I stared at the maids as they shivered in fear, and with the way Cora was staring at all of them, I knew that something seemed to be very wrong.

“I asked something, didn’t I? Who has been making the alpha’s food?” He asked again, and I moved the opening a little more so that I could see what was going on.

I turned, wanting to make sure no one was staring at me, and when I was sure that no one was looking at me, I kept on looking into the room.

“I’m going to ask this one last time, and if I don’t get an answer, I’ll make sure to end every single one of you. Who has been making the alpha’s food?” The beta asked again, but before he could say anything else, a maid stepped forward.

“I have, Beta.” A maid stepped forward, and the moment she did, the beta took out his sword.

“On your knees, now.” He said, and the moment she fell to her knees, took his sword as he placed it to her neck.
