“Thank you, Mother, for the brunch and for the honors of performing, but about the performance…..”

She patted my hair as she shook her head. “Cora, this is the fourth time you’re trying to change my mind about you doing it, but no. I’ve checked and I’ve seen that you’re the best person to do it. I trust you, no one can do it better than you.” She told me, and I could feel tears streaming down my cheeks as I stared at her.
