Rebecca’s POV
What do they mean by these numbers? 6578… I kept on thinking about where I saw these numbers when I remembered mom is keeping a medium cash box in her room. I tiptoed as I went outside my room. I went to my mom’s room right away to check if that vault still exists.
I opened her cabinets and drawers and I couldn’t find what I was looking for. I looked at the corners and I was able to step on the line that led me to look under her bed.
I spotted the gray cash box that I am looking for. It has a combination lock but I didn’t know what it is because I was not interested in its contents until recently. I pulled the dusty cash box from the innermost part of her bed with my
Rebecca's POVGavin did what he planned. The next day is Friday. We had a class at 9:00 AM but he's an hour earlier. He smiled as he gave me another stem of red rose. I couldn't help but smile. I prepared breakfast before seven in the morning. I invited him over to share what I prepared for breakfast. It's coffee and some bagels. I also prepared fried chicken and some nuggets. He was so happy that he wished he could always do it. However, I didn't allow it for personal reasons. I am thankful that he didn't insist and he respected me for that. The next day, I got up early and did my usual morning routine. I went outside the house to breathe some fresh air. From the time mom died, this is the time I get to appreciate what I see around me. Although I wan
Rebecca's POVI ate quietly while he did the same. Well, this guy seemed to impress me a bit. Did he just follow what I told him? To shut up, like literally? We spent the next three minutes minding our own meal. Although, I am catching Gavin glancing at me from time to time."Am I annoying?" He asked out of nowhere. He didn't even look at me while he asked that. I observed his reaction and I don't like him for being serious. For me, he's a totally different person if he does that.
Rebecca's POV"Where are we going?""You'll know in a little while." He started driving the car. I looked around as we headed downtown. His car stopped beside the street where there was an array of flowers displayed in front of that part of the street. We both went out of the car. Gavin went inside the flower shop where flowers bloom the most. I saw him buying white and red roses."What are these for?" I held the bouquet of roses with alternate white and red colors while he paid them at the cashier. He pushed the door open for me to go out first. He closed the door slowly and the wind chime sounded as if to tell us to come again the next time.
Rebecca’s POVI went home with no choice, like literally! I really hate it when I am feeling busted as ever!I hate to see him following me as we go back to the previous set-up. It’s as if I don’t have any choice left for myself. After a series of arguments, we came up with a better plan: I will drive my own car while he will just follow me. I think it will be better that way. I don’t want to smell his scent whatsoever or be conscious to see him again near me.I quietly got out of the car while he followed me from behind. I glanced at him and I noticed that he’s trying to look around as if observing the whole place if someone is still following me or not. As we went inside the house, I tried relaxing as I reclined on the sofa. He sat farther, two

Rebecca's POVHe drove me silently after getting all the things that I will possibly need for my daily life in the new house."It is for your own good. I hope you understand." He said while being focused on the road. I sighed and looked the other direction.I never saw what their house looked like. I don't know if I could become comfortable on this kind of set up."Please don't worry. There were few people living in this house as of the moment. My mom is also abroad and my sister is staying at her condo unit not far from here, too." He assured me.We went outside the car and his maids approached me right away to carry my things. I was amazed about their hou
Rebecca’s POVI glanced at the wall clock and it was already past nine in the evening. I haven’t seen Gavin’s car driving inside their garage yet. I already finished my dinner at eight in the evening. I also took a quick glance at my phone but I also didn’t receive any message coming from him yet. Everything got boring when I finally decided to just stay in the guest room that is now my temporary room.I looked through the window and I can see the wide lawn from the ground floor. Still no sign of him that’s arriving anytime. I can’t help but to assume things again. I really hate it when it will strike me. I can’t help but to overthink things that are not even necessary at this point of time. I am starting to hate myself.A ring on my
Rebecca’s POVWhat is she doing here?“Oh,there you are…” Gavin noticed me standing beside him. He still looks worried because he’s also giving his attention to Francine as well."What happened?" I simply asked him out of being curious.""She called me and she was so drunk and wasted. I can never drop her between the road so I brought her here for the meantime.""Wow, I never thought this would be a reunion?" I told him with sarcasm. He looked confused as she shifted his gaze to me and Francine. What he said really heightened what I feel right now. A little bit of irritation and a whole lot of frustration in one."It is not what you think it is, okay? This is an emergency situation."I sighed and slowly went back to the guest room and I started to pack my bags again. I guess it is not better for me to stay here anymore since the house is too crowded for me. With Francine and me here in one roof, I
