Acceptance

"You seem to be thinking deeply," he said as he approached me.

I took a deep breath and smiled at him. I don't know how to start. How can I say that I accept him as my mate. Should I just wait for him to talk about it?

"Have you been there for a while?" I asked.

"What do you think?" I returned my question with a smile.

I couldn't help but look into his eyes.He looked at me and his eyes is like a magnet at that time because I can't avoid it.

"Are you still not ready?" he asked seriously.

I swallowed saliva at his question and I don't know what to answer. Am I really sure about my decision?

"You need to change your fate so you can forget the past, Riana. Don't trap yourself in the past because you're the only one who will have a hard time," said my mind.

"But I'm still committed to Alpha Killian. I'm still committed to Bloody Scar," my heart protested.

"Have you forgotten what they did to you? Have you forgotten how that man betrayed you? Have you forgotten?!” My mind tried to remind me of the nightmare that happened in the past.

Anger built up inside me at that time. I was quiet for a moment and I didn't realize that I was momentarily stunned in front of Alpha Diego.

"Riana?" he said.

"Y—Yes," I answered directly.

"Yes?" he asked me to confirm what I meant.

"Yes, I am ready to accept you as my mate, Alpha," I answered.

There, I saw a smile on his lips. He immediately hugged me tightly and I also hugged him at that time. I don't know if my decision was right. All I know is that I am desperate to change what is destined for me. I am destined to become Luna of the Bloody Stone and I must forget my old pack to start a new one. He was the only one there for me when I was devastated so there's nothing wrong If I accept him now.

 

Alpha Diego gradually built the pieces that I lost. I learned to trust a man again and I promise to give my full loyalty to him.

"You will not regret accepting me, Riana.

"Promise I will give you everything that I have. My kingdom and my power. We will lead together my beloved pack," he said with a smile.

I smiled at what he said and after all he showed me it might not be bad if I trust him.

I feel that he is very different from Alpha Killian. They may have similarities but I feel very different at those times. I want to change my fate and that will only happen if I would start my life again as a Luna of Bloody Stone. I will start again with the man I am hugging now.

"I know someday I will learn to love you more than I love him," said my mind.

"Fuck him!" I cursed.

Alpha Diego was surprised by what I said and I was also surprised. I immediately changed the conversation between the two of us.

"What did you say?" he asked.

"I said thank you but you don't have to say that," I said.

"Which one?" he asked again.

"Please don't make any promises like you will give everything to me. Promises mean to be broken, Alpha" I answered.

"Well, I keep my promises. I have said what I wanted to say and you know how happy I am now," he insisted.

I tried to smile and he held my hand. He invited me down to let everyone know of my acceptance of him as a mate.

"They need to know this. I'm sure everyone will be happy for us, Riana," he said with a smile as we walked hand in hand.

I didn't argue anymore because I could see that he was happy. I don't want to ruin his happy moment.

"Everyone please pay attention. I have an important announcement to all of you," he said smiling in front of his pack that was currently in training.

They stopped and looked in our direction. They immediately bowed to pay respect to him and waited for what he had to say.

"What is that, Alpha?" Elias asked, one of the gammas.

"I'm happy to say that he accepts being the Luna of our pack. We will get married soon," he announced, proudly.

Everyone was surprised and screamed for joy. I can see the support of his pack when I sit on the throne as their Luna.

"We will rule the entire Bloody Stone together," he said seriously.

“A victory!”another gammas shouted and the others followed in shouting to show their support.

We smiled at each other and he kissed my hand in front of them. And here is the beginning of a new life with Alpha Diego. I hope this time I have made a right choice.

As the days passed, many people were busy putting up decorations for our upcoming wedding. He prepared a very grand ceremony for both of us but I told him that we don't need a grand ceremony anymore.

"We don't need such a grand ceremony, Alpha." I told him.

"Why not?" he asked me back.

"As I told you I will give you everything I have. I have my kingdom and power to make that day special," he replied seriously.

 

I just sighed and simply smiled at him. Despite the goodness and love he showed, my fear still hasn't disappeared. I'm afraid that one day the nightmare that happened in the past will happen again. Maybe the betrayal will happen again which my former Alpha did.

Suddenly that nightmare came to my mind and I need to fight this feeling because I need to forget everything. I want to start new with Alpha Diego and I can't do that when I keep going back to the bad things that happened to me at Harvard.

"Hey, what's wrong? What are you thinking?" he asked.

"Nothing, Alpha. I just realize how lucky I am to have met you," I lied.

But at that time something else was really bothering my mind. I still can't help but think about the incident in the past.

"Trust me, Riana" he said seriously while staring into my eyes.

I couldn't stop myself from hugging him tightly. I tried to stop my tears from falling during those times. I don't want to think about things that will hurt my feelings. I want to reset my life again even though I know it won't be easy for me.

Days passed by , the most awaited by everyone has arrived. This is the day I accept the throne as Luna of the Bloody Stone.

I was already in front of the crowd and slowly walking towards the man I chose to be Alpha for the second time.

He was really handsome in what he was wearing but I was surprised at what I saw and stop walking when our eyes met.
