Bang! Bang! Bang!
My heart beat grew louder and I felt all the blood rush up to my face as I crawled underneath the staircase before settling at the farthest corner, knees raised to my chin as I hugged myself tight.
I hear the shrill scream of my own mother, and I tremble with tears running down my face when I realize the hunters had caught her.
This was really real.
It wasn't a nightmare as I hoped it would be.
My parents, my sisters, they were all gone. Forever. And I was never going to see their smiling faces again.
"He said there were three of them. Where's the third girl."
I shake in my spot, my face beaded with sweat, trickling down my face, my almond shaped eyes lowered, closed as I prayed to the moon goddess to shield me from the eyes of these horrifying men.
They scatter and break several things, but I place my hand over my mouth, stealing my breath as I wait for them to leave.
Hunters and werewolves have and always will be enemies from the nick of time till now. We never got along, and we stayed in our territories and minded our business, only lashing out if we crossed paths.
But this was just something else. My father was Alpha Drago of Red Moon's pack, and just when he's training me on how to be an Alpha since I was going to be the next Alpha in line, these motherfuckers actually barge into my home and blow my dad's head off before killing the rest of my family.
I feel my canniness aching to pop out and the urge to go out there, shift and year every single one of them apart is quite difficult not to imagine.
But I realized there are more than ten men out there, and I was no match for them. I was barely 18 even, and point of correction, I didn't have my wolf. I was late so I can partly shift.
After a while, and to my relief I think they got tired because they later left, but just to be sure and out of caution, I stayed there for like twenty minutes, soaking in the fact that I'm all alone and the only survivor of this hellhole Alpha family.
As I creeped out from under the stairs, tears run down my cheeks in realizing that truly, I was really alone. The smell of blood and the sight of my family's disembodied body parts are horrifying and I find myself screaming as I run out of there.
I don't know how they did it or who planned this, but whatever they did plan, they planned it really well, because they didn't just raid my home, they wiped out my entire pack and took everyone's life.
I stand there in the midst of burnt down houses and the stench of blood and sulphur and realize that I'm not the only survivor of my family.
I'm the only survivor of my pack.
*
I'm lost, I don't know where to start, and I think I'm posting, but at least I've done something. I finally left my pack, and decided to find solace in another and probably get them to help me get my revenge on those assholes that wiped my pack dry.
My pack was really small, and I doubted that anyone would know I was an Alpha's daughter, and I was right.
They didn't give me that warm welcome I was hoping for and they definitely made me feel like an outcast when the Alpha of the pack I was in learnt what happened to my pack.
"Who do you say you are again?"
"I'm Amaira. Daughter of Alpha Drago of Red Moon's pack."
"Red Moon's? Never heard something like that?"
I roll my eyes as I silently glare at the Alpha who wasn't acknowledging me but sorting through files on his desk.
"It's really small... "
"Well, welcome to our pack, Amaira. You can start off in the kitchen, and you can inform Omegas to get you a room in the servant quarters."
I gave him a blank stare like I was seeing for the first time and I wasn't sure what his intentions were.
"What?"
He raised his eyes to scrutinize me like I was some insect.
"Didn't you hear me?"
"I believe there must be a misunderstanding somewhere. I'm an Alpha's daughter."
"Well, with your entire pack wiped out of existence, you're pretty much a nobody, possibly a rogue. We'll start the necessary rites initiating you to be one of us, but for now, you can start helping around."
"But... "
"Amaira if you don't concede to this, then you can leave. It's better you do now that I haven't converted you to one of us, because if I do, you can't change your mind anymore."
I gulp slowly as I leave the office to clear my head, wondering what I was going to do.
I had no one else to help me or let me in, considering most packs thought I was just a rogue. But the one pack that finally accepts me lowers my status to that of an Omega. How truly demeaning.
I consider changing my mind and leaving. Going out into the rogue's land isn't that bad, right?
How could you even think of something like that Amaira. The rogues will sniff your scent out and kill you when they realize you have Alpha's blood running through your veins.
I didn't realize that while in deep thoughts, I had gone past the Alpha's mansion, towards the gardens that spread deep into an open forest.
I let the wind caress my hair and skin as I drop to a log of wood to sit down, raking my fingers through my hair when I suddenly freeze on seeing and hearing something rustling in the bushes.
Abruptly standing up, I fell at my effort and scrambled back.
Was it another hunter who probably followed me here to finish me off?
Or a rogue?
