I slowly opened the door, peeking through it to see who could’ve been at it, but I didn’t see anyone.

“Who is it?” The beta asked me, and I turned to him, shaking my head.

“I didn’t see anyone.” I told him, locking the door behind me as I ran my fingers through my hair.

“So, as I was saying. Alpha Damain never eats at meetings, so if he has been poisoned, it has to be from the food he eats at this pack.” He told me, and I swallowed as I rubbed my head slowly.

Gosh, in as much as I was trying to ignore the pain I was feeling in my head, I couldn’t. It hurt so much and I couldn’t possibly ignore it, and now, the pain in my feet. Gosh, everything just so hurt so much, and they definitely chose the wrong time to come to play, now that alpha Leonardo was sick and my wolf was this worried.

As the beta spoke, I couldn’t do anything but nod. I kept nodding to everything he said even though I couldn’t quite concentrate, and it wasn’t until he snapped his fingers in my face that I shook my head
