Red inkEpisode 11: The Opera House The crowd was tense as everyone was at the edge of their seats, waiting for the famous Peter Spencer to hit his iconic E5 pitch. With their mouths agape, Peter took his pitch to its edge and held it for about seven seconds, causing most of the crowd to stand up on their feet, cheering and clapping; all impatient for him to give his finish and bow. After scoring his pitch, he smiled and ended the song along with the instruments playing. Admiring his cheering crowd, all clapping vigorously and some shouting "woah! Wow!"—everyone having goosebumps... This was his stage, his world. He had been playing in it for eight years since he was twenty and had built a name for himself. He surely had come this far. He reveled in it for few more seconds before giving his bow; first, from the right, then the left and finally, the middle. And with that, the curtain was drawn, all waiting for the next presentation for the evening. ~~~~~ "When is the act coming u
RED INK EP 12: Momentum••*Alexis Point Of View*• She walked stealthily through the passage of the HQ that led to her unit. She was taking her time to conduct herself so she could deliver the news she had just heard from James. As she reached the door of her unit, she watched her team, all focused on their works and jurisdiction. She sighed, breathed in...then out. She then plastered a smile on her face and walked in. "Guess what guys?!" She faked excitement....too much excitement as she came into the unit, both hands on her hips, now chewing a gum. Everyone's gaze fell on her. Confused as to what the excitement was about, they looked at themselves. "I heard you were speakinh sith James. What did he say?" Levi asked. She rolled her eyes and pushed the files on her desk to a corner. Balancing on one side of her butt at the edge of the table, she picked up her phone and looked at the time. "Time says 9:15pm now." She put the phone in her pant's back pocket. "Want some food?
Red inkEp 13: Two sides of a coin•• He looked at the scene before him, the grass was wet and damp, rain drizzling, washing the blood of his victims away with its spontaneity. He didn't have much to do, he was done for the evening and he had who he came for. Boss would want him to finish it clean but he made a special request tonight, that he should leave the scene as it was, unattended and allow whoever was passing by perceive the odour of the decay...multiple dead persons. That would be one odour to reckon with. It would be a trigger point for the man who hid in the shadows. So with that in mind, and the rain against his plan of blazing them up in fire, he tucked his rifle back in his back pocket. He had opted to go for framing it to look like a shootout. Of course, it looked amateurish but that was also the intention. He turned back through the meandering woods that led to where his car was packed. The cooing sound of an owl in the tree which would had been perturbing to a chi
Red INKEP 14: The beast without.. Fred looked at Diana, Lorin walking to his side. Diana stared straight at him, her eyes not fumbling one bit. "You are here." Lorin stated. "I must have taken too long." "Boss wanted to come get you himself." He stopped looking at Diana and focused on her. "Are you alright?" Lorin smiled, raising her hand to her hair, fixing a strand at the back of her ear which made her appear charming without trying. "Feels good to hear that." She grinned and turned to looked at Diana who scoffed at her. If she looked like anything at all, she really slightly resembled a pissed off cat. She turned back to Fred. "Shall we?" Fred gestured to her, indicating the "ladies first" charismatic effort. Lorin smiled and picked up pace, walking away from the unnecessary drama she did not foresee tonight, while Fred followed closely behind.•• The vehicle was on light speed as they sped off from the Ford mansion, Lorin and Dillion at the cabin, Fred and the Driver at
Red INKEp 15: The Beast Without.• "Where... is...Diggy?" The one Fred called 'boss' asked again. Durin inhaled and exhaled with heavy breaths, and then grinned. "So, you were the one who came for us tonight?" Boss thought about the question. "Physically...no. Indirectly? Yes." He grinned, severe boredom evident on his face. He sat up. "It seems you have decided to go through the hard way when you could have easily choosen the faster one. I like you." Durin muffled a chuckle which led to him laughing hysterically. "I'd rather die than give you information." Boss crossed his legs and hands, observing him for some time. "You want to die? Are you sure that is your wish?" Durin looked at him, it was as if his face brightened with excitement at the thought of death. He looked him straight in the eye. "If you don't kill me and I leave this place, I will kill you myself! Diggy will find you and make you pay!" "Oh! Pay? I wonder which debt it is I have to pay" The boss said. "I will w
