The VIP hall was humming with loud music. Anger was boiling in her veins. His hand snaked on her bare waist. She fisted her hands as she wanted to claw on it, dug her nails on his skin and drew blood. She wanted to rip his hand apart. He dug his hard fingers in her soft flesh. She flashed her best smile and dug her nails in the back of his hand.
She saw a wave of anger on his face which was immediately replaced by an evil smirk. He yanked her to his side and curled his hand around her firmly. She perceived pain and shot him with her deadly glare.
The door kicked open of the VIP room. Her breaths caught in her throat as she felt his power.
Two dark bulky bodyguards scanned the room and stepped in. They stood on both sides of the opened door.
Time seemed to grind to a stop around her. Every person present in the hall gasped and looked at him with wide eyes.
Her gaze froze on him. Mostly, there was only terror on everyone's faces. The air in the hall was intense and brooding.
His cold icy grey gaze rested on her, scanning her from head to toe. He wasn't looking at anyone, but her. She felt the miscreant bastard's grip losing.
She was looking at him too. He was so tall, taller than everyone. He dwarfed his bodyguards in height. He must be six feet one inch tall.
Her heart seemed to stop seeing his dark and handsome personality. She imagined his muscles beneath his dark tailored suit. His face was emotionless. There was a strange kind of aura that demanded attention and compelled everyone to bow to him.
Indeed, the handsome word did not seem fair to describe him. The girls moved toward him, leaving their men behind. But his bodyguards blocked their ways, " I don't wanna throw you out, babies. Why don't you enjoy the view from a distance? " The second man said. He was also dressed up like Mr dangerous Handsome, and one inch shorter than him but with the same dark hair and icy grey eyes. She could bet they would be related.
The girls were still throwing themselves at him. At the beckon of his friend, his bodyguards picked them and walked them out. She ignored their voices. His presence made it all in the background.
He stood with his troop, all in the black suits. But he seemed the boss of them all from a distance, all-powerful. It was hard for her to pull herself out of his powerful aura.
" Raffaele! Your girlfriend doesn't look interested in you. " Jonathan smirked, checking her out over the rim of his Champaign's glass.
She glared at him with disdain.
" Aren't you, baby? " Raffaele dug his fingers harder, making the pain worse.
The pain became unbearable. She lifted her right foot and dug her heels in his shoe. She heard him groan in his throat.
The music was low after his arrival. So she could easily hear him and a victory smile spread on her lips. His grip loosened. She puffed out a heavy breath in relief. She wanted his filthy hands off of her. She instantly took out her phone as it vibrated in her clutch.
Suddenly, relief washed her and she also felt anxious as she stared at the phone. She stepped away from him while swiping to answer it. She hoisted it up to her right ear.
"It's done," She closed her eyes and sighed in relief.
Her smile widened when she heard what she was expecting. She put her phone back in her clutch.
She whirled to leave this disgusting place. Although it was the best one night club. But with people like Raffaele, this place seemed disgusting to her.
She wanted to have a glimpse of him, Mr handsome before leaving.
While turning, her gaze rested on Mr Handsome. His eyes were already burning in her. His one hand was shoving in his pocket and with the second he was holding whisky.
Raffaele blocked her from going out, " You're my date for tonight. The night is still young, Barbie! " He raised his hand to touch her.
She quickly stepped back in her red heels and glared at him. Her red tight dress was molding on her curves. She loved the slit part.
She tried to pass through him, but he halted her again, blocking the door with his opened arm. She heaved and breathed out slowly. She daggered him with her glare again. It was clear she didn't want to be with him.
" Are you forgetting this, baby? " He wickedly grinned and waved his phone at her. He was blackmailing them. She yanked the phone from his hand, " You can take it. Emlyn would love to see herself with me. " He leaned in closer and whispered in her ear. His evil grin was on display.
She stepped back with a smirk. It perplexed Raffaele. She lit the screen and turned it before his eyes and then showed it back to him. She did it twice.
" It's not my phone. " He held it from her and lit up the screen. His face twisted in exasperation. He hurtled it on the marble floor. All gazes turned to them, " Where the f*** is my phone? " He aggravated.
She smiled and took out her phone from her clutch and dialled her best friend's number. She answered it on the first ring, " Hye Em! Your so-called ex wants to know where his phone is? " She smiled, looking at him with challenging eyes. She shoved the speaker closer to his ear. " Sure, Barbie! I'll explain everything to this dipshit, not just about his phone and laptop but also his foolish friends' things too. Come to my place dickhead! " She heard the phone double beep of the phone and disconnecting. " You over-smart bitch! " He raised his fist at her. Quickly she bent her knees and dodged his blow. It swiped over her head. Swirling she reached behind him. She hit him behind his knee with her heel. He stumbled and fell on his face with a loud thump. " Didn't momma teach you to watch your steps? " She mocked and laughed at he
She walked on the pavement. She was staring back at the road to see any cab. But the road looked empty. A red sports car stopped. The windows were tinted. For a few seconds, she couldn't pluck her eyes from it. She gasped at the beauty of it. Although, there were a lot of splendid cars on NY roads. But it looked special for a special person, " Wait! Barbie, I'll drop you. It's not safe to walk on the roadside in the middle of the night. " Matteo said, stepping out of his red sports car. She spun and smiled at him, " You have a lovely car. But no thanks. " She shook her head and didn't stop her feet. " Come on! Sister in law, don't be obstinate. " Matteo opened his arms and slung it immediately down.
