GEORGE KATZ POV
"What do you mean by a scandal with my employee?" I flared up, springing up to my feet, as I reacted to the news I had just received from my assistant James, who stood there shaking like a leaf, James walked over, taking deliberate steps towards me. He showed his tablet to me, whose face fell after I had seen the news. "Heir to the Katz family business: a night with his tea girl," it read, with my photo visible on the front page, while the lady's photo was carefully covered, My fists clenched upon seeing it. My first impression was that Paris had masterminded it, I couldn't comprehend why her photo was deliberately masked, while James was busy swiping through the other news channels, "He claims to be disciplined but is f***ing his tea girl." Another news read, making my clenched fist shake uncontrollably," as I stood there following his lead, "Is this love, or are they using each other? Katz George is the wealthy man." Another one read at that moment I couldn't take it anymore, "That stupid slut!" I cursed with my teeth gritted, feeling the weight of what she had done crashing down on me, I turned towards James whose agitation was felt and inquired, "What is the rank of this news?" Almost immediately, his response came in a shaky tone, "in the first place in the three of the top news stations and the second place in blog sites." His head was bowed, he was avoiding my gaze Upon hearing his response, I threw my fist in the nearest direction I could find, which landed heavily on my desk, making James' head snap up immediately, staring at me with his mouth wide open, Wanting to know if the other side had gotten Paris's photo I Inquired, "What's top 1 on the blog?" Sending James back to work immediately, tapped his tablet for some seconds then looked down. His reaction was like fuel to a burning flame, my desperate need for an answer made me charge toward him, "James, speak!" I ordered I was soon thinking of losing my temper, throwing his tablet onto the couch, he opened his laptop and started typing frantically, which made me exhale in exasperation, As I waited almost impatiently for James' response, a lady rushed in, from the expression on her face, I could tell it was something serious, "President George, your... your mother is here." She said, trying to catch her breath, I nodded at her and waved her off, I drew in a quick breath to still my heart and prepare myself for what was coming, fully aware that it wasn't going to go well, Soon, a lady with grey hair dressed in silk walked in, taking short strides. She waved her hand above her head, and everyone left. "Son, have you seen the headlines?" Her voice was soft as she spoke, but carried enough power to make one shiver, she walked over to my seat and crossed her legs at the ankle settling comfortably on it, while I turned around to face her, "Mom, it's not what you think, she drugged me," I replied my hands outstretched in a gesture, while she shook her head, Upon seeing her reactions, I knew too well to listen and stop talking, gaining my attention, she opened her mouth to speak, "I want to see her," her voice though soft, carried an unmistakable note of authority in it, I knew instantly that it was nonnegotiable, I placed both hands on the table and bowed my head, for fear of what she meant by that, deep within me, I prayed it wasn't what I was thinking but her words came again, snapping me off my thoughts, "You fired her, didn't you?" She said, more like a statement than a question, while I stood there helplessly lost for what to say, Upon seeing my reaction, Mrs. Katz got up, her displeasure evident in her tone as she spoke, "I didn't raise you to be a man who disposes of women the way he pleases," she said, her voice firm and unwavering as she continued, "You said she drugged you, but your face is filled with guilt, which shows that you're deliberately covering the truth, and now you've decided to fire her to bury the truth right?" Knowing how she could get, I looked up but didn't say a word, I knew she wasn't going to believe me, of course not after I had fired her, but her words came again, filling me with shock, "Bring her home for dinner tomorrow and get rid of this mess; it's destroying our image," she said, with a touch of finality in her tone as she spoke, I wanted to protest, but I knew it would be of no use, without waiting for my response, she grabbed her bag and walked out of my office, completely exhausted from all that had happened, I sunk into my chair and rubbed my head, as I attempted to look for a solution to the mess, But as I tried to process my thoughts, James' words came, snapping me off my thoughts, I looked up Immediately, surprised about how he had walked in without my knowledge of it, "Sir, you have a meeting in ten minutes," He said, standing much away from me, "Delay it for an additional twenty minutes," I said, while James nodded his head and was about to leave when I called him back, "Yes Boss?" he answered without walking any closer, "If I were to call you again concerning this, the consequences won't be funny," I warned, pointing at the documents on my desk, while James rushed over and started arranging the files on my desk, "James," I called, "Yes Boss," He replied, immediately, his fear evident on his face as he stared, "I want you to visit Miss Paris and tell her that her attention is needed here," I responded while he stared in for a while, "Did you not hear me?" I Inquired, my