To put the space between them, she put her both hands on his hard chest. She was perplexed as her hand felt the bulge under his chest. She patted her hand on it as it wasn't looking part of his hard chiselled body. Accidentally, her eyes met his. The corners of his lips lifted in a dark smile. He held her hand, " You wanna know what lies down the fabric. " He brushed his thumb on her cheek. Which was wet with tears.
" No, " She whispered immediately. It was a gun. She was sure about it. She didn't want to feel a satisfied smile on his face.
His smirk widened, " Good decision. You don't look prepared for my dark side. " The humour was gone far from his icy eyes and tone. His deadly glare stabbed her again, " My friends are in. Don't do anything stupid. " He said.
" What are you going to do? " She asked as his harsh words reverberated in her mind. There was a warning in his look and a promise of punishment in his dark tone.
His smirk returned again, " I'm going to put my ring on your finger. " He said and hauled her inside the building.
She couldn't come out of the shock of his words yet. She gasped while looking around. It was far different from the outer look of the building. The walls, roof, it was all white and dark furniture. There was only dark furniture and mirror work in the building. But was looking so royal if he would add a red carpet instead of pitch-black carpets. She blinked and lowered her gaze from the roof. He was staring at her, " What do you mean by the ring?" She asked, fearfully.
" Not a stupid thing. You don't want me as your enemy. '' He intensely told her.
"I don't want you as my friend either," She drawled, but she doubted her words.
He smirked darkly. He suddenly held her at his hand' distance and moved his eyes on her body. Suddenly, she felt the need to cover herself from head to toe. It felt awkward to her. She wrapped her free hand around her waist. He let go of her hand and removed his coat.
She shivered with fear, " Guns, " She gasped. His holster was carrying two guns at both sides of his hard chest and knives. His muscles rippled through the thin, expensive white fabric of his shirt.
" Wear it, " He ordered her. It astounded her, " I don't want anyone to ogle at you. It will just boost me to shoot in their head. " He said with the taste of anger.
Her body quivered again as she stared at him. He frowned his forehead. He stepped closer. Her stomach felt strange, an unknown feeling which she hadn't felt before for anyone but him. She was in pretty trouble. He couldn't be a decent, innocent guy. He was carrying guns, Two! Knives!
She held the coat immediately and slipped her arms in it. Her nose filled with his muscular scent. It dazzled her. His hand on her lower back brought her back. He walked at the huge dark double wooden door.
She could hear hysterical voices from inside. She stood dead, feared to know what was hiding behind the dark door. She was scared, her heart was throbbing in her ears. When he pushed it. Her eyes caught Matteo. He was speaking something while smiling. He wasn't alone. Instead of looking at their faces, she lowered her eyes. He gently pressed her forward and they walked in another regal hall.
She wanted to run back but more than his hand around her, his guns halted her. Tears pressed against her eyes but she held them back. She didn't want him as her enemy. He talked about only putting on a ring. She could pretend and then flee away.
If she started crying now, things would only get worse for her. Particularly, when she was standing in his place. She whirled to run off.
" I'll find you. " He whispered. There was steel in his tone.
She shuddered again and tried to match her steps with his long treads. She ran his eyes on their faces, including Matteo. They were four in the same black suit, and handsome but not more than Matteo. He had a boyish charm over his face. She blinked and stared at the marble floor.
" She's Barbie. This is Alfredo, Gianni, my friends, and he's Romero, my left hand," He said.
When his fingers snapped at her lower back. She nodded with a fake smile. She froze head to toe. She knew the meaning of the right hand. She was gazing at him with huge eyes and parted lips. Something else caught her gaze. Across from the floor, the door was opened and it was dark there. But she could see a figure standing there looking at her, his face was dark. His perfect body was draped with a blue Armani suit. He took a step back hiding himself in the dark, she didn't remove her gaze and she witnessed his blue eyes. His eyes were on her, only her. It left a scorching track over her body. He made her heart skip a beat.
