Dad, what are you two arguing about?"

Tatiana walked in just then, interrupting Dominic before he could finish his sentence.

She wore a calm smile, as if none of the unpleasantness from the engagement party just hours ago had ever happened.

Seeing her like this only fueled Dominic's anger

even more.

"You still have the nerve to—"

His words were cut off abruptly.

Tatiana was the bride that Maxim had specifically chosen to marry into the family. As long as she was around, the connection between the Gold family and the Konstantine familywouldn’t be nullified.

He would still be the father-in-law of Maxim Konstantine, the most powerful man in the country!

Even if Malcom exposed them, the Konstantine family wouldn't just sit back and watch the Gold family fall!

So, all what he needed to do was to win over Tatiana, and all the crises would be easily resolved!

With this thought in mind, the anger on his face was quickly replaced by a warm smile.

He pulled Tatiana close, chuckling softly,

"Tatiana, I'm so glad you made it back safely. Do you know how much I've missed you all these years?"

Beside them, Camille and Anna looked on in disbelief.

"Dad, what are you saying!? That worthless girl—"

"Shut up!"

Dominic suddenly shouted, causing Anna to fall silent, too scared to say another word.

"Tatiana, this will always be your home. Now that you're back, you should settle in and stay here. If you need anything, just let your dad know, okay?"

"Okay."

Tatiana nodded slightly. She knew she had to stay.

Because not long ago, she had uncovered a secret.

Years ago, the previous owner's mother, Isabelle Knight, transferred all her assets to her daughter's name after discovering Dominic's infidelity.

This meant that once the previous owner turned eighteen, she would become the head of the Gold family, and everything owned by Dominic and Camile would belong to her.

This was also the reason why Camille and Dominic wanted to get rid of her.

Now, Tatiana had returned to the Gold family to find the property transfer documents that Dominic had taken back then, aiming to reclaim what rightfully belonged to her.

Thus, it was only natural for Tatiana to settle into the Gold family home.

Dominic's attempts to win her over drove Camile and her daughter, nearly mad with frustration.

One day, a phone call shattered the tranquility of the Gold family.

It was Anna's school teacher calling.

Anna had been suffering from malnutrition due to her long-term dieting and had suddenly collapsed during class.

She was now at the hospital undergoing a full examination.

Dominic and Camile rushed into the hospital, their hearts pounding. They heard the doctor announce the test results: "It's leukemia, late stage.

Family members need to come for a bone marrow matching. If you wait too long, it will be too late."

Without a moment's hesitation, Dominic and Camille rolled up their sleeves and dashed into the lab.

But the results sent their hearts plummeting.

Their bone marrow did not match Anna, and they couldn't proceed with the transplant.

In an instant, the couple felt their hopes shatter.

They scrambled to finda suitable bone marrow match for Wendy.

They tried every means possible. Dominic even gathered all the employees from his company to come to the hospital for testing, but the outcome was still the same...

In the hospital corridor, they peered through the small glass window at Anna, lying in the intensive care unit, her face pale and lifeless.

Tears streamed down Camile's face.

"Anna can't afford any delays. If we can't find a suitable bone marrow match soon, even a miracle won't save her."

The doctor had delivered the final warning.

The words hit them like a thunderclap.

Camille gasped, her mind racing. What should they do?

She had given birth to a daughter for the Gold family, but the old man still refused to accept her.

If anything happened to Anna, her hopes for the future would be completely dashed!

“No way! Anna can't be in trouble!”

Suddenly, Camille's eyes lit up. Without saying a word, she turned on her heels and strode away.

Before long, she returned, her

face beaming with joy as if she had transformed into a different person.

“Tatiana is a suitable match for Anna. I'm very sure she will donate her bone marrow to Anna because they are sisters. She wouldn't want to let Anna down”.

In Dominic's heart, Anna held far more importance than Tatiana.

Besides, donating bone marrow wouldn’t cost Tatiana her life!

With that thought, Dominic didn’t hesitate at all and dialed her number.

Tatiana quickly summarized the situation, but before her father could even begin to persuade her, she firmly replied from the other end of the line, "I refuse. You all need to find another way!"

"Tatiana, come on! Anna is your sister, how can you just stand by and do nothing?”

“Sister”?

She tried to kill me several times, orchestrating so many evil plans and even want to take my inheritance.

Ha!

Without a moment's hesitation, Tatiana coldly laughed, "If I remember correctly, my mother only had one daughter—me. So where would I get a sister?”

With that, she hung up the phone.

Beside him, Camilla's eyes glinted with malice as she clenched her fists. "If she’s going to be so ungrateful, then I won’t hold back!"

Through gritted teeth, she said, "I’ll have someone kidnap Tatiana. She’ll donate that bone marrow whether she wants to or not!”

Just then, Ralph hesitated.

After all, Tatiana was Maxim's chosen wife. If they crossed him...

"We should think of another way. Unless it's absolutely necessary, we shouldn't touch her. If we anger Maxim, it could end badly for us."
