Chapter Forty Nine

Williams POV

I turned around to see someone I wasn’t expecting to see.

“Where is she?” I asked not to waste any time.

“She is unavailable at the moment and would be unavailable for a while.” Mason replied with a grin on his face making me take two steps backwards.

“If you think you can harm me just because we are alone here you-.“ Before I could complete my sentence, I suddenly felt a pinch on my neck and I passed out.

Mason's POV

“He talks too much. Doesn’t he, Mabel?”

Mabel got out of the car without any fear in her eyes. I noticed her movements didn’t seem to be fake or forced. Instead she held a look that said she already knew this was going to happen.

“Yes, he does.” She replied before going to check his pulse. Her shoulders seem to relax further seeing he was still alive and breathing just fine.

“What? You thought I was going to end his already miserable life? It makes me sad that I hold such a low position in your heart, Mabel.”

“You speak to me with such familiarity. It makes
