just smiled. He always gives me an assurance that he only loves me.

"No matter how many beautiful woman I see, nothing can bet the beauty of my Luna," he said softly while smiling at me.

"I'm really lucky to have you, my dear Alpha," I replied with a smile.

Over the days, months and years, nothing has changed in his love for me.

That’s why I loved and trusted him even more. We have also won many battles against the enemies together. We ruled the Bloody Scar peacefully and well for a decade.

Until one day I noticed a sudden change in him. I was restless so I took a courage to confront him.

"What's the matter, Sweetheart?" I asked her.

"Nothing," he answered sparingly.

I don't know why I could barely breathe at that time. Why was my mind full of doubts? 

I knew there was something different about the way he treated me. I knew he was cold towards me but why?

"I know there is a problem, so please tell me," I convinced him.

"Don't you understand?!" he asked with a frown.

I was surprised when the tone of his voice suddenly rose. I took a deep breath and looked into his eyes.

“Fuck off! “he cursed.

I immediately left because I can’t help my tears from falling. I thought he was going to follow me but I didn't even see his shadow following me.

I heard the conversation of two women in the distance and I didn't like what I heard from them.

"Luna Riana’s betrayal of Alpha Killian has spread throughout Harvard so she should be banish. She doesn't deserve to be a Luna"

"I can't believe Luna Riana could do that, Abby,"

I couldn't stop myself from approaching them. I boldly confronted them for gossiping about me.

"Did I hear right? You two are gossiping about me?!" I asked them in disgust as I raised my eyebrows while crossing my two hands below my chest.

"That's disrespectful, Luna Riana. But that news came from Zillah herself. Is it really true that you betrayed our beloved Alpha?" the woman asked me.

I was very hurt and felt angry at what I heard from her. What right does that woman have to destroy me at all?

"Zillah?!"

"Get ready for me, woman!"

I immediately left to rush and confront that stupid woman. I was shaking with anger at that time while I was going to her room. But I stopped when I heard a woman's moan and the man's familiar moan.

I was shaking with a mixture of nervousness, pain and anger at that time. I guess I couldn't open the door. But I still dared to open it to confirm what my mind was saying. And my world was literally shattered by what I witnessed at that time.
