LAURA's POV

Meeting Antonio

Five days had passed, and still, the Alpha of the Celestial Pack hadn’t returned. I couldn’t shake the feeling of unease that had settled deep in my chest. Each day that went by made me restless and more anxious. I needed his support—I needed his help to find out who had killed my parents. He was the only one to help,me and now he was missing.

Sitting by the window, I stared out into the darkening sky, my thoughts swirling in every direction. The more I thought about my parents, the angrier I became. Their deaths were shrouded in mystery, but I was determined to uncover the truth, no matter how many obstacles stood in my way.

Just as I was sinking deeper into my thoughts, there was a soft knock on the door. I turned, startled. It was one of the palace maids.

"Miss Laura," she said in a hushed voice, holding out a folded letter. "This was left for you."
