Leaving the tunnel did little to ease my anxiety. I immediately called for my personal guard, instructing him to handle the other guards without mercy. "If anything goes wrong, your life will be on the line," I warned.

"My lady, what is happening? You don't seem alright," he asked, concerned.

"Didn't you hear what I just said? I mean every word, make sure you complete the assignment without fail," I shouted.

He escorted me to my chamber, trying to be intimate as usual. "Listen, you're stressed. Let me help you relax," he suggested.
