QUINN:
Seeing Anna seated beside Alpha Jackson made me almost throw up. I was disgusted by her mere presence, after seeing her act with one of the guests. I swore never to let that slide. The alpha must know what he was getting into. Immediately after the wedding ceremony and reception, we were tasked with cleaning the entire yard. In the course of doing that, we were asked to leave our positions and report to the alpha. Maybe he saw the act too and wanted to annul the wedding vows. Anxiously, I went with the other maids and was asked to stand before the alpha and some strange guests. Amid the strange people was the man I had seen earlier. He looked pissed but I didn't care. I was going to expose him and his accomplice. By the way, who was he to sit with the alpha? "Who did it?" Alpha Jackson asked. I was confused. He looked angry but it wasn't directed to his cheating wife and the strange man but it was directed at us. What did we do wrong? I looked at each of the girls but nobody seemed to understand what was going on. Jackson stood up furiously and got closer to us. "I asked a question and I will not entertain silence. I ask again, who did it?" Again, there was confusion. Who did what? "Who did what? We don't understand, alpha Jackson." I intervened because nobody was ready to answer something they didn't know about. "Why are you pretending, little girl?" The man's deep voice filled my ears. I turned to look at him but he was already up and approaching me. I shifted back a little, trying to piece together what was going on. "You slapped the Lycan king?" Alpha Jackson asked. He looked somewhat disappointed in me. "Why don't you ask him what he did?" I fired, facing the man. I didn't know he was the Lycan king but that didn't make what he did right. "What did I do?" He asked daringly. I looked unbelievably at him as he tried to deny my claims. His eyes turned golden yellow, as though daring me to speak up. His aura sent chills down my spine and for some time, I lost my voice. He seemed so dangerous. I felt if he looked at me for another minute, I would drop dead. "He and the Luna... They..." I stammered. All his looks were telling was 'Say anything and I will kill you instantly'. "They what, Quinn? Just because they were laughing and talking doesn't mean a thing. They're cousins. Why did you go as far as hitting him?" I knew Jackson wouldn't believe me. I had no evidence. Now, I had to take the blame for something I wanted to correct. "I'm sorry, alpha Jackson. I didn't know who he was at that time. Please, forgive me." I bowed a little. I could see the Luna's victorious smile. I glared at her angrily but there was nothing I could do. "Forgive you?" The lycan king chuckled deeply. Everywhere was silent and his laugh echoed. "I do not forgive, little girl." In a split second, he had become very serious and his voice deeper than before. "Until you die in my presence, I will never be at peace." He growled. "Alpha, that is going too far. Her crime is not worthy of death." Alpha Jackson intervened. "Are you questioning my authority, alpha Jackson?" The room was beginning to get quite tensed up. And it was all because of my mistake. I was just so mad that the Luna would think of committing such action against the alpha. I didn't mean for things to escalate like this. "No, alpha. I am not challenging your authority. Let's just think this through so we don't make mistakes." Jackson pleaded. The lycan king seemed like an unreasonable man and might stop at nothing until I was wiped off from this earth. He was a lunatic and I hated him. "Fine then. Let's talk better later tonight and we will decide what to do with her." "Leave." Alpha Jackson growled and we all left immediately. I was dismissed from my job with no pay after stressing myself the whole day attending to people. Well, it was what I deserved for jumping to conclusions without thinking of the consequences. And the hell were those two cousins? Was that the lie they told everyone or do cousins now sleep with each other? Either way, disgust washed through me. I couldn't sleep. The scene kept appearing in my mind. It was my first time witnessing such an event. I just wished I had my phone with me. They would have explained why cousins would be in that position. Early the next morning, I was summoned back to the pack house. This time, my father and step-sister were there. Alpha Jackson wore a look, though not of disappointment. I just couldn't tell what it was. We all watched as the lycan king descended the stairs in his morning outfit of a tight polo and sweatpants. I could already see Anna salivating while still clinging to Jackson. She was such a whore. "We've finally decided what your punishment would be, Quinn." Alpha Jackson addressed me. "What you did was a grave action. Jumping in conclusion and resorting to violence isn't the best way to handle matters." "What he's trying to say is, you're no longer going to die," Anna spoke. I heaved a sigh of relief, the same as my dad. "We decided that you will serve a ten-year punishment as his helper." "What?" I exclaimed as I stood up from where I sat. "Don't make matters worse, Quinn. Just sit down and listen." Alpha Jackson said softly. "No! I would rather die than live with him." I fired, not looking at the lycan king directly. In a split second, he grabbed my hair