Goof Not long after Tony took Xavier home my brother’s fired up the grills. Yes, we always have to use at least two grills when we cook out. Sometimes three if Merigold makes ribs. Silvy It has been a week since the Fourth of July. A week to think about my talk with Goof. And that is all I have thought about. I could get that conversation out of my head. And it was pissing me off. I couldn’t come to a decision. And that pissed me off more. Then there were the questions I kept coming up with. Why did Goof want to change the deal now? What changed? If this was about seeing the baby I told him he could be in the kid’s life. What more does he want? He said he wanted us to be a family. He was going to give up the parties and skanks. Goof I got Silvy to go on a date with me. I have it all planned out. And I will get to that in a minute. Let me tell you how my week has gone. Starting with meeting up with Merigold. I met her at her shop just like she asked. I stood outside the bay door for five minutes before I worked up the nerve to go in. Call me a pussy all you want. These girls can be scary as hell one on one. Ailee is lethal. Merigold and Speed were trained by Army Rangers. Silvy I went into this date with no expectations and an open mind. I wasn’t sure what a date with Goof would be like and I didn’t want to get my hopes up. So far though I am impressed. Silvy Another long night at work. I should be used to it after doing it for so many years but tonight is dragging and I’m exhausted. Not to mention my feet and back are killing me. I can hear my bathtub calling me from here. I am fantasying about bubble bath, a bag of cereal and a cup of chamomile tea. Goof When Silvy called I could tell by her voice that something was wrong. She said the baby and her were fine and I trust her but I know something is off. Especially since she said she would come to the club after her shift instead of me going to her house. Silvy doesn’t come to the clubhouse often and it is usually when we are having a party Merigold and Lilly invited her to. So I have been a little on edge since Silvy hung up. I keep checking my phone watching the time. From the time Silvy hung up till the time she should get here is and hour and thirty minutes. Five minutes before Silvy is due to arrive I instruct the prospect working the bar to make Silvy’s drink. He looks t me oddly at first but does what I ask when I tell him it is for Silvy. I noticed two things when I woke up. The first was I was not in my bed. The last thing I remember was sitting on Goof's lap in the clubhouse main room. I came to him after a rough night at work. He comforted me and made all my worries disappear. while sitting on Goof's lap I felt like everything would be alright. He would be there. I guess I was so comfortable I fell asleep. But where am I and who brought me here? The other thing I noticed was a hand on my stomach and weight on my hip since I was laying on my side. The hand is moving back and forth across my stomach as the baby moves around. " Easy little one. Let mommy sleep a little longer." a voice says. Goof. That explains who brought me here. I open my eyes and look around without moving. I don't want Goof to know I'm awake yet. He is still talking to my stomach.
