[Carys]
I ran back to the Spring palace.
Sneaking into the hallways, I watched from the shadows.
‘Where are you?’ Joshua mind-linked me. ‘Please reply to me, Carys. Please!’
I didn’t reply. There was a crowd in the party hall.
Edith sat in the middle of the crowd weeping. Joshua sat beside her as a doctor tended to her wound.
What the hell happened here?
“I still can’t believe this. Beta Carys is the traitor?” Carter, beta of the Summer pack, said.
“Well, we kind of knew that someone among us was leaking our intel to the lycans. It makes sense that beta Carys is working with them given her past—” Elijah Helios, alpha of the Summer pack, said.
“Alpha Elijah, let’s not come to a conclusion without proper investigation. You are talking about my beta,” Joshua said, glaring at him. “Beta Carys has always proved her loyalty to us and our pack. We can’t judge her based on a mistake she made in her teens.”
Elijah scoffed, “oh really? So where is she? When the lycans attacked, she should be here, protecting you and your to-be luna.”
“Moreover, these photos tell a completely different story. It clearly looks as if she is commanding the lycans. They are dressed as the same people who attacked us and injured your mate, Alpha Joshua.” Carter said.
“How did you even get this photo?” Joshua asked Dominic Percy, alpha of the Spring pack and Edith’s elder brother.
“As you know, for safety, a spy follows every guest in our palace. Of course, the guests aren’t aware of the spies, but these photos were from the spy who was tailing beta Carys,” Dominic said. “We are questioning the lycans we’ve caught. We’ll soon know what the truth is. Until then, I will request all of you to cooperate with us.”
I don’t get this. I just don’t get this.
Someone was clearly trying to frame me, but who and why?
Anyway, the right course of actions right now would be…
I came out of hiding and walked downstairs into the hall. The soldiers of the Spring pack surrounded me. I glanced at them and then at Dominic.
“You cannot take my beta into custody, not until you have stronger evidence,” Joshua said, and the soldiers stepped back, but they were still in position.
“Carys!” Joshua held my arm, and I briskly took it back from him.
‘Don’t touch me,’ I told him through a mind-link.
Joshua tensed his brows as guilt flushed all over his face. Clenching his hands, he dropped them to his side.
“Where were you, Carys?” He asked.
“In the woods,” I said as every eye looked at me with the same suspicion and caution that they had held ten years ago.
“Why did you go there?” Dominic asked, strutting to me.
I looked at Joshua and then at Edith.
“It was a little suffocating in the palace, so I went out for a run,” I said.
Dominic took out his phone from his pant’s pocket and showed the picture to me. “What is this? Who are these people?”
The picture that was clicked in the woods when I came across those black-robed men.
I looked into Dominic’s eyes and said, “I don’t know who they are. Yes, I encountered them in the woods and I suspected an ambush. But when they backed away, I thought maybe the palace was under an attack so I ran back here just to see that perhaps only princess Edith was attacked.”
I looked at Jax. He asked me to run away and running away in a situation like this would have put me into greater trouble. Was he trying to frame me? Or was he working under someone else’s command?
I skimmed my eyes from Jax to Edith. Edith had the same subtle but sly glow in her eyes.
“That’s not true. A few of my guards and butlers were injured as well. Although the lycans did retreat quickly,” Dominic said. “Their plan was weak given they dared attack the three alphas.”
“We will know their motives once the captured lycans start speaking,” Jax said.
It felt like I was getting trapped deeper and deeper into whatever conspiracy was going on against me.
“They are clearly bowing before you,” Carter said. “How do you explain that?”
“If this photo would have been clicked a few seconds ago, you would see me pointing a gun at them. The spy who sent you this. Can you call him here?” I asked, looking at Dominic.
“He’s missing. Right after he sent me these photos, he stopped responding to my mind-links and texts. My soldiers are looking for him in the woods,” Dominic said.
I smiled, “how convenient. Create a fake scenario, a fake attack and then clear all the evidence to make it look real. Someone is clearly trying to frame me here. I have nothing to do with the lycans.”
“Fake attack? Edith was hurt, Carys,” Joshua said, frowning at me.
I felt an unfathomable burn in my chest, seeing his concern for her. Now, every time I looked into his dark eyes, all I could see was betrayal.
Suppressing my emotions, I walked to Edith and examined her wounds, clicking the photos before the doctor bandaged it.