forcefully while staring into my eyes. "Sit!" He commanded and I reluctantly obeyed. "You brought this upon yourself, Quinn. Now, you have to follow it to the end." My father said. Wasn't he going to ask me what happened? Did he believe I would slap somebody just because they were talking and laughing? "I'll be waiting for you. Do not keep me waiting for more than five minutes." He grunted and walked out. My world was beginning to crumble right before my eyes. There was no escaping this fate. I have to live ten years with that monster. Who knows what he'd do to me? "Don't worry, Quinn. I'll talk to him to reduce the number of years, alright? Just try to do whatever he asks you to do without complaint. Do so and you might just be free as early as possible." Alpha Jackson advised. I nodded slowly while waiting for any more words from my dad. He looked at me and smiled. "It could have been anybody but you, my dear." He embraced me warmly. I was close to tears but I wasn't ready to show my weakness. "I'm sorry Dad, I disappointed you and the family." "No, you did what you felt was right. You were only looking out for the alpha and I appreciate your kindness. Be safe." He kissed my forehead and escorted me outside. "Please, take care of my daughter." He pleaded with the lycan king but the vile man only ignored him. "Don't worry, dad. I'll be fine." I told him. I boarded the car and waved goodbye to my family. I looked at Alpha Jackson and smiled weakly. He didn't deserve what was happening to him. I turned to the lycan king but he was on his phone. That reminded me that I didn't remember to bring mine. Hell, I didn't take anything with me. "I understand you're the alpha's fated mate and that was why he didn't want you to be killed. Nice guy..." It felt as though he was mocking the alpha. "What you should know is that I am not going to take care of you or anybody else in any way. Never have and never will. And if I have to f**k the brains out of you when I need to, I will." I shrank in my seat. "Besides, you belong to me now." A sly smile crossed his lips.QUINN: Thinking about my situation, I was moved to tears. I was disappointed in myself for not being strong enough to chest the result of my actions. I wished I could turn the hands of time. Maybe things would have turned out differently. I bent my head over my laps so he wouldn't see my tears. I wasn't the strong girl I portrayed myself to be. I was a weak, insignificant person. The car came to a stop abruptly, making me bump my head into the seat in front of me."What's happening?" The lycan king thundered and walked out of the car. I sat still inside the car, not knowing what was going on. The driver also walked out of the car in a bid to find out what was happening. The moment I heard gunshots, I shrieked and bent down. QUINN: I took slow steps, trailing behind the man who had come to get me. Each step made my stomach churn and my heart raced violently against my chest. I remembered clearly what the alpha had done to those men who attacked us earlier. He was ruthless and merciless. But then, it kind of served them right for ambushing us out of nowhere."Go in," The guy opened the door. With one last glance at him and a deep breath, I stepped into hell. I noticed that the room was wide with a king-sized bed in the middle and a lounge on the right side. To my left was a study corner which had about three shelves filled with books. My eyes darted to the dimly lit purple lights and the red curtains that moved slowly to the rhythm of the wind. It was quite a beautiful room, except for the black exotic paintings that hung on the wall and the weird artifacts that sat on one of the shelves."He always has a way of spoiling something beautiful..." I muttered as my eyes scanned the room. From the lounge area,
QUINN: I pretended as though I didn't hear what he said and just stood there, not looking back at him. My hands trembled as I stared at the floor."Didn't you hear what I just said?" He questioned."I'm sorry, sir, but I can't," I replied earnestly. My body had always been my pride and I promised never to give myself to anybody I was not married to.His sinister laughter filled my ears for a while, making me wonder what was funny in what I said."Alright then. Go to your room and change. I'd wait for you." He said and when I looked up at him, he relaxed on his seat and began to eat.I couldn't tell what was going through his mind. One moment he was acting like a lunatic and another minute, he was being sweet and understanding to an extent. He was a dangerous man and I couldn't afford to let my guard down."Do you want me to change my mind?" His voice dragged me from my distant thoughts and I immediately left his presence. I went back to the room slated to be mine and put on the dress
QUINN: "So glad you could join us, little girl. Come on in, we were just getting started." The alpha's tone was full of sarcasm. I was too scared to turn around but I knew how the alpha could be whenever he was being disobeyed. With every fiber of vigor in me, I slowly turned toward the ongoing scene. I almost puked seeing naked people, unashamed of their status. Were these people normal at all? I approached the alpha, my head down, not daring to look at his face. I stood beside the alpha who smelt of sweat and smoke. The duo in front didn't stop because of my presence. Instead, they even got to the main event. I couldn't watch so I just shut my eyes. "Open them, little girl. I want you to get a good view." His free hand snaked around my waist, causing me to jitter and gasp. Because the gown was very short, I felt his bare skin just underneath my butt cheek. "This will be you one day. Learn." 'Me?! Never!!' I shook my head involuntarily. As per his command, I watched as the two