tone rising above the pitch, "I did Bo..." He responded, "Then what are you waiting for? Get going right now." I commanded, while he bowed and turned to leave, but then stopped after he had taken the second step and turned back to face me, "Boss sorry to say, but won't it be risky bringing her over here?" He said, pointing towards the floor, which served as a reminder concerning what had happened, With my eyes fixated on a particular point in space, I said, "I want her to suffer the same embarrassment I had faced from Mother." My eyes reddened as I spoke. James swallowed a non-existent lump from his throat and said, "Okay, Sir," and without waiting for another second, walked out of the office, LONDON'S POV, Contented with what I had just done, I arrived home to find Paris in the living room, staring into space, the sight of which broke me, but then I decided to cheer her up a little, "Baby, I'm back," I announced as I jumped onto the couch where she was seated and placed both legs on the side table, I curled my hands around her neck in an attempt to shake her off her mood, but she didn't respond, she glanced at me instead and without saying a word fixated her gaze on the ceiling, But I wasn't going to let her continue in her mood, "I need a thank you," I demanded casually, another attempt to get her to say something, but Paris remained quiet which sent me partly into thought, Just then, a broad smile curved my face at the thought that came to my mind, I had found the perfect idea to get her to say something, I turned towards her and unwrapped my hands from her neck, with a smile playing on my face, I said, "Miss Elorod, you are fired." Giggling sheepishly at her. Just like I had expected, she turned sharply at me upon hearing my words, "What?" She said, obviously sad about what she had just heard, her gaze fell as she continued, "I knew he would do a thing like that, after all that I had done for him," She said, Suddenly, she stopped and faced me, "What do I tell Frank?" She inquired, her fear evident in her eyes as she stared at me, "Well..." I shrugged, "I don't like that boyfriend of yours, so I don't care what happens between both of you," I responded, Upon hearing my words, she buried her head in her palm and began to sob, the sight of which broke me, I placed my hand on her back and patted her, "Paris!" I called as gently as I could, "I won't advise you to tell him the truth, you can keep it to yourself if you want to," I advised, while she turned towards me and leaned into my embrace, as the sound of her sob grew louder. "It's going to be okay," I said, as I patted her head, while we both sat there, the sound of her sob gradually fading away, As the silence that had fallen upon us stretched on, the door to the living room suddenly swung open, revealing our father, whose expression conveyed the anger in his heart as he walked towards us, making us spring to our feet immediately, "What's the meaning of this? How could you be so cheap?" Our father said, his anger palpable as he advanced toward us, he stood a few feet away from Paris and raised his hand to hit her, but I got in between, stretching my hands to shield her from him, "See?...." he turned and faced our mother who had rushed out of the room upon hearing his words and glared at her, "Is this it? Is this what you've been teaching my children? He roared, his expression conveying the anger in his heart as he walked towards our mother, who was already shaking from fear, "Just because I'm busy providing for this family, you've forgotten your role as a woman and have made my children turn against me, huh?" He added and wanted to grab her when a little boy ran to him, standing right in between them, his hands outstretched in an attempt to shield our mother from him, "Stay away from mommy," He said, and then tried to push him away, but his strength was no match for his father. "Alfred!" Paris, whose tears flowed freely called him, she rushed over to him, and dragged him away from in-between our father and mother, while my father was fully invested in his business of hitting our mother, "Paris? Why is Daddy hitting Mommy?" He cried panicking as he questioned, even though that had been a normal occurrence in our home, Paris was about to open her mouth when Mr. Elorod spoke, "Your sister had decided to sell her body and disgrace us all, and your stupid mother has done nothing to stop it." He had said, little Alfred who couldn't comprehend what my father had just said, cried louder instead, while Paris consoled him, I closed my ears as the noise grew louder, it felt like I was going to go mad, I knew I couldn't take it anymore, I knew it was high time I spoke up to my father who had never ceased to beat my mother, fuelled by the determination that coursed through me, I shouted at the top of my voice, "Enough!" I felt my heart racing from fear of his reaction, but I had come too far to stop, I knew I had to face it, no matter what, As I opened my mouth to speak, the knock on the door, caught everyone's attention, after rattling for a while, strolled to the door and was surprised to see the man I had seen earlier at the office, "What are you here for?" I questioned as I opened the door slightly, blocking it enough to avoid him entering the house, which he understood, "You," James who had found my question silly said, "What is it about?" I Inquired, with my hand firmly on the doorknob, Upon hearing my face, his expression went