Chapter 4 Steal Money to Buy a Car

I froze in disbelief upon hearing those words.

I never thought that Jasmine had really stolen the money to buy a car. To make matters worse, she had even registered it in my name!

Joziah stood up and said with an air of confidence, "I knew it."

Jasmine's eyes gleamed with a subtle hint of triumph. "So, are you ready to pay up now?"

The police officer spoke up, saying the evidence was still incomplete and that further investigation was needed. Joziah and his relatives were further convinced I had stolen the money.

If it weren't for the officer scolding them, they would have even wanted to snatch my phone and transfer the money themselves.

I was never good with words. Nonetheless, I wasn't a troublemaker like them. All I could do was call my lawyer and snap into the phone as my frustration grew, "Where are you?"

The lazy fool was always late to class during school. How could he even afford to be late when handling a client's case?