“These wounds are shallow. We have faced several lycan attacks, haven’t we, alpha Joshua? Everyone here knows very well that when a lycan attacks, he doesn’t merely tear off the skin. They tear limbs right off the body…”
“That’s because Joshua saved me on time,” Edith said. “The lycans came under-prepared this time.”
“There’s a thing about lycans. They are far more intelligent and cunning than us. They are never under-prepared and if they are, they don’t attack,” I said. “And attacking a party with three of the strongest werewolf alphas? I don’t think lycans are that stupid.”
Edith smiled, “you speak as though you are close to the lycans. As if you know everything about them.”
“There’s a saying: keep your friends close and your enemies closer,” I said.
“Yeah. Everyone here knows how close you were to your enemy. Is that also the reason no lycan ever attacks you? Forget about attacking. They never even dare lay a finger on you,” Edith said, and I felt a burning clench in my chest.
I glared at her, feeling my age old wounds open up again.
“Enough! Whatever it is, we will soon find out. Until then, beta Carys will be confined in her room under heavy surveillance,” Dominic said. “I hope you cooperate with us,” he looked at me.
“Sure,” I said.
*****
I paced in my room that had turned into a prison. There were cameras in my room with voice recorders.
I was trying to figure out what was actually happening when the door opened.
“Joshua—”
“I bet you wish it was him,” Edith said as she shut the door and walked to me. “Tell me, why are you trying to kill me? What have I ever done to you?”
I narrowed my eyes at her words.
“I have seen bad acting, but yours is the worst,” I said and Edith widened her eyes in shock.
“Oh my, how rude. Why do you hate me so much, Carys?” Edith let out a fake weep.
“That’s my question, Princess Edith. It seems like you hate me more,” I said, crossing my hands under my breasts.
She suppressed a chuckle and walked closer to me. She hugged me, breaking into tears. “No, Carys. I don’t. Why are you so cold to me?”
I pushed her away from me. “What are you trying to do now?”
She pretended to look clueless. “What do you mean?”
“It was you. You faked this attack on yourself, didn’t you?”
“What?” she placed her hands on her mouth. “What are you saying? First you ask your lycans to kill me and now you are trying to blame it all on me? Why would I pay some rogues to attack me and hurt myself?”
Rogues? Were those lycans rogues? If so, then… anyone can hire them to do their dirty work without political consequences because the rogues worked on their own and were answerable to none.
Sobbing, she sat on the bed.
“Please leave,” I said.
“I am sorry, you think so lowly of me… but I have nothing but respect for you… being a beta isn’t easy at all and I have always admired you for that. You have been my idol, Carys.” She got up and held my hands. “I forgive you. I will take this attack as your welcome gift and forget everything about it. I will tell my brother to forgive you as well. Let’s start anew. After all, I will soon be your luna. We must have a good relationship, right? What do you say?”
I flicked her hands away from me.
“My luna?”
“Yes,” her smile reached her ears. “Didn’t you hear? Joshua and I are getting married and that too in a week.”
She held my arms.
“I am so excited to be a part of the Autumn pack and work with you and Joshua. Let’s forget about this childish mistake of yours here. All I need is your apology and I will forget everything about this attack,” she said.
For a second, I lost all control over my rage and jealousy and I pushed her away from me.
She yelped as she collided with the table and fell to the ground. She looked at the scratch on her wrist because of the fall and then glared at me.
I didn’t push her that hard.
“Why should I apologize? Why should I take responsibility for something I haven’t even done? There will be a thorough investigation on this matter, and I will make sure the real culprit is caught and punished.” I said.
Edith glared at me through the hair that had covered her face partially. She smirked, holding my gaze. She rubbed her wrist wound. It seemed as if she was caressing it, but in reality she was making the scratch worse with her nails.
“Does that mean you really didn’t plan this attack?” she asked in an impassive tone as she got up from the floor.
“I will prove my innocence. You may leave now,” I said.
She sneered at me through the veil of her hair. She stepped closer to me and hugged me.
“I knew you couldn’t do something like that. I just wasn’t sure, but now I am sure…” she lowered her voice into whispers only I could hear. “Of course you didn’t plan this attack, because I did.”
I widened my eyes at her confession and looked at the camera. There is no way the voice recorder will catch such a low frequency of sound. They even seized my phone.
