When we arrived home, Mr. Anderson parked the car in the garage. Mom and Elizabeth helped conveyed my luggage into my old room which was looking amazing. It had been cleaned and perfectly set for me.
One amazing thing is that I could perceive the fragrance of my favourite perfume, which means someone must have bought the same type and spread it around the room for me.
Even though some of my things that I left in the room were no where to be found, I was glad to have their replacements. My bed had been replaced too, same also my bedside tables and closet. My curtains were replaced as well.
"Do you like your new room?" Elizabeth had asked, pulling me out of my trance.
"New room? This ain't new" I had muttered, walking towards my bed.
"Yes but at least it looks new, right mom?" she had turned over to our mom.
"Elizabeth please, allow poor Nichol to rest. He's tired, can't you see how exhausted he looks"
While in the dining room eating dinner, Mr. Anderson asked if I was going to stay there for long and I told him I would be staying for three days or four. But guess what? As expected, my mom extended the days to six. Elizabeth was happy, and even before we could finish the dinner she had started asking me to go out and stroll around the neighborhood with her. And to also go to the nearby park, as well as the zoo across it. As if that wasn't enough, she was asking for more other things as well. I only nodded my head as though I agreed but deep down I knew some of the things she was asking would not be possible the fact that I would not be having time for all that. A lot had changed ever since I took over my father's company. I used to be very close to her in the past, going places with her and doing a lot of things together but now that I had a lot of responsibility on my shoulders... whatever we did in the past I guess it could not be done n
Mr. Anderson wanted to take Elizabeth to school but I insisted on doing that. Actually, I had the intention of going around after dropping her at school so I could check on my friends and other fellas. I hoped to also meet Mr. Leon along the way. I watched as Elizabeth hugged our mom, and then Mr. Anderson before biding them goodbye. She was agile, she couldn't even wait for any of them to peck her properly. By the way, it wasn't as if she was late. It was an hour to her lecture, which means there was still time. "Please drive carefully, Nichol" mom had told me. "Sure mom, I will" I had nodded in acknowledgement and then left. Just as Elizabeth and I were finally in the car, I ignited the engine into action and off we went... to her school. It wasn't that far from our neighborhood. As soon as I dropped her off, she bade me goodbye and ran into the school while I watched her with a smile plastered on my face.
Saturdays used to be resting days for me at Vincity, and that made me got used to oversleeping in the morning and laterally doing nothing during the day. However, returning back to my hometown at Vinewood made me recalled old days when we used to go to the farm on Saturdays. The farm was actually mom's before she handed it over to Mr. Anderson. After breakfast, Elizabeth and I went to our respective rooms to prepare ourselves for the farm while mom and Mr. Anderson went to their room as well. Mom wouldn't be coming, however she needed to get her husband ready. I loved my cowboy outfit so I wore them. I also put on my boot and hat. "Aha!" I had said to myself after staring at my reflection in the mirror for like a minute or so. Then I unplugged my phone from the sucket and slipped it into my right hand-side pocket before leaving my room. Thus I met Elizabeth downstairs, also wearing her cowgirl outfits. She giggled and soon as s
After spending a week in Vinewood, it was finally time for me to return back to Vincity. Mom actually wanted me to spend more time with them but I had told her my company really needs me. By the way, I could bring myself to telling her about Lena due to what Mr. Leon told me. He was actually right about everything he said. I needed to investigate Stella's case myself, I didn't want to continue living blindly with Lena. It might be that Lena played me and it might be that she was telling the truth about Stella. But whatever might possibly be the case, I should investigate the matter. If I found Lena guilty of playing me then I would not only fire her from my company, but also have her arrested. I wouldn't care who her parents were, though I didn't dream or wish for things to escalate to that stage. I mean, I liked Lena and I loved her body a lot. She had good structure, package, and she was good at romance. I wouldn't wish to loose her but I
