I slouched in my chair as I pondered in my heart how River got to know about the attack. There was no way I would have sent a signal to him by mistake.

I made sure to warn the soldiers and my messengers not to send any warning signs to the red breeder pack.

It was a mystery, and I was still confused as to how he got to know about what happened. The door opened, and Constance walked into the room. She was wearing a beautiful smile on her face as she walked in.

I wouldn't ask her why she was excited. Whenever Constance went out with her friends, she always came back with something to say.

When she saw me, she hurried towards me and hugged me tightly.

"How was your day, honey," she asked. "You're back already."

I didn't hug her back, and neither did I respond. I just stayed put.

She freed me and stared at me. Her smiles had reduced now, and there was a little confusion all over her face.

"Why don't you look happy? How was the attack?" She asked.
