THE AUDIENCE

Amy groaned and turned her face the other way as a fragment of sunlight shone on her face. The bed didn't feel familiar and her eyes shot open. The events of the last night came back to her and she looked down into the duvet and sighed.

She looked around the room but didn't see any sign of Reynolds. Was she even expecting him to still be there waiting for her?She questioned herself. Typical of him to bolt, was she so bad that he couldn't wait to get away from her, she thought.

She untangled herself from the duvet and made her way to her nightie which was slung over the chair. She put it on, looked at the bed one more time, thought of making the bed but decided not to.

Opening the door, she peeped outside to check if anyone was outside. When the coast was clear, she closed the door behind her and walked back to her room.

She picked up her phone from where she left it plugged on the nightstand and put it on. "12pm!It's midday already?" Amy screamed.
