Chapter 10-Injury

Emily’s POV

My knee had crashed into one of the pebbled stones. I had hurt myself quite badly, and a bit of blood was dribbling from the injury.

Leon immediately rushed to me. “Are you okay, Em, I’m so so sorry! Do you need an ambulance?!” He cried out to me with a look of concern as well as horror. He reached out his hand to pick me up off the ground.

Fred was standing a few feet away; a helpless stare on his face, like a cat stuck in a tree unable to get down. Ignoring him, I turned to look up at Leon.

“No, there’s no need to make a fuss, Leo,” I stopped him, “can you go and grab a medical kit? I don’t want to move my leg for now.”

“Of course, I’ll only be a minute. Are you sure you’re okay?”

“Yes, I’m sure,” I comforted him. Leo nodded. He was about to grab the kit, but he suddenly turned to Fred.
