“WE ARE LANDING now, sir. Please fasten your seatbelt,” the voice of his private pilot said through the speakers.

Vladimir chuffed and secured himself out of formality. A few minutes later, the plane touched down and taxied along the runway. It eased to a stop and the air hostess opened the door while another pulled his luggage from the compartment.

“Welcome to Italy, sir,” the air hostess greeted as he went down the stairs. “Have an enjoyable stay.”

Vladimir snorted. He looked up at the sky. It would be a full moon in a few days. A night for werewolves to refill the energies of their wolf spirit from the moon goddess. His skin was pale and white, reflecting the blue hue from the moon in the dark airport.

He got into the limousine waiting to take him to one of his hotels located in the city of Madrid. As he was being driven out of the airport, Vladimir looked out the window. He had not been here in centuries. Things had changed since then so he was both surprised and impressed that h

SHE RETURNED THE kiss with passionate fervor. Her tongue brushed his lower lip erotically and his arms involuntarily tightened around her. Her hand wrapped around his neck tentatively and brushed his nape.He pulled back and looked at her, she stared back at him with unabashed desire in her eyes, her head tilted slightly at an angle and her lips were parted and moist. It could be that she was genuinely attracted to him for his looks, he reached up and stroked her chin with feathery touches… or she was just a gold digger who came here with the intention of seducing him, just to climb the social ladder and be in a relationship with one of the richest and most influential business moguls of the country. Not that he cared what her reason was, but she was in for a shock when this was all over. He chuckled and leaned down to kiss her again, then he carried her easily – she was slim and lithe – to the will. He pressed her against the glass and tore open her clothes, as her hands ravished his

I pulled myself from my deep thoughts and looked at them, confused.“The Beta...” the guard said, “He is ill, right? Should we take him to the hospital?”I shook my head. “No, no.” I pointed in the direction of his house. “We will take him to his house. His mate will take care of him there. Here, put him in the buggy.”They nodded and moved in unison, carrying Draco easily to place him in the back of the car. Two of them got in beside the slumped Beta while I got in behind the wheel. “Keep a close eye on our guest,” I said. “I don’t trust him. Make sure his location is known at all times, okay?” “Yes, Luna!” they saluted and marched back to the palace while I drove off slowly. I managed to stop my mind from straying as I drove to Draco’s house. I eased to a stop in his drive way and the two guards went to carry him out. I wondered if Hilda would be home by this time. Draco, being the Beta, got enough m

I sighed as I walked through and headed to my library."Luna," Patty called, hurrying from the kitchen. She wiped her hand on a napkin. "The Alpha went out."My brows drew together. "Did he say where he was going?"She shook her head. "He only said he was going out on a walk."I frowned even deeper as I looked out the window. The skies over the Northern side were Grey and heavy. There was a storm incoming. "A walk in this weather?" I asked myself. She shrugged. "He said he will be back soon.""Thank you, Patty," I said, reaching out to touch her hand. "Lunch is ready," She told me. "Should I serve the table or have them bring it to your chambers?"I shook my head. "I am not exactly hungry. But don't worry," I quickly added. "I will eat, just not now, okay?" She seemed displeased but she nodded. "Okay, Luna.""Are the children back from school?" I asked. And just on cue, the front

ANNA KYLIN CHESTERTO MY SURPRISE, the first person who came down for dinner was Elijah. Immediately he came down, he popped his head through the door, but he was not expecting to see me, because he froze and looked down."Did you want something?" I asked softly.I nodded glumly and walked in. "Water," he said, going to the tap and pouring out a glass of water. I did not point out to him that we did not drink water from the tap. Nothing was going to happen to him, but I knew he was lying. He did not come down here for tap water. He struggled to finish the glass cup, then belched before he walked out without meeting my eyes. I was still confused as I opened and brought out the large piece of steak. I looked at the thermometer. I must have over cooked it. I was not good at this, I groaned as I struggled to handle the hot tray even though I was wearing thick mittens."Let me get that, Luna," Patty came up beside me and easily carried the tray out - with her bare hands. I watched her in

ANNA KYLIN CHESTER AS I WENT down the stairs, I tried to put my worry about Mitch out of my mind. I put a soft smile on my face as I entered the dining room. The table was fully set already.I took a seat at the head of the table - where Mitch would normally sit."What of Dad?" Aiden asked. "Where is he?""He will not be joining us tonight," I said. "He is not feeling so well.""But you will treat him, right?" Addison asked. I nodded. She grinned and leaned closer to Hailie. "My mum is a doctor. The best doctor in the world."I cleared my throat. "Thank you for joining us, Mr. Charles," I said. "Children, this is Mr. Charles Barnes. He is a representative of the council."He nodded and smiled grimly. "Thank you for having me." He said.I rubbed my hand. "Let's eat," I said. "Watch not to stain your clothes, children," I said as Aiden and Addison reached out to scoop out their meals with enthusiasm. Some kitchen hands immediately came over to help the children."So," Charles said. I n