AMAIRA Bang! Bang! I scream as I hug my head, hearing the hunter laugh with mirth and humor as he scared me a little by blasting the log of wood beside me with his gun. He laughs, and I tremble as I sit up and stare nervously at him. He's staring down at me like I'm a delicacy, and I feel disgusted as his eyes rake over me. "You thought you could escape us?" He asked and I began shaking my head quickly, praying silently that he doesn't kill me.One trigger and that was it. "Get up." He suddenly ordered and with shaky legs, I raised myself up, my eyes brimming with tears as he approached me and yanked my face up to meet with him, pulling hard at my scalp. "The others wanted to make sure I kill you like I did to the rest of your family, but it wouldn't hurt to hide the fact that I had some fun with you before killing you off." I growl and rake at his hand in an attempt to escape, but he slaps me heavily, the butt of the gun tearing through my gum and I fall to the ground again, b
Three years later) AMAIRA Bang! I drop to my knees on feeling my Luna's hand connect with the side of my cheeks, trembling as I grab my sore cheeks, tears running down my face. "You're a mistake... a nobody... an abomination, and yet you can't even do anything right, can you?" My heart clenches in pain at each hurtful word she throws at me and I glance down, shaking badly, waiting as she stalks off before the kitchen shuts with a loud noise. It was 12:00am midnight, and as I lay on the cold kitchen floor, alone and shivering, recountering how my life has turned to this. Barely nine years, I lost my family to rogues, and one thing led to another, and I was led here to Moon Claw's pack, expecting loving and caring people like my family, but Instead, I was tossed aside and given the status of an Omega. I was mistreated, spat on, beaten and hit, and it only grew worse when at 12 I was unable to shift. I prayed to the Moon goddess, hoping my situation did change, and I'd get to liv
AMAIRA I could feel my heart pound like crazy as I shuffled my feet towards the area where the Alpha sat, hearing Audrey and her friends chuckle ridiculously to themselves. As I walked close, I prayed. This was probably the last time I was going to be breathing again, because the Alpha would probably think of me as a joke and rip me into pieces, but again I couldn't go against the Alpha's daughter's orders and just had to go along with this. I spotted several women pausing on the dance floor to turn to me as I got close to where the Alpha sat. My heart pulse quickened and my throat ran dry hearing their hushed whispers as I walked past them. 'Where does she think she's going?' 'I'm not sure. But she's seeking death if she thinks she can seduce the Alpha.' 'Seduce the Alpha. Haha. She's just a common, lowly Omega. She's stupid if she thinks the Alpha will be interested in her kind.' To worsen the situation, Alpha Damien had long paused his discussion with his Beta, Raiden, to st
AMAIRA "A- Alpha." I gasped when his huge frame almost crushed mine as he towered above me on the bed. He suddenly grabbed my chin and forced me to glance up so that our eyes met together and I couldn't look away because he was holding me. I could feel his knee holding me down and another between my thighs, sending a throbbing sensational feelings up my legs. I felt hot and undeniably uncomfortable, but I couldn't escape his grip even after struggling."When we are alone, you can call me Damien." "I am nothing but a lowly servant. I can't call you by your name." I said pleadingly and he cocked a brow. "You didn't consider your status when you asked me to dance." I was considering telling him I was dared to, but I didn't know how he'd react to it so I just blankly stared at him. "What is your name and whose daughter are you?" "I'm Amaira," My voice was shaky as I answered him. "I'm the personal slave of Miss Audrey, daughter of the Alpha of Moon Claw's pack. I don't have a fam
DAMIEN I wasn't in compliance with the party the elders were planning to set me up with my mate, but I did let them for the sake of peace in my pack. If they wanted to so badly find me a mate, then let them. I was sitting there, watching as women of all sizes and influential families trooped in dressed to kill. I admit they were beautiful and lavishly dressed, but I was no mood to be swoon over them. I only saw them as tools of pleasure, but tonight I was going to find my mate and I hoped this party was not in vain. We've invited the entire packs here and it's late into the party and I haven't found 'the one'. What's more amusing is that despite the women are all there staring at me like they wanted to hook up with me right there on the dance floor, no one was bold enough to approach me. I know I have a reputation as the most ruthless and aggressive Alpha alive, but how was I supposed to consider making anyone woman here my Luna if they were scared of me?As I scanned the area,
AMAIRA I woke up with a sore feeling between my legs as I groggily open my eyes, and I suddenly gasp on seeing the patch of blood on the bed, and I'm reminded of what I did last night with Alpha. Oh no. It's morning. I was so dead. I was so dead. I kept chanting to myself that Alpha Henry was going to kill me for not arriving home with his daughter. I just hoped Audrey was okay. How could I be so careless as to offer myself to the Alpha? I contemplated on leaving quickly but I decided to take a bath and scrub myself clean of the Alpha's scent because the last thing I'd want anyone to know is that I rolled around in the sheets with the Alpha of Silver fur's pack. When I step out dressed in a robe, I grimace at the shredded clothes on the floor, wondering what else I'm going to wear when the door opened up and I see an Omega bearing a handful of clothes. "The Alpha demands your prescence in the dining room after you must have gotten dressed. I'll take you there." I stared at th