blank, suddenly, he shook his head for a while with his hands resting on his waist, before turning to face me again, "Mr. George demands your presence in the office," He announced, his eyes wide open, an expression of disbelief in his heart, "Why the sudden change of heart?" Was the first thought that came to my mind, but then I recalled that Paris would not ask a question like that, "Why's he looking for me? He already fired me." My soft voice made the man chuckle a little, which sound spoke of the disbelieve in his heart, "Well... Something interesting came up, and your attention is needed right now," James explained, holding his tab with one hand while pushing his glasses up with the other. I scanned the man and shrugged; he looked genuine. "Okay, please give me some minutes to change. I'm sweaty." I said and without waiting for his response shut the door behind me, A few minutes later, the door opened and a voice said, "Mr. James, let's go."PARIS'S POV I got out of the car, feeling a sense of familiarity swept over me. Holding the lower part of my skirt firmly as my heart beat loudly in my chest, I drew in a quick breath in an attempt to stop the fear that had gripped my heart, As I attempted to still myself in preparation for the unavoidable meeting with the almighty Katz family, James words came, urging me forward even though I wasn't ready, "This way, Miss Elorod," James said, gesturing with his hands as he led the way through the VIP section of the walkway. I didn't know what to think of it, I felt mixed emotions of being honored and at the same time awkward, I doubled my step to keep up with James' pace as he led the way through the area usually reserved for George, As we walked on, I couldn't comprehend what that meant even though I tried to wrap my head around it, I couldn't comprehend why James would do a thing like that, and at the same time, I was frightened by being caught walking that path by George, imm
LONDON'S POVA flashy-looking car pulled up in in front of our house, while I watched them from my window, thinking about who it might be, the car came to a halt and an elegant-looking woman stepped out making my eyes bulge in surprise, there was no mistaking who she was, since I had seen her once, when I took cover for my sister at the company,She rubbed her nose and stared at the environment, even though I couldn't see her clearly, but the expression I had seen on her face was undeniable,"Lead the way," I presumed she had said to the man that came out of the driver's seat, gesturing with her hand as she spoke, but the scowl on her face never left. The driver, carrying a wrapped basket, walked towards our gate which was without a lock, and then after a few seconds I heard a knock on the door, which made me run out of my room towards the stair, but I stopped just before the edge of the wall that led to the staircase, which was a perfect cover I needed to listen to their conversation.
LONDON'S POV A FEW DAYS LATER. "London!" "London!!" My mother tapped me, waking me from my sleep, "Have you seen Paris?" She questioned, with her hands resting on my shoulders as she searched my face, from the urgency in her voice I could tell that something was wrong,"No mom," I responded drowsily as I tried to focus, suddenly the words hit me and my eyes popped open "Huh! Paris?" I Inquired, my voice rising from the words that had hit me,She got up upon hearing my words, fidgeting as she bit her finger, while I stared at her, waiting impatiently,"Paris is missing!" The words rushed out of my mother's mouth in a tone matching mine, she paced to and fro, her fear palpable as she spoke,I jumped out of bed immediately after I heard the news and walked toward her, "Mother, how do you mean?" I questioned, searching her face but my mother didn't respond, "That's a prank, right?" I said as I searched her face for any hint of deceit in it, but my mother ignored me, and continued i
London's POV, I sat there, feeling numb and exhausted, eager for the wedding reception to be over. I hadn't seen George since he'd disappeared, and Alfred's news of Paris's return only made me more anxious.I was eager to see Paris and give her a piece of my mind for not showing up on time for her wedding. But something about the way Alfred had looked at me with tears in his eyes, had left me feeling uneasy about Paris's return. He had rushed off without telling me more when he saw George's mom approaching, and I couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong but I quickly remembered that we had to keep up the charade of me being Paris. The last thing we needed was for anyone to find out the truth."Where's my son?" George's mother asked as she approached me."I don't know," I said, trying to sound calm. "I haven't seen him.""You look stressed," she said, her voice full of concern. "Why don't you go inside and rest? I'll take care of the guests."I nodded, relieved to have an e
London's POV, As I walked back into the wedding reception, my eyes were still red and swollen from crying. But I knew I had to put on a brave face, for everyone's sake. I had to continue the charade and pretend to be Paris, even though it was the last thing I wanted to do. I wanted to mourn my sister's death, to grieve and process everything that had happened. But I couldn't, not yet. I had to stay strong for her.I tried to put on a happy face to look like everything was normal. But inside, I was falling apart. I felt like a fraud.... like I was somehow betraying my sister by continuing to pretend to be her instead of mourning her. But I had no choice. As I walked through the crowd, I could feel the eyes of the guests on me. They were curious, wondering why I had been away for so long. But I just smiled and kept walking, not wanting to engage with anyone. I felt like I was in a trance, moving through the room without really seeing anything."Paris, you look exhausted," George's mot
