Delilah's POV:

I gestured at Victoria to come closer and have a look at the spell. She trembled slightly as her fingers moved over the page. As a witch, she must be feeling the dark energy of all these spells. I rubbed her back soothingly and asked her to take her time.

After a moment, she nodded her head in determination and said firmly, "I am ready."

I squeezed her hand lightly, "Let's do it."

She picked up the heavy book off the table and we all moved toward the bed where Dorian was lying down. Adeline moved aside to give space to Victoria.

Standing beside the bed, Victoria glanced between Dorian and the Book of Spells before swallowing hard. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. My heart started beating erratically as she opened her mouth. Just like Asteria used to do, Victoria started enchanting the spells of foreign language under her breath.