To put the space between them, she put her both hands on his hard chest. She was perplexed as her hand felt the bulge under his chest. She patted her hand on it as it wasn't looking part of his hard chiselled body. Accidentally, her eyes met his. The corners of his lips lifted in a dark smile. He held her hand, " You wanna know what lies down the fabric. " He brushed his thumb on her cheek. Which was wet with tears. " No, " She whispered immediately. It was a gun. She was sure about it. She didn't want to feel a satisfied smile on his face. His smirk widened, " Good decision. You don't look prepared for my dark side. " The humour was gone far from his icy eyes and tone. His deadly glare stabbed her again, " My friends are in. Don't do anything stupid. " He said. " What are you going to do? " She asked as his harsh words reverberated in her mind
Her breaths returned to normal when his car was taking her away from him. She stared at the ring and couldn't believe what happened right now. She was engaged to a Mafia and was unaware of it. She had a week. Running from him was already hovering over her mind. She glanced black. She gasped as she glanced at another grey stylish car following this car. She straightened herself and stared at the ring. ' I'm going to sell your ring, and buy all the luxuries of life with your ring, away from you, where you can't find me, Mr Lorenzo De Luca. ' She made a promise to herself and waited for his right hand to stop the car. She wanted to reach home and spilt out everything to her best friend, Emlyn.
She grabbed her toothbrush and stared at her slightly red eyes. She finished her brushing task and turned toward the showered. She checked the door's lock again. She kept her attire casual, tight-fitting jeans and dark green crop top, makeup which showed her simple but beautiful look. The doorbell chimed and she trod at the door. " Pancakes, " Emlyn erupted in a smile, holding the paper bag in her hand, " Ready? " She wiggled her brows. " Just a second, " She arranged her shoulder bag over her shoulder and grasped her phone. She exhaled, biting her lip, " Ten missed calls. " She cleared the notifications. Her phone vibrated in her hand, " Gosh! " She threw her head back and frowned at it. She swiped
She sighed as she opened her eyes. It was a headache, she felt at first. She gazed around with a confused expression. She tried to recollect what happened? Slowly, she recalled everything. Her eyes turned glassy. She pushed the thought away from her mind. It was just increasing the pain in her head. Her searching eyes rested on his back. A pang of disappointment made her heart heavy. She wasn't expecting at least him, " Where am I? " She asked him. She wanted to lie that everything would be all right but it wasn't true. She wanted to know why his ring was on her finger? Was it some kind of a joke? Her heart skipped a beat when he turned to face her, ' Why does he look more handsome than last time? ' H
Her mind was blown by the condo. It was beyond her expectation, the only luxury all over. The apartment was huge with marble floor and mirror works gracefully, and chandeliers hanging on the ceiling. Every time her eyes were drawn to the glass-enclosed wall, it made her wonder. She had never been to such a place that looked so grand. She couldn't believe it, she had spent the night in his room. There were only two huge pictures hanging on the left wall of his room. In the first one, Lorenzo was with Matteo. Matteo was their youngest brother, handsome like them. He was known for his grand parties and stayed in the news because of it. They weren't in the centre of her eyes. Her eyes were peering in the blue eyes of the third person. She felt his power. His personality was o
She opened her eyes hearing noises. Emlyn and Romero were arguing over, standing in the aisle, " What's wrong with you both? " She asked, hoarsely. " I'm asking for my phone. But this man is a pain in the ass. " Em snorted, staring at him disappointedly. " Emlyn, don't talk like this. Keep your mouth tight shut there. You'll put yourself in trouble." Romero said and sat on his seat when the pilot announcement echoed. She squeezed her hand when Emlyn sat next to her and frowned at Romero, " Calm down. He's just following the orders. " She said. " Shouldn't he help us? " Emlyn stared at him. " We don't know his situation. We can't judge this be
EPILOGUE She ran her hand on her hair. A rare smile was over her face but there was fear too. She wasn't certain she would like to see her baby surrounded by danger. Deep concern embedded her expression. Elizabeth had invited them to dinner. She hadn't spent a pleasant day with her family. She was scared they would say or do something which would only upset her. The horror of what they had done to her in her past, how they wanted her out of her husband's life. She couldn't forget anything. She buried her fear and drew herself on her feet. She wanted to deny it. But Elizabeth was nice to her now. She didn't want to think about the past. She sounded excited hearing about
She felt pain as she opened her eyes. First, she noticed mumbles out of the door and then pain. She pushed herself on her feet and sprinted toward the mirror. She closed her eyes for a second, holding the edge of vanity to support her weight. Gradually, She opened her eyes, running her gaze over the sutures. She felt goosebumps over her arms in fear he could have killed her. She was certain after watching five sutures. She was also certain about one thing, Alessandro would make his remaining breathing worse than hell. She spun on her heels as she heard the mumbles getting louder. She walked over to the door. She wanted to check the lock. Lifting her hand, she curled her hand over the doorknob.