Lorenzo held her hand strongly as it was shivering badly. He slid the ring in her ring finger.
'When did he purchase it? Why is he doing this? And who's there? Why didn't he introduce me to him?'
She stared down at her hand which was suddenly feeling heavy to her. He slid a diamond ring on her ring finger. Platinum was studded with three fat diamonds. Her gaze turned to the darkroom. But there was no one, only dark lingered.
She snapped her eyes back at them as she heard the applause of his friends, brother, and right hand. She blinked and looked up at him. He leaned in and pressed his lips on her cheek softly. It was just a graze. She glimpsed his blue eyes again on her. She could feel his wrath. She shivered but it also gave her hundreds of feelings.
' Who's he? '
" We wanted to celebrate. But we have the flight to catch. " Alfredo smirked. He was tall, with dark hair, cold dark eyes and the broadest shoulders she had ever seen. His strong jaw made him handsome.
She gulped hard. ' He won't take me with him. '
" Nico will be your bodyguard from now on. " Lorenzo told her.
She couldn't speak as the shock had still paralyzed her, " Now you're officially my Sister in law. Congrats. '' Matteo took hold of her hand from his brother and kissed the knuckles of her hand, " See you after a week. " He smiled and followed Alfredo, Gianni out.
" I need to go home. " She whispered as she stared at the darkroom.
Lorenzo cleared his throat. She jerked her eyes at him, " Romero! " He signed and ushered her out of the building.
Matteo, Alfredo and Gianni were already waiting for him leaning against a black Mercedes.
" I can't keep them in my house. I've one room with a small living room, kitchen and bathroom. " She tried to justify herself.
" That's my problem to sort. We'll talk in the morning. " He said and opened the door for her of black Audi. She quickly rushed in and waited for him to go away from her. He leaned forward and opened his palm. She hesitantly grabbed her phone from his palm.
She pressed her lips tight and stared at her hands in her lap. He closed the door softly and gestured at his men.
Her breaths returned to normal when his car was taking her away from him. She stared at the ring and couldn't believe what happened right now. She was engaged to a Mafia and was unaware of it. She had a week. Running from him was already hovering over her mind. She glanced black. She gasped as she glanced at another grey stylish car following this car. She straightened herself and stared at the ring. ' I'm going to sell your ring, and buy all the luxuries of life with your ring, away from you, where you can't find me, Mr Lorenzo De Luca. ' She made a promise to herself and waited for his right hand to stop the car. She wanted to reach home and spilt out everything to her best friend, Emlyn.
She grabbed her toothbrush and stared at her slightly red eyes. She finished her brushing task and turned toward the showered. She checked the door's lock again. She kept her attire casual, tight-fitting jeans and dark green crop top, makeup which showed her simple but beautiful look. The doorbell chimed and she trod at the door. " Pancakes, " Emlyn erupted in a smile, holding the paper bag in her hand, " Ready? " She wiggled her brows. " Just a second, " She arranged her shoulder bag over her shoulder and grasped her phone. She exhaled, biting her lip, " Ten missed calls. " She cleared the notifications. Her phone vibrated in her hand, " Gosh! " She threw her head back and frowned at it. She swiped
She sighed as she opened her eyes. It was a headache, she felt at first. She gazed around with a confused expression. She tried to recollect what happened? Slowly, she recalled everything. Her eyes turned glassy. She pushed the thought away from her mind. It was just increasing the pain in her head. Her searching eyes rested on his back. A pang of disappointment made her heart heavy. She wasn't expecting at least him, " Where am I? " She asked him. She wanted to lie that everything would be all right but it wasn't true. She wanted to know why his ring was on her finger? Was it some kind of a joke? Her heart skipped a beat when he turned to face her, ' Why does he look more handsome than last time? ' H