“Two years, Carys. Joshua and I met at the royal gala and we found out we were mates. You didn’t attend the gala that day. I thought he would mark me right away after we fucked all night, but no. He didn’t mark me. He kept hesitating and after fucking me, instead of satisfaction, he had guilt on his face. I kept wondering why he was reluctant to accept me, his own mate. Clearly, his wolf craved me, but Joshua seemed aloof. So, I monitored his daily life, and that’s when I found out about the secret relationship you were having with him.”
My heart was beating erratically at her every word. Nothing felt right. It seemed as if every part of my body was aching.
“He loved you so madly, he almost rejected me. You can’t even imagine what I went through that day. I somehow stopped him from rejecting me. And that’s when I realized you were the real problem. He might have been pulled towards me because of the mate bond, but he loved you. I swear I tried killing myself that day because of how worthless I felt. But why should I kill myself for a worthless whore like you?”
She spoke through her gritted teeth.
I tried to push her away from me, but she hugged me tighter.
“You are the beta of the Autumn pack, so I knew it wouldn’t be easy to take you down. I needed something big. This is my big. I honestly hate you. You have no idea what I have in store for you. You can never get out of my trap because now even Joshua is on my side. I promise I will throw you out of my mate’s life soon. Not just my mate’s life, but from the pack as well. Pack up because soon you’ll turn into a rogue.”
She parted from me and smiled, wiping off her tears.
“I hope we can be friends, beta Carys,” she said loudly.
Anxiety knotted in my stomach. More than fear, I felt a rush.
Two years. Joshua had been sleeping with her for two years. Behind my back? How did I not notice?
All the sudden meetings and trips to random places without further notice, the constant buzzing of his phone. How did such obvious signs go unnoticed?
I smiled.
“I understand you, but I pity you, Edith. I have been rejected by my mate and I know what it feels like. I understand your fear. I know the pain,” I said. She frowned. “I never wish anyone to go through the pain I went through, not even you...”
The door opened again and this time, Joshua entered. He looked at both of us with a pale face. He lowered his gaze and shut the door.
“Edith? Why are you here?” Joshua asked.
“Josh!” she walked to him and wrapped her arms around his biceps. Joshua’s heartbeats escalated, and I knew their mate sparks were at work. “I just came here to mend things with her. I know how broken she must have felt after seeing us together like… that… but I guess Carys really hates me a lot.”
Once again, her fake tears streamed down her cheeks. She lifted her scratched hand to wipe her tears when Joshua seized her hand.
“Is this a wound from the attack?” Joshua asked Edith. “Why didn’t the doctor treat it?”
The concern in his eyes for her was genuine. Tears stung my eyes as I peered at him, holding her in his arms as if he meant it.
Clenching my fists, I looked to the side.
“No, it’s… it’s nothing…” Edith glanced at me.
“Don’t tell me…” Joshua glared at me. “Carys, did you hurt her?” He demanded an answer.
“No, she didn’t. It was an accident. I stumbled and fell—”
“There’s no use trying to protect her, Edith. I saw it through the camera. Beta Carys clearly pushed her.” Dominic entered the room with Jax and his soldiers.
“Did you?” Joshua’s eyes glowed as his wolf, Xander, growled at me.
“She did!” Dominic said. “The lycans finally spoke. Beta Carys was the one to hire them to kill my sister! This is the proof! The money she gave them had her fingerprints on them.”
“That’s impossible! They are lying! I didn’t—”
“How dare you hurt my mate!” Xander growled.
Xander surfaced, and Joshua was pushed behind. The next moment, my head crashed into the wall. Xander clenched my throat.
“I should have put you in your place two years ago, fucking bitch!”
All I remember is I couldn’t breathe for a second or two. Blood drained into my eyes. The room turned red and then pitch black.