ANNA KYLIN CHESTERI HUNG AROUND the children's room as I waited for Enrique and Charles to bond. I chuckled. If Mitch intimidated Charles, I could not imagine how he was feeling now that he was being grilled by Enrique. I almost felt pity for him."You want some?" Addison's voice made me look at them. She was offering her plate of food to Hailie who nodded and joined her.Aiden was already in his bed, covered up and ready to sleep. I went to him and brushed his hair away from his forehead. "You didn't brush your teeth," I said softly. He closed his eyes immediately.I chuckled. "I am not fooled, young man," I opened the covers and said. "Out, now. You have to brush twice every day. You know that."He groaned and got out of bed."You both had better follow him now so you won't forget," I said to Addison and Hailie. They nodded and dropped the plate before going to the bathroom. I handed the plate to one of the standby nannies, "Help me take that to the kitchen, would you?"She nodded

He nodded. "We can do that. It will -""And also," I cut in. "We will remain a single kingdom. We do not care about becoming a member of the council, neither do we care about the politics involved.""But -""The council might claim to accept us," I cut him off again. "But we know that many packs will always see us as the outsiders.""What you are saying is not what we stand to gain from this," Enrique snarled. "Say something -""Let me finish!" I dragged my gaze from Charles and pinned it on Enrique. He grumbled under his breath, but he went silent. "The council is going to answer all of our calls immediately. MITCH CHESTERAFTER ANNA LEFT the room, Mitch tossed and turned on his bed restlessly. Finally, unable to take it any longer, he sat up groggily and went to the bathroom. Surely, a warm shower would calm his nerves. Half an hour later, he came out of the steaming shower but he still was not feeling sleepy. He could hear the slight murmuring coming from downstairs. He wondered what they were talking about. What was Charles saying? Anna said she could handle him, but could she? What if Charles ended up playing with her mind? What if she could not handle Charles and ended up falling into his trap?I grunted. "Stop it, Mitch," He muttered to himself. "The worst thing you can do to yourself now is to doubt your mate." He sighed and sat up."Draco," He mindlinked softly."Yeah?" Draco's voice came back immediately."I was not expecting you to reply," Mitch said, genuinely surprised. "You looked pretty bummed out when Anna carried you out."Draco chuckled softly. "Hilda has banned me from

ANNA KYLIN CHESTERHOLDING ON TO Vorenus softly as he led me out, We walked up a flight of stairs and down a hallway till we stopped in front of a thick, mahogany wood. I took a deep breath as Vorenus pushed the door open and stood aside to let me through. Taking careful steps, I walked into the room. It was like a large hall, lit up beautifully with gold chandeliers. There was a small round table in the middle of the room, and Vorenus was seated at the head of the table. He looked at me as I walked in; his eyes widened slightly, but that was the only reaction he gave. His human mistress sat beside me; the look she gave was a nasty, dirty stare, but she kept her mouth shut. Vladimir's eyes followed me all the way to the table. I nodded at him curtly and took a seat. The table was filled with many delicacies, and even a full roast pig sat in the center.“Thank you for coming,“ Vladimir said.It was not like I had any option; I scoffed under my breath. I turned and looked behind me, exp

ANNA KYLIN CHESTERI DO NOT know how long I remained in the cage — listening to the dripping of water in the far dark distance. But I knew when the sun went down, because the mansion became more active, and the sound of night bugs joined in the sound of water droplets.I felt like I was going to run mad, but the door opened and the butler came in. He was human, I was sure of it, but still, there was something off about him. But I could not place my hand on it. He stood a few feet away from my cell and looked at me in a spiteful manner. “My name is Bartholomew the Fourteenth,“ he said. The fourteenth? I asked myself. Does that mean that fourteen generations of this man's family had lived with and worked for Vladimir?“What you are thinking is exactly correct,“ the butler said. “And no, I cannot read minds, but I could clearly see the confusion written on your face.”“What do you want?“ I asked. If he was going to be anything like the other human in the mansion - Janet, I wanted to prep

Vladimir. She turned and looked at the way she had come from, considering her options. Should she take this vampire back to the kingdom where he could be interviewed by Mitch for information, or should she take the more riskier option and tell the vampire to take her to where Anna was being kept prisoner? She looked back and forth a couple of times, then she made her decision. She was not going back to the kingdom. She and they w