Her mind was blown by the condo. It was beyond her expectation, the only luxury all over. The apartment was huge with marble floor and mirror works gracefully, and chandeliers hanging on the ceiling. Every time her eyes were drawn to the glass-enclosed wall, it made her wonder. She had never been to such a place that looked so grand. She couldn't believe it, she had spent the night in his room. There were only two huge pictures hanging on the left wall of his room. In the first one, Lorenzo was with Matteo. Matteo was their youngest brother, handsome like them. He was known for his grand parties and stayed in the news because of it. They weren't in the centre of her eyes. Her eyes were peering in the blue eyes of the third person. She felt his power. His personality was o
She opened her eyes hearing noises. Emlyn and Romero were arguing over, standing in the aisle, " What's wrong with you both? " She asked, hoarsely. " I'm asking for my phone. But this man is a pain in the ass. " Em snorted, staring at him disappointedly. " Emlyn, don't talk like this. Keep your mouth tight shut there. You'll put yourself in trouble." Romero said and sat on his seat when the pilot announcement echoed. She squeezed her hand when Emlyn sat next to her and frowned at Romero, " Calm down. He's just following the orders. " She said. " Shouldn't he help us? " Emlyn stared at him. " We don't know his situation. We can't judge this be
Nervousness bubbled up in her, with every step at them. Her mother took her in a rib breaking hug. When she stepped back her eyes were filled with tears, " Thank you. " She caressed her cheek. Her father embraced her, " Don't tell your brother anything. He does not know anything. " He whispered in her ear.She could feel him behind her, " Sure, dad. " She stepped back, smilingly. Her father was staring at Emlyn.'So he c
She was staring out of the window. The sun was already down. She was going to step into a new life that wasn't selected by her. His world seemed truly ruled by power. She had seen him issuing words, people were supposed to carry his words. He had an agile mind, he set up his words like she couldn't back off. She met him today, her mind was occupied with tension. His words were reverberating in her mind, giving her a bad headache. She wasn't supposing this marriage would work as he didn't understand her, he ordered and marriage didn't work like this. " Dear Lord! I can't spend one day with him. He's strong, vicious and ruthless. " She murmured. He wasn't the man she wanted to fall for. She shivered, recalling his closeness in the car. She didn't hate him, but when Emlyn's name slipped from his m
Her feet were aching, and her back was paining. She wanted to get out of her heavy clothes and wear something light. Throwing herself on the soft mattress, she wanted to sleep until she forgot she was his wife. Her first dance was with her husband. She avoided meeting her gaze with his, " Are you excited? " He asked, tightening his hand on her waist. " To run away from you. Of course. " She said with a fake smile. He pulled her closer to his chest. Her nostrils filled with his cologne, and she rested her hand on his chest. She slipped her hand slightly down and froze when something hard felt under it. She confusedly looked in his eyes, " You have the whole night. So patience. " He whispered. " I'm not interested. It's not your
EPILOGUE She ran her hand on her hair. A rare smile was over her face but there was fear too. She wasn't certain she would like to see her baby surrounded by danger. Deep concern embedded her expression. Elizabeth had invited them to dinner. She hadn't spent a pleasant day with her family. She was scared they would say or do something which would only upset her. The horror of what they had done to her in her past, how they wanted her out of her husband's life. She couldn't forget anything. She buried her fear and drew herself on her feet. She wanted to deny it. But Elizabeth was nice to her now. She didn't want to think about the past. She sounded excited hearing about
She felt pain as she opened her eyes. First, she noticed mumbles out of the door and then pain. She pushed herself on her feet and sprinted toward the mirror. She closed her eyes for a second, holding the edge of vanity to support her weight. Gradually, She opened her eyes, running her gaze over the sutures. She felt goosebumps over her arms in fear he could have killed her. She was certain after watching five sutures. She was also certain about one thing, Alessandro would make his remaining breathing worse than hell. She spun on her heels as she heard the mumbles getting louder. She walked over to the door. She wanted to check the lock. Lifting her hand, she curled her hand over the doorknob.