RED INKEP 16: A road to Convergence~~Lorin's Point Of View~~ She perceived an aroma in the air, it smelt like pepper soup. She squeezed her eyes, squinting at her environment, the first thing she notice was the nude coloured couch she was lying face down on, then the cream drapes hanging on the walls...this was her home. She sat up, her face smudged with makeup that was unwashed. Her hand moved around her body touching the furry textured material on her body...she was changed. Aurora. How did she get home last night? Did she climb up the stairs? How come she didn't remember? She began to sort things out in her head; she remembered her last cup of wine she drank before leaving the gala, then backward to when she bumped into Fred by the washroom entrance, and then...Diana. Shit! "The audacity of the asshole!" She lamented. " Who do you think you are?" She stood up out of annoyance and picked up a throw pillow from the couch. She threw it on the floor and began stepping on it. "
RED INKEP 17: THE ACT OF TYING A KNOT•• The mansion was huge, made of marbles, limestone and gravels. This gave it it's colour as it wasn't painted, making it a stone house from the outside. It stood full height, about one-third of a land mass that could take four minutes drive from the house to the gates. The compound was that wide and far. There were two golf carts on the land used to move around from one course to the other. Aside those two vehicles, there was a garage close to the mansion where cars were parked. The compound was also covered with trees, flowers and shrubs. It was an old beautiful house. Contrary to the stony exterior that the house gave on first impression, the interior was a different design—more modern. It had smooth walls, some made of plain ceramics, while other parts were cemented and painted. The ceramics added a different texture to the feel of the walls. Anybody coming in could tell the difference in the two white walls. And so, this was how it varied
Red INKEp 18: The act of tying a Knot 2•• ~~Mr Springdam Point of View~~ When he saw Diana walking down the stairs with her sulky attitude, he sighed. He knew it was going to be a bitter morning. One daughter was like him, stubborn as a bull while the other... well the other...he didn't know where she got her attitude from. She was the direct opposite of everyone in his family, including his divorced wife. She was nothing like her. His ex-wife was materialistic, yes, but was like Linda in all ways. She had kindness and generosity in her that the day she woke up and served him divorce papers was the day he thought he was living an illusion. He was confused. She said she didn't feel anything for him and that she thought she could bear it because of his money. She told herself every time that she could buy happiness with the money he had, but she couldn't put up with it any longer. She was not happy and didn't want to be here. He felt hurt of course, he pulled some tantrums for a w
RED INK EP 35: A NEED TO ATTACH ~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Why did you do that?" William asked as he took over the driver's seat, while Alexis slid into the passenger's seat. They both closed their doors and fastened their seatbelts. Alexis looked to the road ahead and then to William. "Do what?" William scoffed. "Really? Since when has asking people what they think personally been part of our investigatiions?" "Since when was it ruled out that it couldn't be part of our investigations?" William was lost for words. "B-but.." "Just drive. Alright?" "As your partner, you have to carry me along. I was at a loss in the middle of the whole questions fiasco I thought we were beginning to play house." Alexis smiled. Without saying anything more, William put on the ignition and started the engine of their black Camry car, placed his gear on drive and accelerated. Like he thought, it seemed they were not demoted down to Crookville afterall. When they began to drive at an averge speed after pas

RED INKEp 34: A predicted happenstance•• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • ••"Miss Linda?" Greg called to her. He was standing half way into the quarter, half of his body showing from between the door like a child peeking into a room. He knew just where exactly to find her.She looked at him from the corner of her eyes as she puffed smoke into the air. This was her second cigarette and some how, it had cooled her nerves down. "Yes? I thought I said for no one to disturb my private time?"Greg didn't know if she was having dementia, but she surely said nothing of such. She did say that she wanted the lawyer and Adam in her office though. That was far from being alone. "There is someone here to see you." He said."Can't the person wait?""Um...I don't think he can."She turned full view to face him. "And who is this VIP person that can not wait?""Mr Spencer's uncle, Mr Dumber." He said. Linda's eyes contracted when she heard the name. The elderly man she stood up the other day? What
