Danny and I looked at each other, not expecting that from the elders.

"I told you all that my mate is not ready yet. I will only announce her when she is ready so you don't have to tell me when to do so." I said. I wouldn't have them complicate the issue more.

"No one has to know about this. We will tell everyone that the news about Danny's mate is just a rumor. That is it and nothing more.Then, no one will have to say anything." I told them and stood up. They all stood up with their head bowed. "This is the last time this topic will be brought up again. I hope everyone hears this." I said and left with Danny walking behind me.

"Do you think that will stop this news from spreading further?" he asked me.

I stopped walking and sighed, "I don't know too, but it should be able to make the rumors stop for now."

"What about Riley? What will you do about her?"