[Carys]“I have requested an All Alpha meeting regarding beta Carys’ case.” Dominic said.“What? An All Alpha meeting? It means the lycan alphas will be there as well.” Joshua said.“Yes, that’s what All Alpha meetings are,” Dominic said.“But, All Alpha meetings haven’t been held in decades,” Joshua countered.“Because something like this hasn’t happened in decades. A high rank has never betrayed our packs. I am very well aware that I can’t arrest or punish your beta, but I can’t leave it on you to decide her punishment, either. Given your attachment with her over all these years, I am afraid you are incapable of serving justice. Therefore, I will leave the justice in the hands of All Alpha Court (AAC). It’s my sister that beta Carys has hurt. I cannot let this slide. And if you truly wish to marry my sister, you will cooperate with me,” Dominic said in a commanding voice. As far as I knew Dominic, he was the strongest of all the three pure werewolf alphas and stronger was his resolv
[Carys]He was about to kiss me when I looked away and pulled myself out of his trap.“I don’t regret loving you because I gave you every part of me. I loved you the best way I could, with my utmost sincerity and loyalty. There’s nothing more I could have done to make you stay or love me, only me. Being loyal and not being loyal is a choice, and you have made your choice. There’s no going back,” I said.“I am loyal to you!” He growled, and I flinched. Suppressing his rage, he forced a smile. “Carys,” Joshua made me face him, grabbing my shoulders in a painful grip. His gaze darkened. My chest heaved faster and faster as he slammed me against the wall. “I couldn’t resist my mate, but you couldn’t either. If there’s anyone who can understand me in this situation. It’s you. So why are you…”“I understand you, Joshua. I do. You know me. Don’t you? If you truly loved me or even respected whatever we had for ten years, you would have come to me and had a clear break up before you slept with
[Carys] The impending All Alpha meeting was a week away. I prepared what I could from the confinement of four walls for my defense during that period. Everyone who attended the party or was present during the attack in the Spring palace stayed in the Spring pack. The only person who would hear me and could help me in that critical situation was Alpha Dominic. During this time, my respect for Dominic grew even more. He was enraged because his sister was hurt, but he handled the situation in the most rational manner. He heard my side of the story. I told him someone was trying to frame me, but I didn’t tell him it was Edith. “If you can show me the proof, I will have no option but to trust you,” Dominic said. “But as of now, every proof is against you.” “I understand. Did you find the one who was spying on me in the woods?” I asked. Dominic’s composed expressions turned pensive. “Actually…” “You couldn’t find him? You just found his phone?” I asked. Dominic looked outside the w
[Carys]The All Alpha Court convened as everyone prepared for the meeting.“The meeting is private and will be recorded,” announced Liam Harrison, the beta of the Alpha king. “All attendees must maintain confidentiality. The Percy Spring pack’s Alpha, Dominic Percy, has called for this meeting to address concerns regarding the Nightfall Autumn pack’s beta, Carys Elffire. According to the terms of the All Alpha Court, all alphas from the three werewolf packs are in attendance. Two alphas from the lycan packs are also here. We have the required quorum to commence the meeting in ten minutes.”In this world, existed three werewolf packs and three lycan packs, each of which was led by an alpha. However, there was an independent body called the All Alpha Court (AAC), responsible for monitoring the alphas, betas, and gammas of all the packs. The AAC headquarters was located in an apolitical area known as the Neutral zone. This zone was completely free from political influences. However, majo
[Carys]I peered at Joshua blankly.I knew why he said that. I knew it was best for us to bury the relationship we had never revealed to the world. Revealing it now would only make things worse. Even with all those reasons, an unfathomable ache stung my heart.Holding back my tears, I nodded.“People often mistake friendship between a man and a woman. It’s nothing new,” I said, holding Joshua’s gaze. Swallowing the tight emotions lumping in my throat, I forced a smile. “But I am at fault for overstepping my boundaries. I should have known. I should have been more cautious. As for love…”I broke into laughter.“Please pardon me, Alpha king. But love is the most absurd word in this world — the greatest mockery in life. Only fools would fall for such a delusion and I am… no fool,” I said.I had been foolish to seek love in others when it never truly existed — not in this world — not in the men I loved. It was nowhere, no more. Not even in my heart.Uncomfortable silence settled in the h
