A PROMISING DAY

She walked to where the supplies were and picked up a polished and sleek pistol. Reynolds came to stand beside her and did same but opted for a classic revolver.

Both took their position at the shooting line. "Go on first," Reynolds said. Amy aimed with determination at the bullseye on the target board. She pulled the trigger,and the bullet went straight to hit the bullseye.

She turned to Reynolds who only smiled and aimed at his target board. Within seconds, his bullet hit the bullseye as well. The sound of shots rang out intermittently as both focused on their targets.

The game continued until it was left with the last shot for each of them to make. Amy could already smell her victory. She aimed at her target and just as she pulled the trigger, her phone rang making her lose her aim and shooting below the bullseye. She groaned.