She was walking out on the grass, the sun was shining bright. She was wearing a designer grey cardigan and black jeans. She was loving the sun heat on her skin. She drifted her gaze around. Her guards were patrolling the area. She sat on the chair and closed her eyes, resting her head back, enjoying the sunlight over her skin. A soft smile touched her lips as she thought about her husband. He took her out, the time she spent in the park with him, his guards weren't surrounding them. But she was aware of them. Her lips curled more in a full smile. Her body jerked with fear when she felt cold metal on her neck and a rough hand gripping her by shoulder rudely. Her eyes snapped open. She saw a filthy face grinning down at
After eating her meal, she came back to her room. She didn't want to be in the same room where she had seen someone dying. She spun to Alessandro. He was in a deep talk with Kruzenski. "Ales," She softly said. Kruzenski smiled broadly and she noticed a dimple in his right cheek. Alessandro noticed her hesitation, "Yes," He asked. "I don't wanna stay in this room." She said, gulping. She lowered her gaze to avoid his harsh expression. She was expecting him to deny her. Alessandro glanced at her, "Sure, you can shift the room." Kruzenski held out his hand. She looked at her husband before linking h
She bit on her lower lip softly as she began to turn the stick in her hand to see the result. She froze when she felt a cold metal pressing against her forehead. She twirled gradually, eyes widened, heart pounding loud in her chest. Her eyes met a smirking, notorious man, she recognized him from the airport. His lower lip was bright red and swollen. She pushed herself back, the stick fell from her hand, making a soft sound. She heard the click from his gun. She swallowed in fear looking into his smirking eyes. "What should I do first? Moy angel." He smirked evilly. She lifted her knees and hit him with full force. The man groaned in pain, "Yobanaya suka!" He glared at her and pointed the gun at her head.
His arm was warming and comforting as they walked down the plane, "It's cold here," She said, watching the mist around herself. Her skin was looking more white because of the cold. He pulled her closer, "You wanna be at the cold place," He looked at her. "Yeah, but it's too much." She rubbed her hands together. His expression hardened as he saw two men walking to them in black suits, "Get in the car," He said to her, motioning at Cassio. "Ales," His dark glare shut her up. Sadness clouded her beautiful features. Without wasting a second, she twirled on her heels and trotted toward the car. She was perplexed that Cassio wasn't wearing warm clothes, still, there was no sign of coldness over his face.&nbs
The next side of her was empty as she climbed down the bed and drifted her gaze around. Her gaze stopped on the half opened door. She smiled and plucked her steps toward the washroom, gathering her hair in a bun. She brushed her teeth and grabbed the towel from the hook. She took a quick shower. Taking a glimpse of herself in the mirror, she spun to the bedroom door. She was draped into a red mini dress, and thigh shoes, the soft curls of her hair were dancing with her every move. Alessandro harbored the beast, no one wanted to face. When she pulled the door, her husband was standing on the other side of the door. Her smile couldn't hide from flashing, "Good morning," Her gleeful voice re
She was toying with her phone, staring blankly at the kitchen. Her mind was hovering over where her brother was sitting on the metal chair, his nose was bleeding. Her throat tightened. She believed that he wouldn't hurt him. Footsteps echoed in the hall. It wasn't Alessandro as he never made a noise, nor did he make noise neither his guards. She whirled her head and a broad smile appeared on her face. Drawing herself on her feet, she rushed at him and jumped in his arms. Noah caught her, wrapping her in his arms. Instantly, she pulled her face back and gazed at her brother, "Your nose looks okay." She sm
It was hard for her to adjust to her new world when she was certain she didn't want to be at this wedding. With passing time, things changed. Her likeness turned into love. His fingers dug in her skin. Breaking her thoughts, she looked at him. He pushed open the door of the bedroom. She could never bring herself to insist, to know more about his dark life. She was so pleased with his caring nature that tears appeared in her eyes. For a moment, she couldn't see him clearly. He glanced down at her and scowled, "Does it hurt?" He asked, turning his gaze to her arm. Blinking, she noticed his handsome face and blue gaze, "Do you always face danger?" She asked. He looked at her, "Ups and downs are a part of life. I don't care m
