248 : Into The Den

ELIJAH

I feel a protective instinct surge within me, a desire to shield them from harm. The Ashwalker wolves are supposed to be my enemies. But at this moment, I see them as more than that.

I realize it. This was what I felt when I saw those Ashwalkers being attacked. I think I heard one of their voices in my head, crying for help.

The next morning, I feel lightheaded but strangely focused. The dream, or whatever it was, is still fresh in my mind and the emotions I felt engraved in my soul.

“Elijah,” Rena’s soft voice diverts my attention and I look up from my phone to see her apply her lipstick. The sunlight streaming through the window falls on her long hair that she has kept down. She is always beautiful and the more I see her, the more I feel that I can’t get enough.

She turns towards me and grabs her bag. “I’m leaving. See you in the evening.” She mutters and I get up from the chair.