LORNA LOOKED OUT the window and watched as Mitch addressed the guest from the Red Moon pack; she saw the way they looked at him with awe and adoration. They were here out of respect for him and love for Anna. She turned away from the window and went to the bed where Aiden was sleeping, brushing her hand across his forehead. He mumbled something inaudible and shuffled slightly, but he did not wake up. She sighed sadly, wondering what the medical personnel were going to make of this. Aiden was not entirely in a coma. He responded to touch, and she had seen his flicker in his eyelids when Mitch had whispered something in his ear a few hours ago. It was just like he was in a deep slumber without being able to wake up. She imagined it to be like he was trapped in his own body.“If only your mother were here,“ she muttered in a small voice. “She would know what to do to bring you back.“ Lorna spoke gently to herself. She sighed and leaned in to kiss Aiden's forehead. She felt very connected

MITCH CHESTERMITCH COULD FEEL the animosity in the tense air as soon as they walked in. Draco was behind him, and Delta Adam walked beside him as they walked to the front of the hall. All heads followed their movement. Mitch stopped and overlooked the senate; he cleared his throat to stop all side talks and make sure all the attention was on him before he said, “We have some guests in our midst,“ he said in a strong voice. “And I expect us to be hospitable and treat them well.““They are from the inland pack,“ a small, stubby man muttered.“From the lunas former pack,“ Mitch nodded. “And they are here to help us in rescuing her. I hope we will be able to put aside your differences and work together.“The hall was silent for the next few seconds, so Mitch continued, “And they brought some weapons to give us an added advantage,“ he said.“We will be fighting with weapons now?“ Sil asked, astonished, “Like the humans?“Mitch cocked his head and nodded. “I'm afraid so,“ he said. “We need

MITCH CHESTERMITCH SAT DOWN heavily and examined the faces of the members of the Senate before him. They knew something was off in the balance of the kingdom. He cleared his throat and said, “What called for this meeting?““I think the meeting is long over due, Your Highness,“ Lane said in a small voice. Mitch looked around at the nods of agreement around the table.Mitch snorted.“We got the news that we had guests.“ a fat man muttered. “Guest. Warriors from another pack. As if the military in this kingdom is not enough.““So it means there is a heavy war coming,“ Sil said. She paused and continued, “A war that would mean we are accepting help from other inland packs.“A ripple of murmuring went round the pack again.“It is not just any inland pack,“ Mitch said. “They are from the red moon pack. Luna Anna's former pack.““Talking of Luna Anna,“ Sil cut in. “Where is she?“Mitch sighed. Truly, there are so many things that they need to address. Where would he even start? He asked him

He hated waiting, but that was what he had been forced to do for the past 20 hours. When he could not take it anymore, he went upstairs to Aiden's room, Lorna was still there. But up in Aiden's room was another waiting session as they waited for him to wake up.Lorna sat up when Mitch walked in. He looked around and noted that Elijah and Oliver were absent. “What of the boys?“ he asked.“They left an hour ago," she replied. “They had to eat and wash up, but I think they will be back here anytime soon.“Mitch nodded and sat down heavily with a sigh. He rubbed his eyes with the heel of his palms.“How did the meeting go?“ Lorna asked after a few seconds of silence.“As fine as it can get,“ he said.“You and Enrique did not clash heads?“ she asked. Everyone knew about the both of them.He shrugged, “We did. But we came to an agreement.“She smiled softly. “That is good

315ANNA KYLIN CHESTERI HAD NO idea how long I had been locked in the cell when the door opened. I sat up expecting it to be Vorenus; instead, it was the skinny, sick looking mistress of Vladimir. Her name was Janet or something like that. She stalked to the front of my cell and pouted at me. “So you are a woman… and pretty too.“ If that was meant to be a compliment, it did not sound so, as it was laced with venom.Gathering some energy, I stood up. I was taller than her and was pleased when she tilted her head to look up at me. She took an involuntary step backward. I smirked at her.“You are never going to take Vladimir from me,“ she blurted.“What?“ I gagged. Who was this dumb lady? “If you are thinking I am here of my own free will to snatch your undead boyfriend, you have the brain of a 15 year old high schooler.“She placed her hand on her hip and frowned. “And what? You have the brain of a mature woman…“ She frowned and leaned closer to me. “Wait a minute, don't I know you?”I

They could already sense that something was wrong.“Good,“ Mitch muttered and went to a buggy parked by the side.Draco gestured with his head to Alphonso, who immediately jumped into the driver's seat and started the car.“Take us to the palace,“ Mitch said.Alphonso pursed his lips and eased the car out of the snow. Mitch could feel Draco throw him some subtle glances as they made their way to the palace, but he chose not to say anything as he prepared his mind on how he was going to tell them everything.Half an hour later, they pulled into the front gates, and Mitch got out. Draco followed and Alphonso started to drive away but Mitch said, “Come with us, Alphon