She was walking out on the grass, the sun was shining bright. She was wearing a designer grey cardigan and black jeans. She was loving the sun heat on her skin. She drifted her gaze around. Her guards were patrolling the area. She sat on the chair and closed her eyes, resting her head back, enjoying the sunlight over her skin. A soft smile touched her lips as she thought about her husband. He took her out, the time she spent in the park with him, his guards weren't surrounding them. But she was aware of them. Her lips curled more in a full smile. Her body jerked with fear when she felt cold metal on her neck and a rough hand gripping her by shoulder rudely. Her eyes snapped open. She saw a filthy face grinning down at
After eating her meal, she came back to her room. She didn't want to be in the same room where she had seen someone dying. She spun to Alessandro. He was in a deep talk with Kruzenski. "Ales," She softly said. Kruzenski smiled broadly and she noticed a dimple in his right cheek. Alessandro noticed her hesitation, "Yes," He asked. "I don't wanna stay in this room." She said, gulping. She lowered her gaze to avoid his harsh expression. She was expecting him to deny her. Alessandro glanced at her, "Sure, you can shift the room." Kruzenski held out his hand. She looked at her husband before linking h
She bit on her lower lip softly as she began to turn the stick in her hand to see the result. She froze when she felt a cold metal pressing against her forehead. She twirled gradually, eyes widened, heart pounding loud in her chest. Her eyes met a smirking, notorious man, she recognized him from the airport. His lower lip was bright red and swollen. She pushed herself back, the stick fell from her hand, making a soft sound. She heard the click from his gun. She swallowed in fear looking into his smirking eyes. "What should I do first? Moy angel." He smirked evilly. She lifted her knees and hit him with full force. The man groaned in pain, "Yobanaya suka!" He glared at her and pointed the gun at her head.
His arm was warming and comforting as they walked down the plane, "It's cold here," She said, watching the mist around herself. Her skin was looking more white because of the cold. He pulled her closer, "You wanna be at the cold place," He looked at her. "Yeah, but it's too much." She rubbed her hands together. His expression hardened as he saw two men walking to them in black suits, "Get in the car," He said to her, motioning at Cassio. "Ales," His dark glare shut her up. Sadness clouded her beautiful features. Without wasting a second, she twirled on her heels and trotted toward the car. She was perplexed that Cassio wasn't wearing warm clothes, still, there was no sign of coldness over his face.&nbs
The next side of her was empty as she climbed down the bed and drifted her gaze around. Her gaze stopped on the half opened door. She smiled and plucked her steps toward the washroom, gathering her hair in a bun. She brushed her teeth and grabbed the towel from the hook. She took a quick shower. Taking a glimpse of herself in the mirror, she spun to the bedroom door. She was draped into a red mini dress, and thigh shoes, the soft curls of her hair were dancing with her every move. Alessandro harbored the beast, no one wanted to face. When she pulled the door, her husband was standing on the other side of the door. Her smile couldn't hide from flashing, "Good morning," Her gleeful voice re
She was toying with her phone, staring blankly at the kitchen. Her mind was hovering over where her brother was sitting on the metal chair, his nose was bleeding. Her throat tightened. She believed that he wouldn't hurt him. Footsteps echoed in the hall. It wasn't Alessandro as he never made a noise, nor did he make noise neither his guards. She whirled her head and a broad smile appeared on her face. Drawing herself on her feet, she rushed at him and jumped in his arms. Noah caught her, wrapping her in his arms. Instantly, she pulled her face back and gazed at her brother, "Your nose looks okay." She sm
It was hard for her to adjust to her new world when she was certain she didn't want to be at this wedding. With passing time, things changed. Her likeness turned into love. His fingers dug in her skin. Breaking her thoughts, she looked at him. He pushed open the door of the bedroom. She could never bring herself to insist, to know more about his dark life. She was so pleased with his caring nature that tears appeared in her eyes. For a moment, she couldn't see him clearly. He glanced down at her and scowled, "Does it hurt?" He asked, turning his gaze to her arm. Blinking, she noticed his handsome face and blue gaze, "Do you always face danger?" She asked. He looked at her, "Ups and downs are a part of life. I don't care m