George's PovThe look of shock and betrayal on Paris's face as she walked in on me and Charlotte was oddly empowering. I had always been clear that our marriage was one of convenience, a way to keep up appearances and save face for the family. I felt a sick sense of satisfaction at the pain I was causing her. "What if she decides to tell your mother about Charlotte?" James asked, his voice full of concern as we walked back to the reception hall. "You know what that would mean for you."I scoffed, refusing to entertain the idea. "She would never do that," I said, my voice full of confidence. "She knows what's at stake."James looked doubtful, but he didn't press the issue. "If you say so, sir," he said, his tone deferential. "But I have to warn you that things could get very messy if she does decide to speak up.""She will do no such thing. If not for your incompetence, we wouldn't have had such at first," I said. "I'm sorry, sir," he said, his voice trembling. "Whatever it takes to
London's POVThe wedding day was pure torture, and having to interact with George and his family was like walking through a minefield. I was relieved when it was finally over, and I could retreat to the sanctuary of my room. I sank onto the bed, feeling drained and exhausted. It had been one of the worst days of my life, and I wasn't sure how much more I could take.As I thought about Paris, my sister, who had been brutally murdered, I couldn't hold back the tears that began to flow. How could this have happened? Who could have done this to her? The image of her lifeless body flashed before my eyes, and I struggled to make sense of it all. The face of the corpse was so disfigured that I couldn't be sure it was her, but deep down, I knew the truth. My sister was gone, and I would never see her again. The grief and sadness welled up inside me, and I felt like I was drowning in an ocean of despair as I sobbed loudly. Paris had been my best friend, my confidant, and my twin. We had share
Rosa's Katz PovThe satisfaction I felt in watching my plans come to fruition was immeasurable. It had been a long and difficult road since my husband's death, but I had taken up the mantle of leadership with determination and strength. As I sat at the head of the table, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement as I plotted my next move. My stepdaughter-in-law, Paris, was a relatively new member of the family, and I knew she would be easy to manipulate. She was young and naive, and I knew that I could use that to my advantage. I had chosen her over Charlotte because I knew Charlotte would be a thorn in my side. She was strong-willed and independent, and I knew she would never fall in line the way I wanted her to. But Paris was different. She would be eager to please and eager to be accepted by the family. I knew that with the right amount of pressure and persuasion, I could get her to do whatever I wanted. And if she didn't comply, I knew I could use her weakness against her.
LONDON'S POV,After one whole week of intense blockbuster, everything had quieted, my mom had successfully divorced my father and was back in our own cozy home. That evening my mom had invited I and my husband George for a dinner to celebrate our victory and hers as well,As we gathered around the table with my younger brother Alfred, who was now back in the state, the dining room was filled with lively laughter and beautiful conversation.Just when we were about to get busy with our meal, the doorbell rang, making me snap my head Immediately, I turned towards my mother and asked, "are you expecting anybody?" Which she shook her head in response,I stood up immediately to answer the door and as soon as I opened it, my heart skipped, "Pa... Paris?" Her name came out of my mouth in a stutter, while my mother and George with Alfred, rushed over to the door, and almost immediately, we were both locked in each other's embrace, weeping as we held each other tightly."Paris! I've always kno

The text read making my brows crest in surprise, My mind began to travel as to who the person was, I tried to wrap my head around who it could be but to no avail,Finally, unable to resist the text allure, my curiosity propelled me towardd Dowell's motel, since everything within me wanted to find out about what information the unidentified person was talking about,I got to the garden to find it deserted making my brows to crest, almost immediately, my phone began to ring, interrupting my chains of thought, I checked and it was Oliver,"Where are you?" GEORGE'S POVMy steps hastened by the shocking words I had just heard, towards Paris who stood there without saying a word, I stood beside her with my attention turned towards Sophia and my brows furrowed by what I had just heard,l."That evil wife of yours is not the saint you think she is, she killed her twin sister Paris to take her place of becoming your wife." She spewed, causing my eyebrows to shoot up in shock,Her words took me by surprise, neither did I know that the wife I had been living with for more than a year now was a twin,I looked at Paris and her guilty expression confirmed Sophia's words, Paris' gaze were fixated downward and her eyes wide with a mix of fear and guilt.Just then, my mind began to spin as a lot of thought swirled in my head, then I heard my mother's words from beside me,"I knew it!" She said, "I knew there must be something more to that pretty face of hers." She added, which were like fuel to the fury that was beginning to burn within me, and as I