Just a day after returning back home, I decided to began investing into Stella's case. What I first had in mind was to go through Lena's phone and check her last conversation with Stella, that's if she did not erase them. If it was erased, I would have no other option but to go for the second plan. But if I was able to see their last conversation, then I might just end up with clues about whatever Lena told me. Their last conversation matters, you know? The second plan was to try and establish connection with Stella, so I could ask her about it myself. But that wouldn't be easy the fact that she had moved on already, and judging from what I heard people saying she was already in love with someone else. You know, some of the staff were partially close to her. She was a good leader to them and they loved her too. Although I believed, no matter the love she had for that person she would never love him the way she loved him and I was very sure it woul
The following day I woke up so late. Hopefully, Lena had woke up and had even prepared breakfast already. She placed a tray of coffee and some cookies for me on a table close to the bed. I heaved a sigh as I gently adjusted into a sitting position and took a sip from the coffee. Creamy as usual, I gulped and began eating the cookies. Just then she walked in with only a towel wrapped around her body and told me we were late. "I know" I had said while eating. "Then hurry up!" she had commanded. "I don't need to hurry up, by the way it's my company. I can even decide not to go today, nobody would question me" I had proudly said. "I would question you" she had sarcastically uttered. "Well then, suit yourself" I had said while smiling evilly. After eating, I went to the bathroom to take a bath. Lena however was in the closet getting herself dressed. While showering, the thought
When Raymond finally arrived at my office, he looked scared. We greeted, after which I told him not to worry about anything and that I only needed to ask him some questions. "Okay sir" he had nodded gently in acknowledgement. "Good, sit please" I had offered him one of the visitors' swivel chairs facing me. "Thank you sir" he had sluggishly obeyed. "Good. So, have you heard from Stella?" I had politely asked him. "Stella?" he had wrinkled his brows. "Yes, her!" I had muttered. "Actually, sir, I haven't been in touch with her for some time now but the last time we talked she seemed to be fine" he had said. "Oh, but..." I had cleared my throat and continued, "do you really think she hates me?" I had absentmindedly asked. "Hate? No, I mean... I don't really know but to be sincere she had never really said anything bad about you to me. The only thing she had told me wa
As soon as Kelly and I arrived at the Mayor's residence, we were asked to wait outside his office. And while waiting, I couldn't think positively about the situation except negatively. What if we had published something they didn't like? I wasn't even able to go through today's publication the fact that I was very busy, and now we might just end up being arrested and taken to jail. Or perhaps he might just ask us to shut down our company, until further notice. You know how all those politicians could be, arrogant as well as extreme. Anything against their taste would be suppressed or eliminated. Kelly pulled me out of my trance by asking if I was okay, to which I had answered him with "Yes!" "Oh, I thought you were... you know, busy in your thoughts. I actually called you thrice but couldn't get your attention" he had explained. "Sorry, I guess I wasn't paying attention. It does happen at times, especially when yo
Years later... People used to say if you love something, never give up on that thing. Well I didn't believe in that adage until I finally met Nicholas. And now being his wife made me realized how TRUE love can be, and how victorious patience can make one be. Nicholas and I got married a year ago and we had just given birth to twins, a girl and a boy. It was a dream come true and I couldn't even express how happy I was. Nicholas was so happy too, same also his mom, my mom, Mr. Anderson, Elizabeth, officer Mike, and even Kelly who was Nicholas best man during our wedding. A lot had happened in the past years I would like you to know. First about Lena. She was released by the CAI and was returned back to the police after so much intervention by many freedom fighters and human right groups who sympathized her parents. The CAI had found her guilty of sponsoring some of the most wanted thugs in the continent to ubdertake certain acts of cr
Few days after finding out the truth that Mr. Anderson was indeed my biological father, I had not been able to think straightforward about my relationship with Nicholas. Mr. Anderson had also been touched by the sudden discovery, he had not been as vibrant as he used to be. That day he told me the reason why he left my mom and that he was so sorry. He told me he left my mom because their relationship was going as planned. They used to have problems and would debate over almost everything every blessed day. Hence he decided to move on with his life. "I am so sorry, I know what I did was a reason but now I feel like I shouldn't have done that" he had added, sobbing quietly. He then asked for my mother's pictures to which I showed him. He sobbed even more after seeing her picture, hating himself for all that he did and for abandoning us. He said he learned how to stay in a relationship for better or worst after marrying Nicholas's mom.