RED INKEP 33: A bunch of Spontaneous Representations•• When she arrived for the meeting as planned, everywhere was silent as a chapel where congregation prayed in silent, no noise, no instruments, no movement. But that atmosphere was good for early morning preparations, it kept someone's thought processes sane. She was taking all her effort to discipline herself not to go smoke before the meeting began; she was having a little bit of withdrawal itch, using all she could muster because she didn't want to start the day by smoking cigarettes. She opened her laptop and busied herself by going through the presentation one more time before the actual meeting would commence. Sitting by her left hand side was Diana who had a bored expression on her face, always turning her hand and checking her wrist watch for time. Diana sighed. "Why did we have to be here so early?" She asked. Without riveting her eyes from her laptop's screen, Linda asked, "Why are you complaining? You were the

RED INKEP 31: Where two roads shall meet•• When Aurora turned to look at the exiting back of Dillion, she was surprised to find that Griggs was also there. She looked at them both from head to their feet, assessing their clothings and shoes. When Dillion passed by her, he smelt of coconut oil and lavender. Why does that fragrance seem familiar? She was very sure she had perceived it somewhere before. Or was it not the same night he had come up to hand her Lorin's purse that she captured that fragrance? Why was he acting oblivious of the fact that they had met before? All these questions kept playing in her head. They were at the door when Hither asked Dillion, "Will you be taking the chopper?"Dillion stopped without looking back and replied, "As always." "Won't you make an appearance?" Hither asked again. Dillion smiled and said, "No." And with that, he walked out of the office to an opposite direction that Aurora could swear an entrance didn't exist in. Their shoes making tip

He had been Sairham's Doctor since the day she arrived in the Shaft's mansion, so he could say they were more than acquaintances. They couldn't discard each other. The first day he treated her, she was a victim of drowning. Griggs was the one who carried her to a small town hospital where she was treated. (He guessed she didn't know that, even now.) Later on, she was transferred to the Shaft's mansion where she was treated specially by doctor Hither. He had done major checkup on her and she seemed to be in good health which also surprised him.
RED INKEP 29: Hold my Disposition•• Sai sat down in her bed, drinking the little soup that was bought for her by Clara. It was goat meat soup boiled together with mushrooms and basil, which added a tender taste to its consistency. It was satisfying her craving. Though she still had drip fixed to her hand, she was feeling better, too well. Her bodyguards had been well fed by Clara who saw the need to get them meals to eat while they were here at the hospital, since they couldn't leave their posts. Now Clara had gone out again, to get them their third meal of the day. It's been two days since she was awake and Dillion had not come to see her. What was happening? Griggs stated that he would come when he was ready to but she just wasn't prepared to be left suspended like this. She drank her last drop of soup from the plate, Crux who seemed to be the most sympathetic one among them helped her with her plate, by placing it on the fridge. "Thank you...C-ruz?" "Crux." He chose this cruiser because it was light weight and was very practical. The lamps in front of it were dim because he made it so. His eyes needed to do the seeing and any light could put his target on watch. He brought out his firearm, it was a glock 48, 9 millimeter; and he had two, the other was in his front pocket on his lap , in his black cargo pants. He wore a black face cap over his head, a black mask over his nose and mouth. He was wearing a radio transmitter earphones on before removing it and tucking it in his cargo pants. He was by the bush, where he had parked hsi car the previous night, and just as he thought, someone else was here. It wasn't their plan for it to go this way, but then, this person could also lead them to who they wanted. He had watched a fire build up in t
