The masked attacker removed his mask as soon as he was certain that his victim was unconscious. But he knew he better hurry up, because she would recover soon. He bent down to remove the expensive necklace she was wearing, which was adorned with precious gems and jewels.
He smirked as he admired it. The necklace shimmered as it reflected the lights. This was what he wanted. He could sell it and get a fortune from it. He was about to remove the necklace from her neck when she started to groan. His eyes widened. She was waking up! He snatched the necklace, breaking it’s chain in the process and dashed towards the door. He will have to escape before he got caught.
“Carol? Why are you.......?” Kat said as soon as she entered the restroom but trailed off as the attacker bumped into her as he ran outside. Kat’s ey
Evan’s fists balled in anger. So is that why they are torturing her? Because she refused to go against the law? Because she refused to give in and fought against evil? How despicable. He was not going to let them win. He felt an unknown desire to save her from their evil clutches. He felt anger bubbling inside his veins. He was on the verge of transforming but stopped himself from losing his control. The three lads listened to the bandits attentively. They seemed to be excited about something. One of them lifted up something that shimmered in the moonlight. “Look at this. The princess’s necklace. I left that bitch out cold on the floor. It was a good thing she decided to leave the ball room alone. I was wondering how I could trap that woman in my trap but she came on her own.” The other guy chuc
Narrator Evan and Nolan nodded. “Yes. We better carry her.” Nolan bent down and lifted her up and Evan bent down to help him. Evan held her legs. Suddenly, Evan seemed as if he was zoning out. He froze in his position when he held her legs. He just sat in his position, staring at the girl, who was slowly regaining her consciousness. “Come on man. Lift.” Nolan urged as he slipped his hand under her armpits. “Hands off her!” Evan growled, making Nolan and David look at him surprised. Nolan stepped back and stared at his friend, who was now caressing her tired face. He lovingly tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. David and Nolan looked at each other in confusion. “Don’t worry my beloved. We have taken care of e
The young lovers sprung apart and looked around to find Kat and Carol walking towards them. David and Nolan were right behind them. Elle started to panic and quickly removed herself from the awkward position she was in. She was blushing profusely when she realised that she was still straddling him when the members of the royal family arrived. And even the crown Princess was with them! Elle bowed her head in courtesy and kept her gaze fixed on her fiddling fingers. This most certainly was not the way she wanted her first meeting with them to be. Kat shook her head. “Pss pss brother. It is a good thing dad and uncle had to talk about some stuff to the guards. So we came in without them.” Kat grinned and Evan groaned. “Otherwise imagine their faces when they see you unable to let her go?” The rest of the gang tried their best to stifle their laughter while Evan
Narrator Days passed by and Elle blended in nicely with the royals. It was as if she was born to be in the palace, but ended up in the wrong place. She narrated how she hated what her family did even during her childhood. She hated that they chose to steal and live their lives like they did. She had always wished for a charming prince who would sweep her off her feet, which literally came true. Evan and Elle yet had to mate and Evan had to mark her. Otherwise the marking won’t be complete. The night Elle was allowed to leave the hospital, she was given a warm welcome at the palace. Everyone was happy and glad to have her in the family. Elle couldn’t contain her happiness. She was never treated like that back in her own home. She had always been the black sheep in the family. She had always voiced her opinions which never tallied with their ways. And h
David pov. I was really happy for Evan. It was great that his beloved was just as nice and kind hearted as he was. They truly were compatible with each other. Carol had started distancing herself from me, which I thought is the best for both of us. But without her to hang out, it was boring. My life at the palace was kind of scheduled. I would have been bored to death if not for Evan and Nolan. I got up one day and walked towards the gate of the palace. It was still day time, so the whole place was practically deserted, except for a few guards who had to guard the palace. It has been a long time since I went out for a run. Perhaps today I should do that. I walked towards the side door since the main gate would be locked at this time of the day and stepped outside. The hot afternoon sun heat
Carol pov. Bolting towards my room, I wished that I had better control over my tongue. I almost told him everything I saw in my dream. Yes it was worrying to see him morph into something else but what happened after and before that must stay a secret. I slammed the door to my room shut and covered my face. My racing heart and uneven breaths didn’t make it any easier for me. Slowly and steadily, I slid down the door, my face still covered with my hands. Angry tears started to spill from my eyes . Clenching my hair in frustration, I screamed in to my knees, as I pressed my face against the fabric of my leggings. Stupid emotions. Stupid feelings. They are now messing up my dreams. I never thought that it could happen to me. I never thought I would feel so much for someone before I found my beloved. Why did my life have to be so messed up? I hate it. My mind drifted back t
Carol pov. I trained like I never did and ignored David for most of the time. I hated it. I hated ignoring him. My heart ached but I must force myself to forget these pointless emotions. I just had to. It was a good thing that David had bonded with Nolan and Evan. And I was grateful for Kat and Elle. At least both of us had someone else to hangout with. When it was time for Mrs. Cosmo’s class, David sat in his regular spot while I sat on mine. Kat and the others wouldn’t attend this class. Which meant I didn’t have a choice except to face him. At least Mrs. Cosmo was strict enough to forbid us from engaging with each other in any kind of conversation. Mrs. Cosmo’s dull and monotonous voice made me feel just half-present in the class. The open window where I caught a glimpse of the dreamy night sky was way interesting. How would it feel to stroll outside under the stars