[Carys] The guard knocked at the door. “Pardon me, beta, but the meeting is about to begin in ten minutes.” Sniffling, I wiped off my tears. Splashing water on my face, I got myself together. The world doesn’t have to know how it was breaking me. Even if I go down today, I will not let my enemies have the satisfaction of seeing me shatter. I took a deep breath and headed back towards the hall. Thankfully, I didn’t encounter Joshua or Edith on the way. Anxiety churned in the stomach as I stepped closer to the hall. I knew what was coming for me and I wasn’t ready for it. My position as beta had been the only thing keeping me sane in my life. To work for others, to tend to my pack. This position had kept me busy and away from the memories that could have turned my life darker. It gave me a sense of purpose and a reason to live. I had been brought up to be a beta. I didn’t know what I’d do if they took it away from me. I stopped before entering the hall and I could hear the Alpha’s
[Carys]Edith’s face nearly broke into a bright, victorious smile, but she managed to mask it with a subtle smirk in her eyes.A satisfactory smile appeared on Christian’s face that he didn’t even bother hiding.Joshua let out an exasperated sigh, tensed.“Until we resolve this case, Alpha Joshua must officially relieve Carys Elffire of her beta duties and select a new beta for his pack. AAC can provide him with a new beta, or he can choose one independently. Whether to keep or temporarily expel beta Carys from the Autumn pack will entirely depend on Alpha Joshua. The only condition is that a guard from AAC will remain with Carys Elffire at all times. If she’s expelled, Carys Elffire will have to stay in the Neutral Zone until the case concludes.” Liam read aloud from his laptop, and then all eyes were on Joshua. My nails dug into my skin as I waited for his reply. My heart roared wildly in my chest until the silence hung in the hall.“I respect AAC’s decision and I am sure my beta wi
[Carys] “I want it done within a week. Do you get it? I want the best of everything. We need to show those lycans that we are no less than them. This will be a display of not just our power, but our wealth and richness. So I want everything to be perfect. Yes—” “Joshua,” I called out to him while he was busy talking to the wedding planner on his phone. We were in his office in the Autumn pack. “Just a second, Carys,” Joshua tucked his phone between his shoulder and ear. “Yes, I have the guest list ready…” he shuffled through a few pages on his desk and handed a letter to me. “No. The most expensive ones. I need both the quality and the quantity. I want them to remember this party. It will be a slap on their faces…” He went on with his talk as I read the content on the page. Letter of temporary leave? I looked at Joshua, confused. Joshua covered the phone with his hands and whispered to me, “just sign it and leave the rest to me.” Then he went on to talk to the wedding planner.

[Carys]“At the conclusion of this meeting, this is my final verdict in compliance with the vote of other alphas — the Autumn pack will not be dissolved. As proposed by the Gamma Mic of Autumn pack, the Autumn pack will be run under emergency conditions with the gamma assuming the beta’s position and upholding the pack. The rank of the alpha of the Autumn pack will remain empty until Alpha Joshua’s child is born. AAC will assist the Autumn pack at every stage of recovery.” I didn’t attend the meeting, but turns out Verity had other ways to have a peek into everything that happened in the conference hall. “Edith Percy Nightfall’s punishment will be postponed until and after the heir of the Autumn pack reaches the age of five. She will be convicted like everyone else who was responsible for the Blank Space incident. Until then, she’ll remain under AAC’s surveillance.” I let out a sigh. “As per Alpha Dominic’s request, the Spring pack will monitor and take care of Edith Percy Nightfal
[Carys]Hoot!Snow White perched herself on Kian’s chest.“Kian’s soul has sustained severe injuries, Carys,” Moratia said. “It will take years for him to recover. The Bond that remains in his soul will help in his recovery. Keep Snow White close to him. She’ll help feed him the spiritual energy he needs through this mist. We are taking Mizkeal’s soul with us.”She looked at Death. Death turned his face towards Moratia and gave a slight nod.I lifted my gaze and looked at Moratia. The Ravens and crows that ripped Mizkeal’s soul away from Kian had long disappeared into the dark portal with his soul. The portal revolved behind Death’s divine yet haunting figure. His face was covered with a skull mask.He turned towards the portal and stretched out his hand towards Moratia. She glanced at me and smiled.“Thank you for everything, Carys,” she said before she turned around and looked into his eyes before placing her hand in his. They walked into the dark portal. Once their figures were e
[Carys]Moratia slowly looked around to see Alpha King and Liam standing near the borders with their army. After all the destruction Mizkeal caused, it was only logical for him to take things in his hand.Levi stood beside them, staring at us. I could tell by the look on his face that he tried his best to hold Alpha King back, but couldn’t. The same look was on Verity’s face.Verity tried to run towards us when Alpha King ordered one of his soldiers to take her away from the battlefield.Nox stood with the other members of the SW, looking frantically around the battlefield. He was clearly looking for Morana.Morana and Christian had fallen into the mist together, but I hadn’t seen them after that. I could only hope that they were ok.Dominic and Ash walked through the crowd of soldiers to the front-lines, taking in the situation.Of course, all of them felt the horror of Mizkeal’s wrath.“Brother!” My eyelids fluttered towards Aamna as she tried to cross the borders and come to our si
