The Lycan Minister Death scene

The ride to the death scene was tense. Charles and I pushed our horses hard, covering the ground in just under thirty minutes. My mind was heavy with thoughts, trying to make sense of everything. The Lycan Minister was dead, and something about it didn’t sit right with me.

When we finally arrived at the location, I dismounted and surveyed the scene. It was worse than I imagined. The area looked like a battlefield—deep craters, singed trees, the acrid smell of gunpowder still hanging in the air. It wasn’t an ordinary attack. Cannons. The rogues had used cannons, and that told me one thing: they’d come prepared, very prepared. This wasn’t some random skirmish; this was an organized assault.

“Cannons…” I muttered under my breath as I walked closer to the scene of destruction.

Charles caught up with me, his eyes narrowing as he surveyed the area. “How did rogues get their hands on cannons? Someone supplied them.”

I nodded, scanning the ground.
