DAMIEN'S POV

We had arrived in the human's territory, and I could feel all connections with my pack cut off as I and Amanda make out way across the streets, by passing people casually, blending in without letting anyone recognize us.

I pulled my phone out my pockets while we enter a coffee shop to get some to drink. I could feel my eyes fucking shutting down and it occurred to me that for some days I hadn't slept well, and the night I had my chance to fall asleep, this happened.

Besides, I needed to call my Beta and ask to speak with Amaira. We had reached the Street of Audrey's supposed boyfriend, but we didn't seem to remember his exact location.

So just to be sure, I decided to call her.

As we sat down, we made our orders, actually Amanda made the orders while I called my Beta. I just couldn't wait to hear my mate's voice as well. It made my heart swell hearing her sound so worried about Audrey despite everything she had gone through in her hands.
