Persefoni

       Uin tec undestrec bloodemita

I kept repeating those words often and often, I can feel my ears and nose bleeding and I can feel the ancestors passing their message, a message that I do not know it's meaning thanks to my mistress and her attempt to suppress my magic.

"The doctor said your test came back clear, in order words, there is nothing wrong with you"

Looking at an uncomfortable Mr. Washington, I felt bad for him. Bringing me to the hospital and staying with me the whole night when there is absolutely nothing wrong with me is kind of funny but touching. "I was bleeding through my nose and ears, how can they say there is nothing wrong with me?"

"I think you should direct your questions to them once they come to check you again"

"Am so sorry for keeping you away from your duties at the office"

He stared at me as if he is trying to figure me out or trying to ask me something so I made it easier for him.

"You have something you want to ask me?"

"I don't know if I should be asking this question because you are in the_" he pointed towards the drip

"You can ask me anything sir"

He exhaled heavily "okay... Apart from English, what other language do you speak?"

Shit!! I was hoping he didn't hear those words that I was uttering. "Yes, I speak Serbian"

He intertwined his fingers "Serbian?"

I sat up a little bit from the bed "Yes sir, Serbian. Why do you ask?"

His calculating eyes fixed on me "yesterday, while you were bleeding, you kept repeating a particular sentence"

I baited him to know if he can really remember the exact words that I said. "What was I repeatedly saying sir?"

"I can't remember, but I was hoping you will tell me what it means? That's if you remember which I know you should since you weren't unconscious"

"I was in so much pain, so I kept shouting for help. What I kept repeating was ' help me, it hurts so much"

He eyed me skeptically as if deciding if he should believe me or not but at the end, he chose option c which is keeping quiet.

The doctor walked in few minutes later with a short but beautiful nurse behind him.

"How are you feeling Miss Persefoni?"

"Am fine doctor"

Gabriel stood up from his seat "I'll give you guys some time alone to talk" he turned to me "I'll be in the lobby"

I watched him leave before turning my attention to the doctor. "I heard my tests came back good?"

"Yeah everything was good which is very strange considering you were bleeding through your ears and nose. How often do you get those?"

I lied through my teeth "this is my first experience doctor"

He nodded "we will refer you to a better hospital with better equipment so they will run better test on you"

I nodded

"You should be discharged this afternoon, let's watch you for few more hours"

As the he left, someone else entered. I expected to see Gabriel but I saw Mrs. Claus who I learnt is also called Gabriella and is Gabriel's twin sister.

"Oh my God, so it's true!!"

I guess it's now news

"You know when I called Gabriel last night and asked him what he wanted for dinner and he told me that he's in the hospital with you, I didn't believe him. I thought that was a new excuse to avoid me"

"Avoid you? Why would you brother try to avoid you?"

She waved me off "that's a story for another. So what happened to you?"

"My blood decided to flow in another direction"

She raised her brows "that's the shittest explanation I've heard so far"

"I bled through my nose and ears"

Her eyes widened "is that normal? To bled through your ears?"

"If it's normal, I wouldn't be here"

"Yeah, that's right"

I looked at the door again "where is Gabr_ I mean Mr. Washington"

She smiled at me "he left already, said something about getting ready for work"

"Ohhh... no matter how hard I tired, I couldn't help but feel disappointed. What was I expecting? For him to leave his work on hold just for me?

"Who did you guys meet yesterday?"

I dont know if Gabriel wants to disclose it to his sister or not "I don't know, maybe you should ask Mr. Gabriel"

She nodded as she stood up "I was on my way to the office then I decided to drop by and check on you"

"Thank you so much ma"

She held her hand to her chest "please call me Gabriella"

"Okay Gabriella"

She waved at me before leaving the room. I used the few hours that I had left at the hospital to reflect on what I said earlier "uin tec undestrec bloodemita" I don't know what it means, but I remember exactly what I said.

Going back to the coven is definitely not in the option, I can't go back to where all these began. I know Logan is going to be willing to help, but that means going back which am not ready to do. I closed my eyes and prayed that whatever that sentence means shouldn't bring bad luck. The last time something like this happened was when I had sex with David. After I bled through my nose and ears he died a month later. But I've not slept with anyone or fallen in love with anyone so no one is dying I suppose. I guess I'll let time decide.

Gabriel

Pomozi mi da boli previse_ that is what my G****e translator is telling me 'help me, it hurts too much' means in Serbian and what I heard her say didn't sound like what am seeing now. Why the fuck is she lying to me. First it was the day she gave me coffee at the office now she's lying about what she said during her bleeding incident.

My phone rang and I picked it up seeing its David

"Hi Gabriel"

"Dave what do you have for me"

"She isn't in the system man"

I let silence rein between us "what do you mean by that? Is she an illegal immigrant?"

"I don't know man, but I'll have my boys run a background check on her"

"Anything you find, pass it across to me. Don't get the government involved okay?"

"It will cost me my job if my boss finds out but anything for you man"

"Thanks"

Who are you Persefoni?