LONDON'S POV"Mother!" I called, Immediately I stepped into the room the next morning, I was filled with a sudden sense of gladness which replaced the anxiety that I had been plagued with,My smile broadened, energized by the fact that my mother was getting better, I walked up to her and sat beside her, sharing in the obvious happiness she was feeling,"Have you been well my child?" She questioned warmly, her face a mask of contentment as she spoke, and as I stared at her, I needed no one to tell me that she was back to her usual self,"Yes mother," I replied, even though I wanted to talk to her about what had become my fate, I didn't want to ruin the genuine happiness and peace that emanated from my mother,I nodded repeatedly in response, as I forced a broad smile to my face as I attempted to mask my sorrow, "yes mother!" I replied, my smile masking my insincerity as I stared at her,But my mother wasn't fooled, as she stared bat me, I saw the questions in her eyes even though she d
AVA EDISON'S POVAs I sat there in the living room, the image of that guy in news caught my attention, I was certain I had seen him before, the memories of him kept flashing in my head, and as I tried to wrap my head around where I had seen him, my eyes popped open,It was him, he was the one who ordered the guys that had kidnapped me to end my life, I was certain beyond doubt that he was the same person,As I watched them hurry out of the conference hall, my blood began to boil, as anger overwhelmed me, right then it began to make sense to me as I realized that Charlotte was indeed George's girlfriend as at then,Just then it occured to me that it was Charlotte all along, I needed no one to tell me that Charlotte was the one behind my misfortune,As I sat there coming to terms with what I had just discovered, I heard the doorbell rang,"Who's it?" I questioned as I walked over to the door,I opened it and saw Sophia standing right in front of our house,"What? You ain't going to let
LONDON'S POVMy eyes were fixated on Charlotte as we approach the podium, her face was as red as a cranberry, to my greatest surprise I saw fear written all over her features, which had suddenly replaced the fierce anger that had been blazing in her eyes, but I quickly pushed it aside, as I thought it might be my misinterpretation of her emotions.Even though George had brought me along, I couldn't deny the fact that I was a little bit scared, since I wasn't sure about what George was up to, As far as I knew, they still maintained their relationship even after we got married, the fact that George had brought the Doctors along, made my heart jumpy, As the distance between us dwindled, my mind began to swirl with a lot of possibilities, I couldn't shake off the thought that lurked deep within my heart, What if she was truly pregnant? I kept questioning myself, even though I knew I had to trust George. We got to the podium and I saw Charlotte's fingers tightly cleaved unto the hem of
CHARLOTTE'S POV"Have you gotten the information I asked?" I questioned Gerald who had met me at the garage,I had called him in not just to request for the information I needed but also because I was feeling s little uncertain which had filled me with a great sense of uneasiness, I couldn't just shake off the feelings that tugged unto the corner of my heart, even though I couldn't place it, I knew something was off,But as those feelings lingered, it dawned on me that I was getting uneasy because of the false news I was about to release, I quickly shoved it off, since I had decided to ruin George's life same way he had abandoned me,"You can trust me on that," Gerald responded in a firm and unwavering voice, with a smirk clearly on his face an expression of the contentment in his heart, as he dwelled in the satisfaction of his job well done, His words were like fuel to my burning desires as it energized me to push through with my plot after I was done with George,He handed me the
GEORGE'S POVMy head snapped up immediately, following the crashing of the door against the other side of the wall,There was Paris, running towards me, making my heart skip, seeing her tear stained face filled me with a great sense of fear, I sprang up to my feet Immediately, with my eyes wide open from the fear that had gripped my heart,My feet instinctively carried me towards her with my arms wide open, which she ran into, collapsing right into my embrace, her body shuddering as she snugged into me,Before I could say a word to her, the sound of her cry reached my ears, sobbing uncontrollably in my arms, the sound of which spoke of how badly hurt she was, her tears soaked into my shirt, piercing even to my soul,I held her tight, unsure of what to make out from it, but her arms around me were tighter, as she clung unto me like her healing balm,That was actually the second time I had seen her crying, she was so broken and vulnerable, I felt the need to protect her, I knew that wha
