Chapter 61: Living the lies

Rebecca’s POV

I opened the window of my door and it was a surprise for me that Gavin’s car is still outside the house. Is he really nuts? What is he doing all night long? Did he spend the whole night waiting for a miracle?

It was my fault because I also did assume that he will just leave because all the doors were already locked. But, what happened was the least that I am expecting, for real.

 

I noticed him looking at me from inside of his car. He was able to go outside real quick and stood in front of me with pleading eyes. He stood there, not moving a muscle but I can see the way his eyes looked at me.

 

"What do you think you're doing?"

"Doing my job?" He said, looking weary as ever. I guess he felt frustrated three times as what I am feeling right now.

I am aware that I indeed treat him like this all of a sudden but can he blame me? He's being a real-time jerk and I hate it when it happens.