[Carys]I could feel everything Moratia felt. All the centuries of life, love and death flashed in her soul. Her soul was elated to see Mizkeal again, and the way he recognized her again filled her with hope, but it didn’t take long to shatter. Somewhere in him, she yearned to find the man she fell in love with. The prince who taught her how to live. But neither was Mizkeal the same, nor was his love for her. The pure love that a fae price once had for her had turned into a madness of a fae lord. He loved her, yes. But in a constant fear of losing her and that kind of love leads to desperation. And that desperation had blinded Mizkeal.I could actually understand the reason behind his desperation because I was desperate, too. I was desperate to save Kian, bring him back, and I was ready to do anything that could make that possible.Marrying him or not marrying him would depend on Moratia. And I knew whatever she chose would affect me significantly, so I had to brace myself for whateve
[Mizkeal]I didn’t care what happened inside me. I used every ounce of my soul for this last attack. The world could end at its own accord, but…I shifted my glare at Carys. To end her was my right.Peering at me, she got to her feet. Holding my gaze, she stood calmly amidst the exploding ground around her. She licked her lips before taking a deep breath. She smiled gently and shut her eyes, allowing the tears welled in her eyes to trail down her beautiful face.I landed on the ground. Dust and debris of the ground blasted all around us as I strutted towards her.I grabbed her wrist and yanked her closer, barely holding back my rage. The chimes of her crown jingled louder than the exploding earth, sending goosebumps all over my body.“Open your eyes…” I commanded in a slightly shivering tone.I grabbed her upper arms tighter.“Open your eyes!” I snarled at her.She shook her head, her lips trembling as she took in a shuddering breath through her tears.“Carys!”“You know my name, my p
[Mizkeal]Christian held back his groan, gritting his teeth as he glared at me with bloodshot eyes.“Why is everyone so stubborn here?” I sighed. “Well, pain is a choice, and you chose not to show it. I respect that.”“Shove that respect up your ancient ass and get out of my best friend’s body,” he growled, glaring right into my eyes.I chuckled wryly. “You have a strange sense of humor. How does it feel to be in that head of yours, to have a tongue sharper than your claws? There is no real damage you can do to me.”Christian laughed obnoxiously. “That’s the stupidest thing I have ever heard.”“Oh! Have you ever heard yourself?” I taunted back.Morana let out a titter with a smirk spread across her lips.I shifted my gaze to Morana, whose calculative eyes analyzed me.She was the one important to me, but I was still not sure if I could absorb my heart and Bond without damaging them both in the process.I couldn’t risk absorbing Bond while she had my heart because then… it could damage
[Mizkeal]As I soared towards the sky, a wave of raging adrenaline pumped through my veins, pounding in my ears.Carys Elffire was playing a dangerous game. She split the Bond in two parts! How the hell did she split it apart? But what I failed to understand was how she got a hold on Bond so quickly. A day ago, she couldn’t even keep its power in control and now she had split it in two?But what I wanted to know was how far she had decoded Bond and its abilities.Bond was far more powerful than before. New elements were added into Bond and I hadn’t had enough time to decipher all of them, either. So, it was important for me to know how much she had deciphered it or altered it.With a swift blow of my mana, I created a squall that tore the mist apart for a few seconds. It gave me enough time to escape. The mist swirled around me, playing with my head, bringing out the memories that were impossible for me to resist or ignore. Despite my efforts, echoes of Moratia’s voice haunted me, blu
[Carys]Parting from Mizkeal, I held his hands in mine. His calculative silver eyes narrowed on our hands before he looked into my eyes, as though he could see my soul.“I know what you are thinking. But I am not here for you,” I said, holding his gaze. “I’m here for Kian because I cannot lose him.”He smirked faintly, his eyes calling me out for being delusional.“If Kian lives on in you, as you… then I agree to that fate,” I said, looking into his eyes. “If his soul is merged in yours, then I’ll love his torn soul through you. If you go beyond that border, Alpha King will do everything in his power to stop you. He will kill my Kian and… I can’t let that happen. So, I’ve stopped them. I lied to them. I told them I can… stop you. But I know I can’t.”Mizkeal narrowed his eyes.“You’ve been madly in love, Mizkeal, with a woman. So, I know you understand my desperation, and this might be the stupidest decision I make for this world, but keeping you safe is the only way I can ensure Kian