The following day, just as mom left for work I called Nicholas to come and pick me up. And when he came, I decided to show him the pictures of my dad. They were placed in places he had never stepped his foot on in our house. Actually, I just wanted him to justify whether my dad was the Mr. Anderson fathering his younger sister. Fortunately, when he sees the pictures he was shocked. He told me even though the pictures looked younger than Mr. Anderson, he believed there was resemblance. Thus, he pulled out his phone from his pocket and snapped the pictures saying he would show them to Mr. Anderson as soon as we arrived at their house in Vinewood. Then he helped me pack three of my luggage to his car as quick as we could and left. But before we left, I had left a note for my mom to come and on the center table, telling her I would be going far away from everyone and I wouldn't be back until she agrees to reconsider my relationship with Nicholas
Few weeks after the incident that occurred between me and Nicholas, I decided to start talking to my mom about our relationship. At first I told her Nicholas had been trying to reconcile with me but then she told me to shun him away. When I told her the second time she told me to be very careful with him and to not end up overthinking over him. She also advised me to consider Steven, reminding me of his countless sacrifices and devotion to me. Anyways today I decided to tell her that I had fallen for him again, and if she told me to stay away from him and consider Steven I would tell her my relationship with Steven is better off the way it is now. Brotherly stroke sisterly. Nothing more and nothing less. While gently walking to her room with the help of a staff, I walked past one of the pictures of my dad to which I once again found it resembling Mr. Anderson. Something told me it was the same person but I just couldn't believe it because I believed my dad wa
While on our way to the airport, Nicholas called Captain Omar and told him to prepare our flight. The way he talked, you would assume he was in a fight with someone. I understood his pain but it was for the greater good. When I finally convinced my mom to consider our relationship again, I could spend weeks with him in his parents' house. Elizabeth thought we were going to the public airport but when she saw Nicholas driving us to a remote area she asked where we were heading to, "I thought we are going to the main airport?" she added. "No, I brought a plane. We are going to an abandoned airstrip, that's where our plane is" he said increasing the speed of the car. "Wow big bro, I never knew you have a plane?" she sarcastically uttered. "No, it's not mine" he robotically replied her. "Your friend's?" she asked. "No, hired!" he said and then urged her to allow him to focus on the road bec
While in the dining room, Nicholas looked worried. He must be thinking thoroughly about what I recently told him. It would really be better if he returned me back home to avoid making this worst or more complicated for himself and somehow, for me as well. I had promised him that if he returned me back, I would not disclose what happened to anybody and I would try my best to convince my mom into considering our relationship again. Even though that wouldn't be easy, but I would try my utmost best to see that it happens. His mother asked if I loved it in there house and I smiled at her while eating the vegetables in my plate, I didn't even know what to say to her. Of course they had a wonderful house and I would have loved it if I was on an official visit. But sadly, I was forced and brought there. It wasn't even as if my mom knew I was there, and what made me more uncomfortable in the house was that I was so concerned about my mom's condition.
When it was time for dinner, Nicholas came to summon us from the workout room. He saw Elizabeth smiling thus, he asked her why she was smiling. As if that wasn't enough of a pestering, he was trying to snatch away the photo album in her hands. She quickly pulled herself away from his reach and pouted at him before leaving. She was really funny, and also playful. Nicholas's smiles disappeared as she left, thus he looked at me with a very sad look and asked if I had at least thought a little about what he told me already. He was really wanting me to return back to his life as if that would be easy. I heaved a sigh and told him I would make that decision with my mom when I returned back home. Instead of him to understand my point, he became more sad and told me if he loose me again then he would loose himself. He would also never forgive himself. He then grabbed the handle of my wheelchair and began wheeling me out of the workout room. He wasn't really happy, up
In the evening before being called to eat lunch, I was with Elizabeth in the workout room. She was really a nice girl judging from how friendly she was. She told me stories about her life and how both she and Nicholas would play around the streets with some of the kids from their neighborhood. She was fifteen years old, about clocking sixteen. And she resembled Nicholas, though not much. She was more like her father than her mother, and since they weren't sharing the same biological father their resembles wasn't that much. She showed me some of her old pictures from their family album, she was really cute even when she was a child. One funny thing was that she looked like me when I was a child too. The resemblance was clear and vivid, thereby prompting me to remember the fact that we were obviously sharing the same father even though I wasn't really sure about it yet. I decided to ask her about her father and that if he had ever told her abo
When Nicholas kidnapped me to his hometown in Vinewood, I was so angry. But when I met his stepfather, I became overly confused. It was something I never expected and to be honest, I nearly passed out.First of all our plane landed safely at a remote airport. Then Nicholas called an uber to come and pick us up. He convinced me to not scream or attempt calling for help and I obeyed. Not because I was scared but because he promised to return me back home safely if I cooperate with him. And that was why I behaved and remained silent as told.Upon arriving at their house, we were humbly welcomed in by his mom and then stepsister whom he once told me her name was Elizabeth. She was really cute, and his mom was beautiful as well.We were then walked to the dining table and served lunch. Nicholas then asked where is stepfather was, and his mom told him the man just went inside to plug his phone on charger. He used to call the man Mr. Ande