Narrator It was her birth week. The whole palace was preparing for the big day. Everyone in the whole kingdom was excited about it. After all, it is something big when the heir to the throne turns eighteen. Then, some of the royal duties and secrets will be shared with her. She will be slowly taking over the throne and by the time she turns 20, she would be ready to be crowned as queen. The other thing is, she will be hopefully finding a loved one, which is a big deal for them. The whole kingdom was preparing for that. Everyone was trying to do something and be part of the huge day. Well, everyone except Carol. She wished she could make the time stop. She hoped that she could plead with her dad so that she could skip the ceremony and choose not to find her destined mate. She was not ready to find him. She didn’t want to be prepared. She wanted to be able to choose. But she k
Narrator. King Richard found himself on a strange land. There was greenery everywhere. However, he was certain that this wasn’t the forest that he grew up in. Definitely not the place where his clan was located. He started to look around for anything interesting. “Richard!” That voice shocked him beyond words. His heart skipped a beat as his breathing hitched. Can it be? Gasping, he turned in the direction of the voice, searching desperately for the owner of the voice. “Maria?” He called out hopefully. Is it possible that she was back? “Hey.” The voice called out once again. And this time, Richard found himself frozen on his spot. Slowly, a smile spread on his face. There,
King Richard pov. “Attention everyone! Princess Carol and Prince David!” The announcer announced into the microphone. Making all the guests turn towards the stage where I was waiting for them to come and sit on the throne. I smiled when I saw my little girl walk towards the stage, hand in hand with her beloved. Both of them, held their heads up high, their faces void of any emotions, though I knew that in their hearts, their feelings would be going haywire. After all, they were going to become the next power couple of the millennium. It meant that they would be the most powerful with the opal at their service, however, it also meant their lives would be filled with trials and hardships. Perhaps, lots and lots of wars and enemies too. But I knew they would make it t
Narrator By the time everything had settled and the civilians retreated back to their homes, it was almost sunrise, so they decided to stay in the pack house for the day. Nolan continued to think about Kat. Today was her birthday. And it was when she was supposed to find her beloved. However, that will have to wait. He couldn’t wait to touch her so that she would finally realise that he was the one she had been waiting for. He just couldn’t wait to go back. A group of wolves came to meet David, asking him to be their alpha. But David denied. He no longer had the desire to be their alpha. He wanted to be with Carol. The king cleared his throat, gaining their attention. “Actually you and Carol will be crowned king and queen of th
Narrator David walked in slowly, looking around the place he one lived in. The place that he grew up in. The place was still the same. The pack house was a huge place, consisting of a grand room and several rooms on each floor of the house. The kitchen and the living room would be on the ground floor. While the first floor consisted of the beta’s quarters, one part of it was used by the elders. The second floor had the high elder’s room and the top floor was specially for the alpha and Luna. A feeling of nostalgia washed over David as he ascended the grand staircase which was covered in red carpet. This was the same set of stairs he used to run up and down during his childhood. He used to play in the hallway with Cade, who used to be his best friend then. A sad smile curved his lips when remembered those days. When he reac
David pov “David!” I heard a voice that I thought I would never hear again. My gaze rested on Carol, my mate. The one who carried my mark. A small smile curved my lips as I gazed deep into her green orbs. My heart palpitated as our gazes met. Yes. This girl means the whole world to me now. She was the one who healed my broken heart. She was The one who showed me that I too was worthy of love. I smiled at her. However, her eyebrows were knitted in a deep frown. I knew she was looking at Hailey. “Who is that?” she questioned. I sighed and turned around. Hailey was staring at me with sad eyes. Before I could say anything, she ran up to me and halted right in front of me.
Narrator Women and children started to run around, in fear. The elders and the warriors were quick to gather in front of the pack house. Cade was already barking away orders. Hailey too was trying her best to calm the elders and children down and lead them towards the basement of the pack house, where they would be the safest. Elder Barron too had to join the rest of the elders. Gerald also decided to help them. He now could use his powers to defend his pack. The opal will have to wait. Soon, the huge army of vampires invaded the pack, slashing their claws and crushing the bones of whoever attacked them. The strength of vampires were certainly not a match for the werewolves. The whole place was soon a blood bath and the warriors who attacked them were easily defeated. It was clear that the vampires were stronger than the werewolves, even in their wolf form. Cade fought with the elders, his father by his side. Gerald made sure that he had formed a prot

Narrator David stormed all the way back to the palace. The news he had just heard was just too much for him. He couldn’t believe that the one who he thought he could trust had actually stabbed him in the back. “David! Wait up!” King Richard gasped as he ran after David. Taking deep breaths, David tried to calm himself down. He had to keep himself under control. He couldn’t lose it just because he found out the truth which was hidden from him the whole time. He turned around slowly and faced the mighty king. “Your beta?” he asked. “Yes. Your highness. My best friend’s father was my beta the whole time until Cade turned eighteen. He was my father’s beta too. I thought he was true and loyal to the pack the entire time. I had trusted
Narrator In the pack, Hailey tried to carry on with her Luna duties. But she found it hard and boring. She soon started to lag behind her work and started to spend most of the time locked away in her room. She didn’t want to talk to anyone, she even stopped having her weekly gatherings with her closest friends or going shopping with them – something she really enjoyed. She rarely got out of the room, even to have food. She would rather order the food to be brought to her room. Literally, she started to avoid meeting others and started to live in solitude in her room. Cade continued to come home late and avoid talking with Hailey. Hailey would often stay awake for him, regardless of how late he came to sleep, but it didn’t make any difference for him. He would just say nothing and go to sleep and then wake up the next day to start his work. Hailey would cry to sleep every nig