AMAIRA I grunted in pain as the men simultaneously carried me off to the dungeon, digging their fingers into my arm. I knew they loved this. They loved torturing me, loved seeing me in pain because they knew they could hurt me and I wasn't capable of fighting back, I wasn't capable of defending myself or standing up to them. I was a nobody. I groaned in pain as they mercilessly threw me into the dungeon and I landed face down on the cold ground. After the clanging of chains as they locked me in, they walk away, chuckling with mirth, and I just lay weakly on the floor, more bothered about the sore wound in my mouth causing the insides of my cheeks to burn than the growling feeling if hunger in my stomach. If it were anyone else, I'd have gladly eaten breakfast with Damien, but he was a goddamn Alpha, and I wasn't stupid enough to share the same place he ate in. "He is your mate." I hear a voice in my head. Normally, I'd be excited that I could finally talk to my wolf, and that
AMAIRA"Shut the door when you come in." I hear her cold voice as I limp in, and I shudder before shutting the door closed behind me. "Does it hurt?" She asked with a mocking smile as she drank some expensive wine from a wine glass, her legs crossed over the bed. "No, Luna Tessa." I solemnly shake my head, keeping my head lowered to the ground, not daring to look her In the eyes. "Well, have a sit... we've got all night to talk," I gulp. "I hear you were with Alpha Damien last night." I trembled where I stood, not daring to get too comfortable with the Luna by sitting before her. "I- It's not like that Luna Tessa." I tried to explain, but I found myself tongue tied. How could I possibly expose her daughter's intentions to humiliate me yesterday by asking me to flirt with the Alpha? If this news get to Alpha Henry, her father, he would kill her, because the greedy Alpha wanted to build meaning connections with Alpha Aiden by offering his daughter to him. The Luna suddenly got up
WRITERS POVThe women were welcomed at the training field because Alpha Damien have already prepared their minds that women that are interested will be allowed to fight.Though the women slowed them down a bit for the first two days that they joined the training because it was there first time. The men too, increased because all the new members of Silver Fur's Park that are interested in fighting for the glory of the Park have joined due to what Amaira said the first day she came to the training field.Amaira took it upon herself to give the women extra training and she was impressed at the rate at which they were catching up. Even the men soldiers were impressed at the rate at which the women are going. They have been able to produce few women that are stronger than some men.The seven days they had, to train for the war was the most challenging days of their lives, most especially the women soldiers. Day and night passed and here comes the battle day.The whole of Silver Fur's Park
WRITERS POVAmaira woke up and saw that Damien had ordered a well prepared meat for both of them with enough drinks. "You are awake my darling. I have ordered for all we will need tonight. So there won't be a need for you to do anything today again." Damien explained to her."No, I need to check on my kids. They might need something and I need to say goodnight to them." She complained."Everything has been sorted out my darling. I knew you were going to say that, so I went to them and told them their mother will not be able to see them tonight. And they both asked me, looking worried." He paused to observe Amaira too. She was already emotional. She loves her kids so much."You know what darling, I am so grateful for the love you built amongst us all. It is so visible. Look at you getting emotional just because you will not see them tonight." He teased her and she smiled. She was still expecting him to continue what he was saying and tell her the excuse he gave her kids but he purpose
WRITERS POVMoon Claws ParkTheir Alpha walked into their throne room fool of elders waiting for him. He was giving a standing ovation. He sat comfortably on his throne while they treat the topic for that day which is conquering the Silver Fur's Park. "I heard the Silver Fur's Park Alpha brought in the Rogue's in to his Park. Is he that frustrated. I like the fact that he already admits that he will lose because if not he would not have taken such step." Their Alpha said."Yes my Alpha that Park is a mess now. I wonder what came over them that made them loose so much power. They were regarded as the strongest and they are the most respected for that." An elder said with concern." That is not our concern because it is an opportunity for us to become the strongest. Don't we deserve to be respected as well. I feel like wiping them out this minute so that it will be in record that we wiped their so called great Silver Fur's Park off the land. Everyone will be scared of us and they would
