104. Caught.

April's POV

It has been an entire day since we saved Dorian, and he has still not woken up. I had cleaned him up last night, and I desperately wished that he would open his eyes and say something. But he remained unconscious, and the only hope of life that we had was his murmurs and breathing, which became rapid now and then.

Ivar helped me move him to one of the bedrooms upstairs, and we cleaned up the living room and all the mud and grime that had trailed into the house.

Ivar had also insisted that I go home every night to avoid suspicion. I told him that Susan didn't care about where I went to, but he wouldn't hear of it and sent me home right after we had cleaned the living room.

I woke up in my bed at home to the sound of my phone ringing. I groaned sleepily and covered my head with a pillow. I was so tired and didn't want to talk to anyone on the phone.