  • Refrainment   Epilogue

Persefoni Five months laterEverything seem to be going perfectly fine. The baby is growing healthily, Sophia is more welcoming towards me and Logan finally moved the witches to New York… and of course, the daughter’s of Morgana refused to leave with him.Oh! The most important news! How could I have forgotten that?I’m getting married next month. You damn heard me right! Gabe asked me to be his wife last month, and I said yes. Come next month, I’m going to be officially Mrs. Washington.Okay! So today is my last fitting and I’m so excited. My phone and I took my eyes away from the road to search for my phone. When I saw Gabby’s name, I knew why she’s ringing me. “Gabby? I swear, I’m almost there. You’ll see me in five.”“You better hurry Persefoni,” she warned “your wedding planner is gradually getting upset, and I can’t stall her any longer.”“Tell her to give me five minutes, I swear it, I’ll be there.” I increased my speed. “Offer to buy her coffee…or maybe” The call was interrup

  • Refrainment   Chapter 41

GabrielThere is a moment in everyone’s life we have to die. Death is something inevitable in the life of anything that eats, breath and reproduces. The most important thing that matters is the legacy we leave, the love we showered on people during our lifetime. These are what matters, necessary things that we have to do before we meet our end, so we’ll be missed, missed and remembered by many. I watched the priest with aloofness. This day reminds me of the day I buried Susan, and it’s not a memory that I want to remember right now. Sophia cried ugly tears beside me, while Gabby and Claire tried their best to console her. You heard me, Claire; somehow mom managed to invite her for the funeral despite my warnings. I felt someone’s hand grab mine. I stared at the ring unclad finger. She squeezed lightly, offering me comfort that I’ve decided not to agree that I need. Yes, he’s my father, but I haven’t been in a good relationship for many years, I only tried to fix things recently and

PersefoniFor a moment, I thought Canine was going to ignore what she saw earlier. I told her indirectly that I do not want to discuss the baby in the presence of these people, but she just had to ruin everything for me; now Gabe is never going to let me go.“Persefoni?” Gabe growled. “Say something.”Blinking rapidly, I tried not to glare at Canine. It will not only be rude to glare at a descendant of Morgana , it will be outright disastrous. “Can we do this later? In the absence of extra pairs of eyes.”He didn’t like it, not one bit but he let it go, for now. Grateful for his understanding, I focused on Canine. “What do you mean this prophecy isn’t about me but my child?” They exchanged glances, communicating silently. “Say something!” I snapped and Logan quickly grabbed my hand reminding me of my place.Sucking in deep breath, I willed myself to calm down. “I’m sorry for snapping at you, just that the tension and silence is killing me.”Gabe stared at Logan’s hand which is still h

Gabriel I do not know how to prepare while visiting witches coven, but I did pack a suitcase. Persefoni watched me as I grabbed my power bank along with my phone.“What are you doing with that?” Persefoni asked, her lips stretched with a smile. “You honestly think you’re going to need that?”I stared at the two objects in my hand, confused at which object is the topic of discussion. “I’m a business man Persefoni, I need my phone with me at all time.” I looked at her hand. “Where is your suitcase?”“Outside.” She returned around and walked towards the entrance door. “I was talking about the power bank, you won’t need it over there.”Dominic opened the car trunk and placed our bag in. “Why won’t I need it? I didn’t know witches have steady.” I teased. Her deep laughter vibrated throughout the car which made me smile. I miss this moment, moments that I make her smile.“When I said you don’t need the power bank, I didn’t say that because there will steady light supply, I said that becaus

Persefoni This is insane. I know I shouldn’t carry on with this, but I can’t bear to disappoint Gabby. I would have carried on with this if Caro didn’t give me the best news of my life.I’m pregnant. I’m carrying an evidence of the love Gabe and I shared.Placing my hand on my stomach, I thought of how best to break the news to Gabby. She will surely to disappointed. I will too, if someone gave me such good hope, not to shatter it, I will be disappointed too.According to Caro, there is no way I’ll do this without harming myself and the baby, she went further to explain that maybe the prophecy wasn’t for me, but for my baby. Nevertheless, there is only one way to find out. I’ll have to pay the daughters of Morgana a visit, either today or tomorrow.Gabriel will be ecstatic about this baby, but I don’t know if I want to share this moment with him. I don’t even know if I can trust him again, especially when that bitch is still roaming round bf street of New York. Gabriel hurt me…he lit

  • Refrainment   Chapter 37

GabrielEverything sounds so crazy and surreal to me. Persefoni knows how much I love her, how much I need her, yet she's ready to sacrifice her life for a man who is paying for his sins. Rubbing my neck stiffly, I tried to get rid of the sudden ache but to no avail. Logan noticing just how hard this news is for me, he refilled my glass. "You are the only one who can talk her out of this Washington. She obviously doesn't listen to me anymore." I chuckled at his statement. "It's true." he argued. "I've been telling her to visit the daughters of Morgana since thy kingdom come, but she's yet to pay them a visit."Daughters of Morgana are bad news, Persefoni educated me on that. The only reason why she has to visit the daughters of Morgana is when she takes something she isn't suppose to consume. "Why did you insist on her paying them a visit?" a thought occurred to me. "Did she drink coffee?" Surely she cannot be that sucidial. He rolled his eyes at my question. "Persefoni hates coffe
