Chapter Five: Fed With Vinegar

Madam Long nodded and watched them as they entered the car.

She is quite sure that there is something wrong. And knowing her son, she knows that he won't tell him.

She sighed and went back to join the party.

Fang Xinyi could feel the sad atmosphere in the car. She knew that she dared not to  utter a single word or make a sound.

Su Ming, Chen's assistant also his personal driver could also feel his master's anger right now. He can't blame him, he has every right for him to be angry. Su Ming felt that Long Chen is too patient.

'I would have divorced her right at that moment, if I am the one. But I guess boss is too blinded by her love.' He thought.

Fang Xinyi could feel Long Chen's terrifying gaze burning her body.

"Will you care to explain what happened over there?" He asked her coldly.

"I'm sorry." She mutters

But Long Chen could hear her.

"You're sorry??." He chuckled and looked out the window.

Seeing Long Chen's cold attitude, Fang Xinyi weeps silently.

'Will this life be  like my previous life?" She thought.

"Long Chen, I don't like it when you act this way. Please forgive me. I was just carried away." She said apologetically.

Long Chen snorted but didn't reply to her.

"Please don't give me this cold shoulder." She said and grabbed his arm.

He shrugged her hands off him

"You were carried away. Are you telling me that you still love your ex boyfriend." Long Chen asked her angrily.

"I..." She couldn't utter a single word. She was just staring at him, unable to say anything.

"See, you can't say anything and you want me to forgive you." He said and the car stopped in front of the mansion.

"Get out." He ordered her.

"What." She mutters in shock.

"Ain't you going to come inside." Xinyi asked him confusedly.

"Don't make me repeat myself." He said coldly.

Fang Xinyi comes out of the car quietly and sadly.

She watched the car drive away.

'Why is he acting like this? After all, I've explained the situation to him.' She sniffed and walked into the mansion dragging her feet on the door.

"Madam, you're back??." One of the maids asked her surprisingly because she knows that the banquet couldn't possibly end so soon.

"Yeah." She said weakly and climbed the stairs going to the master bedroom.

Assistant Su drives Long Chen to the bar.

"Old Chen." The men called out in surprise.

The slut with Tang Cheng quickly tried to cover up and ran away

"Shouldn't you be without your newly wedded wife enjoying your wife instead of joining us old men and disrupt my fun." Tang Cheng said frowingly.

"Yeah. What are you doing here?" Bai Yuan asked.

Ignoring them, Long Chen grabbed a bottle of alcohol on the table and drowned it. His taste bud is sour. But he  didn't care. 

The scene keeps replaying in his mind, Fang Xinyi defending Kang Li. He couldn't help but to be angry

"It seems like Old Chen has been fed with vinegar." Tang Chen said.

"Assistant Su, what's wrong with your boss." Gong Hu, the aloof and most quiet one among them asked.

"He had a fight with Madam because she..." He stopped when he saw Long Chen glaring at him.

"Why don't you complete your sentence." Tang Chen asks impatiently.

"I'll take  my leave." Assistant Su runs out as if his pants is on fire to wait for Long Chen at the parking lot.

"It seems like Tang Cheng is quite idle these days. I think I need to call your old man." Long Chen said threateningly.

"No no. Don't do that please." Tang Cheng begged him. The Old man Tang has been pestering  him to get married which made him to run away from home.

The others knows what is best for them and didn't utter a word watching him drink himself to stupor.

While Fang Xinyi is unable to rest at home, she was tossing on the bed. She is so worried and have no idea on how to contact him. 

She sits up on the bed and picked up her phone, she searched through her contacts whether she is having his phone number. 

In her past life, she knows nothing about her husband and to make it worst, she is not having his phone number while Long Chen knows almost everything about her. Her favorite food, favorite colour, so on and forth.

Thinking of which makes her feel so bad. 

'I have made so many mistakes which cost me deeply in my past life. I can't afford to make the same mistake in this life. I have to rectify my mistake now at the earliest.' She mused.

The door creaked and her thoughts was cut short  by the sound of the door.

"Long Chen." She called shockingly. She was so suprised  to see him in a disheveled state.

She quickly got down from the bed when she saw him staggering.

"Leave me alone." He shook off her hands off him.

"What are you doing. Please let me help you." She mutters weakly,tears dropping from her eyes like river.

Long Chen felt sad seeing her tears. Despite him staggering, he took her by the hand with care and took her to the bed.

He knelt down at her front wiping her tears.

"Don't cry. I hates it whenever i see your tears." He said and Xinyi smiles tearfully.

"I'm not angry with you anymore. So don't be sad okay???." Long Chen said.

Fang Xinyi smiles happily and replied.

"Okay."

"You can go back to your room." 

Long Chen said because he didn't expect to see her in his room. Considering the way they got married, she might not be comfortable with him especially she is still in love with Kang Li. All these were his thoughts.

"No, this is my room. We're married, it's only right for us to share a room together." She said and helped him to stand up from the floor.

He hummed in response and entered the bathroom.