DAMIEN'S POVI woke up very early despite the fact that we had a fiest but I couldn't sleep when I have a war to face. I stood up quietly so that I won't wake Amaira up. I want her to rest well.I went to the bathroom and showered. In few minutes I was done dressing up. I planted a kiss and stepped out of my chambers. I went directly to Raiden's chambers and knocked on his door. He asked who it was and when he heard my voice he rushed out. He asked me if there was any problem and I answered him there was none, that we just needed to attend to so many things. He asked me to come in so that he will shower but I told him I will around, when he is through he should come searching for me. I left his entrance, I went to the doors of the soldiers we have in the park and woke them up. They came out to me as we picked more people round due to the soldiers we have lost. When we were done selecting I asked them to go clean up, I will see them later.I walked with Raiden who met me when I firs
AMAIRA'S POVI woke up this beautiful morning and I found out that Alpha Damien was already out. I know very well that this few days will be for preparation of the upcoming war. He is going to be busy. This is the first night I had without my prince and princess around me since since we got back Silver Fur's Park. Atimes, a mother needs to rest from stress that comes from kids. Though I can't deny the fact that I miss their presence.I stood up and watched the whole of Silver Fur's Park from the window but I did not have enough of it. I was not sertisfied. I decided I was going to have a stroll round the Park. That way I would be able to check on my people and see how they are coping with their new environment. I stepped into the bathroom and took my time under the shower. I enjoyed myself that I did not want to step out of the shower. I dried myself and looked at myself in the mirror. It seems to me that my beauty is coming out the more. I smiled at my new self and life. Just then
WRITERS POVThe two men went separate ways to their chambers so that they could prepare for the first. Raiden was thinking of what to wear when he remembered that he now has a woman whom he trusts would have selected something beautiful for him or they select it together.Dina moved into his chambers fully after the seventh day's sacrifice. Raiden asked her to move in since he already has his Alpha's blessings. He recalled how the last night went after the seventh day's sacrifice. She just moved into his chambers but she was a little bit shy. Yes they are friends but it is a different thing to be someone's friend and a different thing to be the person's lover. Most especially when this is about the brave, strong, simple and no-nonsense person.Dina sat quietly as Raiden admired her. She is indeed beautiful. He sat beside her and looked into her eyes."Who would have thought you would be my mate? It was a shock at first but I now see it as a blessing from the moon goddess. I am mated w
WRITERS POVThe night of the seventh sacrifice was a turn around for them because that night marks the day of a new beginning in everyone's life. They were supposed to celebrate over night that day but they had to consider those that just arrived. They are tired. They need to rest so they all agreed on re-installing Damien as the Alpha that he is, the next day and celebrate over night. They were only able to dance a little before the party was called off for everyone to rest. The next morning, Damien woke up early and seeing that his family are still with him but sleeping seems like a dream. He feels fulfilled as a responsible family man. He went to the window and looked out at his people. He was happy the former rogues are now blending to their new environment. They all seems to feel at home. Amaira woke up and looked around. She saw her kids sleeping while Damien was standing at the window. She stood up and walked to him and held him from the back. He smiled. He felt like he was
DAMIEN'S POVThe joy in me was unmeasurable as I matched with my family and my new people who believed in me and my Luna. It was when we walked past the boundary that I saw the reality in the mission and vision I and my Luna had. Though it was her idea and I later agreed to it after being a little reluctant. She gave another reason why moving back to the Pack with the rogues will benefit me and everyone in Silver Fur's Park. She reminded me that I have lost so many soldiers. When the rogues join us, they will join us in the war as well.I was against it at first, because I was concerned about what the other Parks would say about my Park but she said I was feeling that way because of the thought I have about the rogues. She explained that she had also hated them and thought they were bad people while she was way younger." Do not see them as rogues. See them as who they are. They are good people. You should have seen that during your stay here. By the way, the more reason why we shoul
Writer's POV He begins to pace up and down in his chambers listening attentively to his surroundings. His favorite servant, who is his friend, knocked and told her to come in. She brought his breakfast. She noticed that he was not calm so she dropped his food on the table and went back to him. She observed him and laughed to draw his attention back to the present life because he seems to be lost in thought. He looked at her angrily and wondered why she was laughing. He thought to himself that if she wasn't his friend he would have slapped her. "What was that all about? Do I look like a fool to you or does everything look like a joke to you? How dare you laugh at me?" He asked in anger. She quickly knelt down and bowed as she began to shake because of his harsh words. "I am sorry master. I dare not try such a thing again in my life. It was a mistake my Lord." She pleaded and continued to shake out of fear of what he could do to her. He looked at how she was shaking on the floor and
