“SHALL WE TAKE him to the hospital, Luna?” the guard asked me. I pulled myself from my deep thoughts and looked at them, confused.

“The Beta...” the guard said, “He is ill, right? Should we take him to the hospital?”

I shook my head. “No, no.” I pointed in the direction of his house. “We will take him to his house. His mate will take care of him there. Here, put him in the buggy.”

They nodded and moved in unison, carrying Draco easily to place him in the back of the car. Two of them got in beside the slumped Beta while I got in behind the wheel. “Keep a close eye on our guest,” I said. “I don’t trust him. Make sure his location is known at all times, okay?”

“Yes, Luna!” they saluted and marched back to the palace while I drove off slowly. I managed to stop my mind from straying as I drove to Draco’s house. I eased to a stop in his drive way and the two guards went to carry him out.
