Lily's POV 

“I will give you a last chance of fucking me, not of proving yourself as my Luna because you've failed in this for three whole years. Isn't it obvious to you that you can't achieve in one day what you couldn't achieve in three good years?” His voice sounded mocking but I didn't mind. I knew what I was after, which was a ‘Yes’ from him. 

“I know, Alpha.” I bowed, pulling in a submissive mode even when he had never expected this from me, we were just loving couples that respected each other to the core. 

“--But I can prove to you that a miracle can happen in a day.” I was firm and confident in my tone. My heart was breaking into two but still I was unwavering in my attempt to convince him. I guessed this made him compromise. The moment he extended his hand to me and relaxed the muscles of his face, I knew something good was going to come up. 

“Lily, I can assure you of a last sex play with me. I'll satisfy you to the core and you can leave with that. As for being my Luna, it can't be assured.”

This statement broke me up completely but I couldn't let emotions hinder my chance of surviving here in the Blue Moon Pack as the Luna. 

Adriel took me to his room, his private room and pulled me to the bed. I watched as he snappily undressed before me. For the moment, bliss overwhelmed the pains in my heart. “What's the meaning of this, Lily? Why are you trying to sever the relationship between my mate and I?” She growled at me with such a bitter and angry tone. 

I opened my mouth in shock as I stared at her upon hearing what she said. “Shouldn't I be saying this? Alpha Adriel and I are legally married. How could you have the audacity to question me for having sex with my husband whom I begged for this just because of you.” 

Though I had every right to shout at her and even hit her for coming in between my husband and I, I didn't. I spoke in a very low tone despite the fact that she just disrespected me. I didn't want to piss Adriel off, I was trying to get something from him, I couldn't give him a reason to kick me out before I get what I want. 

I watched as Carly launched towards me, this move was unexpected. I turned around to defend myself, dodging as Carly struck out her leg wanting to kick on me. She pulled out her fist in an attempted punch but I swayed my body to the right, causing a missed shot. 

She gnashed her teeth. “I'll teach you a lesson! I'll let you know that Adriel belongs to me, not a weak bitch like you!” She growled and it was like that of a wounded lion. The attacks from Carly didn't stop even after failed attempts on her part, then she launched full body on me, grabbing my neck and trying to strangle me. I struggled to grab her hands and tried to pull them off me but her grip was firm. I turned to look at Adriel who was sitting on the bed watching Carly do this to me without saying anything or deciding to help. 

Anger sprung up in my chest and with this single anger, I unsnapped her hands from my neck, pushing her with full force that she fell to the ground, rolling and groaning in pain. 

To my greatest surprise, Adriel rose up, going to her and raising her up. He walked up to me on the bed and gave me a hard slap. Right at the moment, I saw the stars immediately after he gave me the slap. 

“Who gives you the right to touch my Luna?” He shouted, hitting my cheeks so hard that my face flinched. Hot tears clouded in my eyes, it wasn't really the pain from the slap but the pain of seeing your mate rise to defend another woman and calling her Luna. 

“Don't you know that Carly is my first love. The girl I thought of marrying right before I met you just that she got out of reach and the next possible option was you?” 

I gasped. 

So I've been an option all these while? 

“Leave her!” Carly sneered. “She doesn't know our history. If she knew, she would cry to death or even commit suicide.”

These words hurt me more than anything, getting to hear such a wish from my sister whom I sacrificed everything for. 

“Tell her!” She went further, referring to Adriel. Adriel looked at me with a witty grin. 

“Well, I met Carly right before I did meet you, my grandfather was alive at that time and then I was training to become the next Alpha. Relationship was a serious no for me as per his rule, I needed to concentrate on my training courses but I loved Carly, your sister.” He gave her a peck in the cheeks forcing me to shut my eyes tight. I didn't want to see this. 

“I wanted to marry her as soon as I took over but she was much bothered about going for her studies despite the fact I begged her to study in the country. I swore I'll make her my woman and Luna one day. That day is now!” His words came with an aura of authority. 

“That day is today, so I don't need to tell you what to do.” His face switched all of a sudden, his eyes darkened and his fist clenched. It was as though the sunny sky suddenly turned black with heavy rain and fog. I shivered in fear as he leaned towards me on the bed, gnashing his teeth. 

“I'm done with you. Pack your things and leave right away!” He thundered. 

“I don't ever want to set eyes on you again!”
