ALEXANDER VON SINCLAIR

HE HAD NO idea why he was cutting through the woods. His beast seemed to be controlling him without actually controlling him. His eyes glowed amber in the stark darkness, and the night was silent, but he felt very comfortable. After all, as a Lycan, this was his natural habitat – in the wild, alone, and most likely hunting prey, which could be another animal… or a human.

He suddenly burst through a thick shroud of thorny bushes and came upon a scene that made his blood boil with rage. A young woman was on the floor, surrounded by about 4 men; he could not count them as his eyes were blinded with bloodlust.

He punched the man on top of the woman; his hand went through and gripped the man's still beating heart. He squeezed and pulled it out as the man slumped forward, falling heavily on the woman beneath him.

“Werewolves,” he growled as the stench of the blood hit his nostrils.

Then Alex swung around and caught the man closest to him by the neck, and with a small flick of his wrist, the resounding snap of bones breaking echoed in the forest as the man's neck was broken. He slammed into the third werewolf as the last one scrambled away, fear written all over his face.

Alex wanted to chase the man down, but his gaze was drawn to the petite figure on the floor as she struggled to pull herself from under her assailants. She stood up, gripping her clothes tightly around her in a bid to retain some of her dignity.

He cocked his head as he regarded this strange lady. She was not a werewolf; she did not have the aura normally associated with them. But she was not human either. Nevertheless, she had the faint scent of a pack. So she had most likely come from one; maybe she was lost… or she ran away. She had a story to tell, and he was curious about her defiant look as she met his eyes briefly before she looked away.

“Tie her up and bring her along,” He said as he turned to walk away. Joram nodded once and went up to the lady.

As Alex walked away, he noticed the small rustle in the bushes around, and suddenly, he was surrounded by almost a dozen people. He groaned softly and turned to look at Joram. “I told you not to.” He said.

Joram snorted as he tested the knot on the girl’s hands. “They would have known on their own.” He said. “The cabin is on the borders of the clan’s territory. They knew the second you walked in.”

Alex looked around at his people. People he had not seen in almost a century, but their loyalty remained unwavering.

They all went down on one knee in reverence and bowed their heads.

Alex groaned again. “I do not like dealing with this. I am not a god to them. Why do they treat me like that? All this bowing and kneeling down shit really pisses me off.” He muttered to his brother. "Stand!" he commanded, and they obeyed.

Joram smirked and tugged on the rope, pulling the girl forward. “They see you as their savior,” he replied. He stroked his chin as he looked at their prisoner. “I wonder who she is… and what are you going to do with this one?” He asked, handing the end of the rope to one of the men nearby.

Alex looked at her, feeling a strange surge of jealousy as the rope was handed to one of the warriors. He wanted to snatch the rope and be the only one that controlled her.

“Alek…” Joram's voice cut into his thoughts again.

“Yeah?” Alex shook his head. “Oh, yeah, the girl…”

“Yes, the girl. You don’t have many options,” Joram muttered. “You cannot take her to the city. There are too many prying human eyes and control by the police. They might want to start an investigation and maybe even charge you with kidnapping.”

Alex snorted. “I would like to see them try.” He looked around again. “But you are right. Not much options,” he muttered. “We will take her to the clan territory, question her, and then I will know what to do next.”

Joram smiled. “You are coming to the clan… after all these years.”

“That is what you wanted, wasn’t it?” Alex asked.

Joram nodded and said, “Keep an open mind, though. Some things have changed. Things are not exactly how you left them.”

“We will see about that,” Alex replied, starting to walk forward. He glanced back and saw the girl being pulled forward roughly, and she stumbled.

Clenching his jaw, he looked ahead. He had just lied to his brother. He knew exactly what he wanted to do with the girl, and that would ease the angry beast within him. He wanted to bury his cock deep inside her. He was going to make her his.

Joram must have sensed his thoughts because he placed a hand on Alex’s shoulder and said, “Easy, brother. Easy.”

Alex shrugged the hand away as they marched towards the clan’s territory.
