Chester nodded firmly. “Thank you, Sophia.”

“If I had known you were my brother, I would have helped persuade Phoebe into giving you a chance. Although you hurt her, I’ve always been protective of her.”

“What happened to you two was my fault. I was too harsh when I accused you of taking my sister’s place.”

Sophia replied, “Don’t worry. I’ll always be your sister. Elliot and I canceled our prenup because of you.”

“What prenup?”

“Our grandparents arranged for Elliot and me to marry each other. We secretly signed a prenup to appease them, stating that we would cancel our marriage if our grandparents’ health improved or if they passed away.

“Later, I couldn’t stand what you did to Phoebe and intervened. Your attitude toward me was always terrible, too. Elliot couldn’t bear to watch me suffer and threatened to cancel the prenup if I got involved again.