Quinn: I was too embarrassed to go out again, not after the stunt those guys pulled. "Sexy warrior? Going for a ride? Is this place a sexual haven?" My mind wandered until an abrupt knock brought me back to reality. "Come out of there or I'm coming in. I don't care if you're naked." A male voice erupted in anger. I quickly folded my former clothes, placed them neatly in a corner, and opened the door. With my head down, I walked past the guy and back to the field. Alpha Nox said Blake would be my instructor. Now, who was Blake? I had never seen him before. Or maybe I have. Either way, I was too scared to ask anybody for help. They all seemed mean. I could tell from the snares that most of the ladies gave me. I was just hanging around while the others trained. "What do you think you're doing? Get over here!" The person who had shown me the changing room commanded and I reluctantly obeyed. Even over here, people step all over me and nobody does anything. I think that's a normal tre
Nox: I knew Quinn was weak but I didn't expect her to be that weak by finding running difficult. It was a good thing her sassy attitude complimented her weak status. She would have been a goner by now. I watched her collapse to the ground and stand up again. I was hoping she'd give up and vent but she continued with the task given to her. Not bad. As soon as my eyes dropped from her, they settled on two ladies who were pulling each other's hair. 'Interesting. I never get to watch my girls fight more often.' I smirked, an idea popping into my head. "Ladies," I stepped in between the two raging lions threatening to each other apart. "She started it. She stole my date to the spring festival." One of them vented, pointing maliciously at the other whose arms were folded."Your date? We never broke up, you dummy." Late bloomers... That was the kind of drama we got around their kind. The spring festival was more or less a semi-mating ceremony but it was also when we offered sacrifices
Nox: My brows creased into a frown. I was hoping the mission I had sent her on would last for the next few days. Well, nothing less was expected of the daughter of a strong alpha, strong enough to be the Lycan king even. To help my pack get to where it is, I made a contract with the alpha. He gave us the best of his soldiers and strengthened our defenses in return that if I didn't find my mate by ending of the year, she would become my Luna. Desperate, I accepted the offer. There she stood, with a smile on her face. "Welcome back," I coldly said, throwing my gloves aside and sitting behind my desk. At the same time, Blake and Zion walked in. Blake is my beta and Zion, my gamma. Both were my best friends when it came to having fun. "I need reports and Blake, please gather all the heads. Make sure Quinn is there." I ordered, Blake left and Stella only looked at me with suspicion. "What?" I raised a brow. "Who's Quinn?" She folded her hand underneath her breasts with creases brows
Quinn: As soon as I stepped outside the room, I released my breath. I didn't realize I had been holding it all that while. "He's scary," I muttered and was about to step back to my room but I stopped in my tracks when I saw her in front of me. His mate, Stella. I quickly bowed my head and wanted to walk away but she pulled me back. 'What now?' I rolled my eyes and looked her in the eye. "You're weak, weaker than most omegas. How did you meet the Alpha and why are you his personal maid?" She asked with fury in her eyes. Since she couldn't take out her anger on the alpha, she decided to take it out on me. "I'm talking to you, slave." She yelled and yanked my hair. "You don't keep quiet when I speak to you." She pulled hard on my hair, causing it to strain. "Stop..." I pleaded. In the middle of my pain, another hand grabbed her wrist, squeezing the life out of it until she eventually let go. I quickly hid behind the person while touching my aching brain. Quinn: Jenson led me to the Alpha's room. The walk seemed long and unending. Maybe it was because I realized the heftiness of the trouble I was in. Each thudding step and each excruciating heartbeat led me closer to my death. Jenson noticed how tense I was because I caught him stealing glances."Don't worry, it's not going to be that bad." He tried to cheer me up. "I hope." He muttered that last part, probably hoping I wouldn't have to hear it. He opened the door after knocking and ushered me in. Surprisingly, all the other heads were gathered. Something told me that something was wrong because they all had one look on their face. None of them even looked at the alpha. "Where is my meal?" The alpha's voice was cold, just like the first time I had met him. He sat in his swivel seat, not looking at anybody but the open window. "Master... I... " I looked to Stella, hoping she'd say something because it was all her fault, but the witch just stood there, motionless. "I was cleaning a
