“I… I was…” Janet couldn’t come up with a plan.

But Edwin’s eyes went to Janet’s, and he noticed she was holding a shopping bag.

“You went to shopping?” Edwin asked. Janet looked toward his gaze and remembered she had gone to buy some necessary things for her mom.

She wanted to send these to her when she would meet her tomorrow before leaving.

Rebecca had assured her she would take care of her, but Janet wanted to cover as much as possible before leaving.

The doctor has advised her to keep Rim in their hospital as it wouldn’t be wise to move her at this moment. So, she could only leave Rim behind.

“I was feeling bored, so I went to buy something for Mom,” Janet explained.

“You could have informed me. I would have ordered Ben to buy them,” Edwin stood up with a defeated sigh and walked toward his room without further argument.

He was worried about her, so he returned early.
