Mira's Pov

After he gave the order, things finally calmed down. However, it pained me to see him so angry with our actions.

Despite the pain from my injuries, I gathered my strength to try and stand up. Unfortunately, my body wouldn't cooperate, weighed down by the pain and wounds. I couldn't even get close to him.

He stepped back and observed me, nodding his head. His gaze was icy, almost as if he was saying, "Look at yourself." I hoped that I hadn't made the situation worse.

Deep within me, I whispered, "I'm sorry," apologizing with my eyes. I felt like a lost soul, hoping that there wouldn't be any further complications.

"Please don't misunderstand this," I prayed silently.

Alpha Roland rushed towards me, pulling me up from the ground. He could sense my struggle. There was a coldness in his eyes that showed his disappointment. I could only hope that he understood the circumstances, considering I had always remained silent and watched them mistreat me.
